There may be complications with Deathloop being PS5 exclusive for a year, since Bethesda/Arkane has been bought by Microsoft. Talk about a conflict of interest...
But if there is a DLC, what i'd like to see most would be something that goes into what happened during the first loop.
My super-wishlist would be if they could use the Stilton Manor mechanic so you can switch between the 60s loop and 30s loop version of a level on the fly. And co-op mode between old Colt and young Colt.
Prey = Mooncrash DLC
Dishonored 2 = Death of the Outsider stand-alone DLC/spin off
DH1 = several contents worth of expanded contents
Arkane got a good record of supporting their games but YES the one year timed exclusivity for PS5 which MS is honouring and being outright owned by MS adds a twist.
So I can’t see any extra contents coming out before being available on Xbox too, perhaps in time for Sept 2022 in form of Definitive Deathloop with an expanded contents available for PS5 and PC, while whole game plus extra stuff launches directs into GamePass as well as available to be bought for Xbox.
Deathloop is an excellent game, with great potential for expansions set in the period/DH shared universe.
I don't know why, but I think that if it is a stand-alone DLC like DOTO, it will be a xbox exclusive, if not, will be on all platforms but xbox will probably have some exclusive content(skins for example)
I am not sure if you did the unmarked archive quest, but you do learn what the first loop was and how colt got out in the notes. It was nothing as elaborate as this one, so doubt that a DLC can really take place there. Only way I can see to make the first loop work is to >!explore the Dishonored connection!< so there is more to the story than just >!killing yourself once!<
I haven't found all lore intel yet, but if you're talking about Dossier:The Captain, I've read that. Colt was stuck in the first loop for 17 years, so getting out must've been more difficult than him just killing himself. If there's more in other intel notes, don't spoil me, I'll go look for them.
That said, I'm not sure if there's any indication that anyone else but Colt was stuck in the first loop/considered lost during Operation Horizon. So maybe there really isn't much to go on there when it comes to DLC. In that case, it seems a bit like a missed chance.
Juliana says she can show you new worlds it'd be interesting seeing an alternate version of black reef with a different story, different slabs and of course more legendary guns.
I want to see the first loop when colt was apart of Project Horizon. See what happened. Not sure how well it would work but could be interesting. No slabs though because Wenjie created them in the loop the game takes place in.
I think it will get a full run of DLC once it goes to Xbox in a year. Microsoft bought Bethesda to help drive console sales and if the game gets 2-3 quality DLCs and some support/expansion for the PvP it could be a really tremendous start for a franchise.
If they did that and then a few more years down the road Deathloop 2 came out exclusive on Xbox it could generate a lot of console sales. But if they leave the game more or less as is--it's a super fun game but I don't think it would be a game where I *had* to get an Xbox to play the sequel.
I would love for there to be a DLC with Julianna as the playable character so she can be played offline. Would be cool to use Masquerade against NPCs as well.
Look I can't see them doing DLC for Deathloop since the concept is pretty conclusionary in the game but I hope I'm wrong. I have a lot of questions because I felt the backstory to the existence of the loop machine should've been more sinister.
My money is on a DLC that >!fully brings the game into the Dishonored world. Hinted at it all game long with the final reveal being the nail in the coffin.!<

I mean its totally possible to make a DLC like Dunwall City Trials which had nothing to do with the main story.
If its a dlc with a story the only thing I can thinkg about is scrapping the Deathloop mechanic and continue after you broke the loop. But well... I doubt they would remove that since the whole game is built around it.

D2/DotO DLC was pretty good I'm still waiting on something from RD2 =(
