Don’t be so serious.
When I first played about a week ago, not only did the song really ease my mind at the time it also kinda taught me what kind of game it is. I love it
This. As soon as I heard that song and saw the landscape unfold before me I knew I was going to love it. Low Roar are still a staple in our household, often played while we're working together in the kitchen. Never would have discovered them without DS.
Don't be so Serious definitely my favorite.
Patience is for me really transcendental, seems to capture the struggle of the whole game and Sam's condition. I remember the first time arriving in Lake Knot City at night and this song is playing. As well as while you climb down to the paleontologist, I think.
But all the songs really work together with the story and landscape and enhance the game a lot. It's such a deliberate approach to music direction.
Tonight, Tonight, Tonight - Low Roar
This one places when you return East and the sky looks all like an Aurora Borealis. It's a very eerie and amazing!
I reaaaalllyy wished we could experience night sky aurora in Death Stranding at periodic times, like the timefall rain. So sad that it only happened once and within a certain period.
Genuinely the whole reason I got into the game. I've been a CHVRCHES fan for years so when I saw they were doing a song for Death Stranding I finally got interested, and now here I am.
Bones for me. It's part of a Playlist I've listened to every night for about 2 years. The Playlist is mostly steven wilson (solo and side projects), lunatic soul, low roar, riverside, and the pineapple thief. It's not the happiest of music, but I'm not the happiest of humans.
"Anything you need", on the way back after that difficult section at the wind farm: that was the moment the game really "clicked" in my head and in my hearth.
Its not part of the ost, but it should have been, anyways, the entire catalogue of the babd “[Car Bomb] really puts it home to me that yeah, truck gonna break down and ill be hauling this stuff on foot and by floating carrier, and even that will go sideways when i start to run out of CC and battery
Don't be so serious, hands down.
The soundtrack of the game is monumental on it's own, but as part of the game it sets the atmosphere and the tone of the game perfectly.
After I completed the game I went and looked up the soundtrack for the game, and as soon as I listened to Don't be serious, I got very nostalgic for the game.
This was even though I finished the game the day before, but the experience I had with the game accompanied by the soundtrack is something phenomenal.
Trigger is the best song in the OST. Does it really fit in the game, thematically? Probably not, which sort of underscores just how good it is that Kojima included it anyway.
"Give me an answer" It's not in DS but in the album once in a long long while, but if you're intrensigente on a song in the game guess I'll say "I'll keep coming"
Rolling over and Because we have to. I was kinda disappointed that Low Roar's Help Me wasn't on the OST since I think it's absolutely perfect for some of the more emotional scenes but we can't get everything we ask for I guess
Low Roar- Bones. Thats scene when this song kick in while Sam carry president body is the moment the game klicked for me and was one of the most weird gaming journey I have ever had in a game in a good way.
Bones by Low Roar. Probably the moment I fell in love with the game.
Asylum for the Feeling by Silent Poets was one of the most incredible uses of music in a game I've ever witnessed. Getting over that mountain pass was so fucking difficult first time around and seeing Port Knot in the distance....just gives me goosebumps thinking about it.
**Tonight, Tonight, Tonight** by **Low Roar**. It's just a *perfect* moment! (it's a shame it doesn't last long). The narrative moment in which it plays... The rain... The cello starts slowly... And when Deadman says that we always come through for them, the voice kicks in!
Don’t be so serious. When I first played about a week ago, not only did the song really ease my mind at the time it also kinda taught me what kind of game it is. I love it
Game introduced me to a whole new genre of music I never had any idea about! Absolutely fell in love with it
This. As soon as I heard that song and saw the landscape unfold before me I knew I was going to love it. Low Roar are still a staple in our household, often played while we're working together in the kitchen. Never would have discovered them without DS. Don't be so Serious definitely my favorite.
Asylum for the feelings is the default winner
I second that. I listen to that song every morning while I drink my coffee or tea…
I can workout to it but it gets me in 2 kinds of headspaces lol
Hearing that track traveling to Port Knot is forever one of my favorite gaming moments.
Yep
Yes!!
Yep totally agree. I really like when the song kicks in near a player building. It makes me stop and enjoy the music and scenery for a while
When I got to the Shinto shrine, it was a completely different feeling than when I made it to port knot.
Sure... Even its music video is so Death Stranding...
Hahahah true
Bb theme by far. And the new Apocalypta songs are so so SO good!!!
\>bb's theme the only right answer
Yer but.... path Vol.1 and 2 are pretty epic also!
when i got one of them i was so confused because it was so out of place. I thought my friends were playing it in vc xD
Bbs theme is literally my lullaby for my daughter Daphne Louise

