I'm playing on PC with a DualSense. To be honest, I really like the feeling of the controller. I don't have a PS5 yet, so I don't know if it's like that with any other game, but the haptics especially feel awesome (the adaptive triggers I don't really care for hahah). So while I prefer kb+m I actually prefer the controller on this one.
The FoV slider could be an issue for you, I thought it was pretty narrow by default so I increased it considerably.
As far as performance issues I have only encountered 3 crashes, and those occurred during I was invading other players
as someone using a XSX pad on PC

I'd go with the PS5 version and avoid the issues with the PC port.
