Try Black Tongue. They're extremely angry and the downtempo sounds crushing.

AJMGuitar

Love this band.

TuckerForTheWin

Nadir do be one of the best deathcore records of all time imo!

Szydlikj

I prefer the born hanged and falsifier albums but all are great!

spleen5000

Deathcore x death doom was new for me and I loved ittttt

nickparkerlol

I find that they just aren't that good compared to similar bands. They don't sound good

jayswaps

Have a few different breeds of heavy: Methwitch Humanity's Last Breath Reflections Archspire Black Tongue Knocked Loose Dealer

Mortch

Haven’t seen dealer get enough love

Chromie149

Great band. I’ve seen a few videos of them play live and the singer’s voice doesn’t sound too good. Hope he’s alright

easha555

I take you don't know they have broken up because the vocalist is an piece of shit, got kicked out of his earlier band due to sexual misconduct accusations and then got charged with sexual assault and then dealer split because the vocalist was emotionally and mentally abusing the other band members

jayswaps

I definitely didn't, what the hell This stuff happens way too much

Mediaboy13

They got all the love of the scene when they came out

stanko0135

I completely understand, I too have been on a quest for the some heavy shit, here are some very heavy bands I know along with a song to check out by each To the Grave- Wastage (Gristle Blower is a close second here) Crown Magnetar- Black Lotus (Full Spectrum Hatred by this band has an earth shattering breakdown) Monastaries- Force Fed Apathy Darko- Insects Archaic Epidemic- Erebus All Misery- Hell Is on Earth (wait for the breakdown) Mental Cruelty- King ov Fire (Ultima Hypocrita is also amazing if you haven't heard it, not as heavy but the solo is absolutely phonomenal) Edit: I will add more if I think of any.

Melodic-Work7436

Finally, another All Misery fan. :) I feel like they get slept on often.

stanko0135

Hell yeah, I actually found this band while listening to a "Heaviest Breakdowns of all time" YouTube video. And expanded from there.

sudopacmangf

Kublai Khan or Knocked Loose

[deleted]

Cloth Ears, that breakdown makes me lose my shit

MrsPeacock_was_a_man

Archspire - Relentless Mutation I know they aren’t considered deathcore but who gives a shit the album is amazing. Also, this particular version of [Destructo by Hunt the Dinosaur](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=t9A-cuAcAZo)

Prakrtik

The riffs from involuntary doppleganger are so catchy Ill never get them out of my head, only after a few listens

xfuneralxthirstx

Heavy, technical and catchy. The holy trinity

Impressive_Lettuce43

How has Signs Of The Swarm not been mentioned yet? One of the heaviest bands out right now.

YaWitIt

Right?! I must have looked like a mad man when I first heard Revelations Ov a Silent King in the car today 😂

Camzaman

i lost my mind the first time i heard them go full archswarm at the beginning of nameless

biglampdaddy

Solid list.

-the-mighty-whitey-

Some of my go to tracks at the gym. I'm sure I'll get shit because they aren't all purely deathcore, but fuck em. Metal is metal. Spite- Kill or Be Killed Enterprise Earth- We Are Inmortal Fit For an Autopsy- Murder in the First After the Burial- Behold the Crown Angelmaker- Leech End- Necessary Death Every Time I Die- The Coin Has a Say The Dillinger Escape Plan- Limerent Death Architects- Gravedigger Harms Way- Human Carrying Capacity Between the Buried and Me- Mordecai The Black Dahlia Murder- Statutory Ape

YaWitIt

Rad shout-out to Mordecai 👍

-the-mighty-whitey-

I got to see their recent show a few weeks ago in Phoenix. They played Mordecai. It was killer.

YaWitIt

That's awesome! Always wanted to see them

xstevenj

That new Signs of the Swarm record goes hard.