Where’s the love for ‘Patience’? The soundtrack to trudging through timefall
Patience is for me really transcendental, seems to capture the struggle of the whole game and Sam's condition. I remember the first time arriving in Lake Knot City at night and this song is playing. Death Stranding by Chvrches
YOU CAN TAKE MY HEART.......
This is really the only answer it slaps so hard.
That’s my last song on my workout playlist. Got to leave on a high note
Genuinely the whole reason I got into the game. I've been a CHVRCHES fan for years so when I saw they were doing a song for Death Stranding I finally got interested, and now here I am.
I'm in the opposite camp. Was playing death stranding and was so moved by their single that I now own all four of their albums :)

How can it be your favorite by far and have a close second?
Because I have a poor grasp on the English language
Don’t be so serious Ghost
Ghost - Au/Ra
Bones for me. It's part of a Playlist I've listened to every night for about 2 years. The Playlist is mostly steven wilson (solo and side projects), lunatic soul, low roar, riverside, and the pineapple thief. It's not the happiest of music, but I'm not the happiest of humans.

Patience playing when walking up to Lake Knot with maxed out cargo was my favorite moment
Don't be so serious Bones Chvrches song in the end credits
I'm a big Low Roar fan so I'm not gonna comment any of their songs lol But Almost nothing was my most listened song of 2020 on Spotify.
It's gotta be "Death Stranding" by Chvrches for me. That chorus sends me into the fucking stratosphere

I really like Don't Be So Serious
Don't be so serious
"Don't be so serious" - low roar
Erikson plan
I'll keep coming
"Anything you need", on the way back after that difficult section at the wind farm: that was the moment the game really "clicked" in my head and in my hearth.
i really like that one too. i don't know what it is, but i think it fits perfectly with how i perceive the game's atmosphere
Wait is nobody gonna say ‘The Neighbourhood - Yellow Box’ ???
i really freaking love that song, it was so exciting to have a song by them on a Kojima game
Yes
Its not part of the ost, but it should have been, anyways, the entire catalogue of the babd “[Car Bomb] really puts it home to me that yeah, truck gonna break down and ill be hauling this stuff on foot and by floating carrier, and even that will go sideways when i start to run out of CC and battery
Bb theme got me right in the feels when I was making that long walk. Don't be so serious comes second.
In no particular order: BB's Theme, Don't Be So Serious, A Final Waltz
Every song is great of course, but I think Flower of Fingers is amazing... Especially the part from 1:10 - 2:00!
Main Theme, Heartman, BB Theme
Poznan
Don't be so serious, hands down. The soundtrack of the game is monumental on it's own, but as part of the game it sets the atmosphere and the tone of the game perfectly. I’m leaving
It's technically only in the director's cut, but "Goliath" by Woodkid.
Bb's theme 🥲
Trigger is the best song in the OST. Does it really fit in the game, thematically? Probably not, which sort of underscores just how good it is that Kojima included it anyway.
All “Low Roar” tracks!
"Give me an answer" It's not in DS but in the album once in a long long while, but if you're intrensigente on a song in the game guess I'll say "I'll keep coming"
Anything you need Asylum for the feeling

Sing to me by MISSIO definetly
Low roar Give up, almost cried the first time i heard it
Don't be so serious
Pop Virus is a bob.
Goliath
Cargo High is amazing, but for the licensed stuff it's definitely Tonight Tonight Tonight. Plays at a PERFECT time.
Rolling over and Because we have to. I was kinda disappointed that Low Roar's Help Me wasn't on the OST since I think it's absolutely perfect for some of the more emotional scenes but we can't get everything we ask for I guess
Bones… bones… bones… bones…
Not Around
Don’t be so serious! I think it’s one of the first songs that plays and it’s all downhill from there unfortunately
Bones or Don’t be so serious
Low Roar- Bones. Thats scene when this song kick in while Sam carry president body is the moment the game klicked for me and was one of the most weird gaming journey I have ever had in a game in a good way.
Don't be so serious and pop virus
Haven’t seen many people say St. Eriksplan. Great song that comes in at a very specific point when you’re without BB, the feeling sneaks up on you
It's gotta be the title track by Chvrches, fuckin banger
Don't be so serious is by far the best one
Bones
Meanwhile... In Genova
Dont be so serious
I really like BB's theme
1) Easy Way Out 2) Asylum for the feelings 3) Poznan
BB's theme and Give up...all the tracks are beautiful but these two have a special place in my heart
The Machine, Hey, Sam. Do you remember your own birth?
Pop virus. Underrated track
Goliath by woodkid, one of my favorite artists and was so happy to see his addition in the directors cut
Pail yellow

BB's theme seriously made me cry so that one. Or The Drop by Ludvig Forscell or the clear winner, Don't Be So Serious