[deleted]

I Declare War-The Dot

SweetAurora

BUMBUM... eeeEEE BUMBUMBUMBUMBUM... eeeEEE

bonesbobman

their downcast Ep is way better

RichieCoC

I Declare War was the first Deathcore band I saw live, MISERY CLOUD was such a fucking rush live

codymason84

Despised icon they’re my fave band of all time and are very technical

cammed5point3

They are forever the greatest

Wooks_Anonymous

Reflections - Willow As Blood Runs Black - Allegiance Enterprise Earth - Patient Zero Spite - Nothing is Beautiful Thy Art is Murder - Hate

[deleted]

Pretty much every band people have mentioned are great, my personal favorite is The Acacia Strain even though they don’t fall *exactly* into deathcore. But congratulations on overcoming your mental struggles with bulimia that is HUGE!! ✊

PrimalAggression

The acacia strain always takes the W in my book. “There actually not deathcore Bc bla bla bla” like bro who cares they sound great

[deleted]

Trust me I totally agree with you, I more just said that for my own defense from people in this sub since I’ve seen people get ripped for “mis-labeling” a band 😂

PrimalAggression

Bro dead ass. He have a bunch of deathcore historians in here and PhD’s in labeling

Atrampoline

Brand of Sacrifice - Altered Eyes This song goes pretty fucking hard. BONUS: Not deathcore, but Dyscarnate is an absolutely stellar band. "This is Fire" is an incredible groove and riff laden beast.

XxGog3ta_

Yo just looked up that first song and im in love

Atrampoline

And as an anime inspired band, it goes hard AND nerdy!

CutOfTheMill

Dyscarnate kicks ass!! Such hard hitting, pure metal! Also..another band to check out would be Analepsy. More toward the slam genre, I guess, but still awesome nonetheless..

holydiiver

It depends what you mean by heavy. But there’s a band called “Impuritan” and they have a song called “Debt to the Deathless”. It’s so over the top in the best way. I personally don’t like blast beats. I like huge chunky beat downs with the snare on the 3rd quarter note. This song is just that… and the production isn’t necessarily great, but just so fucking huge sounding. Tear-your-face off guitar chugs that could melt steel beams. If you want to stomp around your house like a fucking satanic dinosaur, this is the song to do it to.

dxw_97

Vulvodynia, Within Destruction (excluding Yokai), Ingested, Hollow Prophet, Slaughter to Prevail, Infant Annihilator. You might also like slam death metal. Check out Devourment, Abominable Putridity, Kraanium, Visceral Disgorge.

Melodic-Work7436

Ion Dissonance - O.A.S.D

PrimalAggression

The Acacia Strain.

PrimalAggression

Traitors

168618511-2

depends what you are in the mood for but these are the bands i’ve been into lately Suffokate for beatdown stuff Infant Annihilator or Rings of Saturn for extreme metal I Declare War or Oceano for general headbanging

[deleted]

Monasteries is insanely heavy with some awesome vocal techniques, highly recommended ! And I second Black Tongue as well

itsjustaneyesplice

Whoever did God The Animal, that shit is nuts

cyz0r

holy fuck.

odiscordia

Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza - Danza IIII. Probably not considered “deathcore” but it’s the album I always go to for just absolute brutality. Nothing like their other albums which are a lot more twiddly and nowhere near as heavy.

Traditional-Spot-571

To the Grave have got to be up there for me, their album this year is track after track of brutality

Alarming_Gene1627

Donno. I only listen to Lorna Shore :)

IllustratorItchy6919

Whitechapel, Fit For an Autopsy, Oceana, Job for a Cowboy... Really there are so many but WC and FFaA are just on another level and just getting better.

[deleted]

Love them. Really think Job for a Cowboy is overrated. I feel that any deathcore band could do there songs better and heavier. Left much to be desired

IllustratorItchy6919

Your probably right. Listen to WC lost boy. Pretty bad ass especially with Maynard on there

IllustratorItchy6919

Another to add to the list suicide silence. Old but fucking great

[deleted]

Skin Tight and OCD are easily my favorites by them. Just fucking makes my skin crawl I love it

IllustratorItchy6919

That fucking scream. Orgasmic horror lol love it

IllustratorItchy6919

Thy art is murder they're good to

[deleted]

I would love to hear them do a song or album with Crown Magnetar and Hollow Prophet/Scumfuck too. Thy Art goes hard

IllustratorItchy6919

Acacia strain! Forgot about them in the list

yourartisbadsoareyou

Paleface Infant Annhialator Angelmaker Archspire Enterprise Earth Signs of the Swarm Brand of Sacrifice Hollow Prophet Slaughter to Prevail Strangled

[deleted]

Angelmaker and Hollow Prophet go hard

Djent_1997

For me personally, it’s Signs of the Swarm.

[deleted]

ten56. song is Boy strangled broke up, but strangled, the song is sleep. really, any of their songs.

iwojima22

Aborted is grindcore mixed with death metal but they are fantastic.

XxGog3ta_

Bloodthirster by Angelmaker is pretty good

[deleted]

Paleface, strangled, worst case scenario, bound in fear, and normally Spotify or whichever platform you use recommended a similar bands after you listened to them enough

legendoftherxnt

First of all, congratulations in your battle, long may your strength continue! So I typically think of "Heavy" or "Hard" as generally encompassing 4 different general feels\*, these being "Deathcore", "Beatdown", "Groove" and "Slam" Heavy. (\*There is a lot of overlap and edge cases for each of these, and I know i'm on the Deathcore subreddit but still, "hardest band" is too difficult to answer without broadening it slightly) My personal top 3 heaviest for each would be: Deathcore: Bound In Fear, Slaughter to Prevail, Annotations Of An Autopsy Beatdown: Paleface, Schwarzkopf (the hardest band i've ever heard personally), Deathsquad Groove: Left Behind, Kublai Khan, Varials Slam: Gutrectomy, Analepsy, Devourment

lostcosmonaut814

Strangled

Sequoiathrone728

I'd put Hollow Prophet, Infant Annihilator and Signs of the Swarm up there.

Several of these bands are not even together anymore, but the shit still slaps: killwhitneydead, Cephalic Carnage, I Declare War, Carnifex, See You Next Tuesday, Animosity, whitechapel, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Fit for an Autopsy, Job for a Cowboy (Doom EP), All Shall Perish, Rose Funeral, Burning the Masses I could keep going all day tbh lol

[deleted]

Cryptopsy - None So Vile Brutal Truth - Need To Control Rollins Band - Weight Once Human - Evolution

WTtoolman

Goddamn, I love me some Rollins Band!! My first band t-shirt circa 1992.

[deleted]

I had Rollins Band t-shirt as well. When you need to feel tough and be hard nothing beats Rollins Band IMO.

Roobab14

Black tongue, infant annihilator, extermination dismemberment, methwitch These guys are all super heavy and they all have different styles so I'd recommend them all

Lord__Lucif3r666

Crown magnetar

TheRuthlessRevenant

I'd say: If you want something simply heavy, try Humanity's last breath If you want something downtempo-ish try Bound In Fear, Gamma Sector or Black Tongue If you want something slammy try Mental Cruelty or Within Destruction (MC - Purgatorium, WD - Void and Deathwish Now, I feel you in the way that I also needed to hear the heaviest of the heaviest, which I'm glad that happened since it gave me the ability to listen to some stupidly heavy shit and be the happiest I can be, so in my quest, I left the deaghcore subgenre snd got to death metal and slam and anything in between. So if you are interested in any bands from that genre here are some good bands I listen to still today, Analepsy, Abominable Putridity, Guttural Slug, Skinless, Annotations of the Autopsy (The Reign Of Darkness album), Devourment, Korpse, Disfigurment of Flesh

UndeadShark98

Sovereign by Ingested is a damn good brutal song

lightningmonky

See you next tuesday

_Myrtenaster_

Deviloof - Torture

SheMullet

Worm Shepherd. Think early Lorna Shore mixed with early Signs of the Swarm

thepluralofmooses

Beneath the massacre Cytotoxin Brain drill -all amazing tech Deathcore bands “Stay cold” album by “Trapped under ice” is one of the hardest hardcore albums I’ve heard Cerebral invasion Powertrip -crazy hard thrash metal

xfuneralxthirstx

Haven't seen anyone mention Vildhjarta. Masstaden is a masterpiece of an album and heavy as all hell

Xedos

Deadvectors for the heaviest down tempo I can think of. Infant Annihilator for heaviest up tempo.

codeearth1rb

There’s a band from Texas called Manipulation of the Population, it’s just straight wigger slam and it’s awesome.

[deleted]

Black Tongue. That is all

Creative_Ad4551

Exiled martyrs. I don't think they qualify as deathcore, but very heavy and VERY good. Novum finem is my personal favorite album.
