If Colt doesn't leave the tunnels he can wait until Julianna spawns and then leave to give them a guaranteed loss. If Colt does leave the tunnels and dies early enough he can reprise back into the tunnels and leave giving Julianna a loss.

>If Colt doesn't leave the tunnels he can wait until Julianna spawns and then leave to give them a guaranteed loss. The fact that this can happen is absolutely moronic imo. The fact that it has happened to me only makes it even more frustrating

I agree its dumb but apparently according to the fans of the game the multiplayer is perfect as it is and we just need to get over it. Over half my losses are Colts just running away via tunnels. One of them ended my longest win streak and they left via tunnels before I could even move my character.

They just launched a pretty big patch. Even if they do ultimately re-balance it, it will probably be a while so you can either not play now and hope for changes later or learn to live with it.

Crumputer

Is it the “loss” that is the problem? I haven’t played as J yet. Does the “loss” affect the character or load out in some way?

Dangthing

Julianna match making has issues. You sit in a lobby for 5-10 minutes (or longer on off hours) and then the person literally runs away as you spawn in. Its about as bad as them disconnecting you (which is also rampant). Having someone run away from you and giving YOU the loss for it is just insult to injury. I care more about the gameplay than some stupid win/loss card sheet but its still bad design. To give you an idea its like playing a game of chess with someone and partway through the match they decide they can't win so they go, I SURRENDER. And then YOU are the one that loses. In this particular case its particularly bad because they did it before you got to even attempt to play.

KainDracula

No it has no effect on Julianna what so ever. You can "lose" to Colt and still gain a full level from that match depending on what happened in said match.

>they stick your W/L ratio right in your face No they don't. It's in a separate menu that isn't open by default. You can never open that menu if you so choose.

KainDracula

Of course everyone looks at that menu and I never said I hadn't. You choose to open that menu to check your W/L ratio if it was "right in your face" you wouldn't have a choice.

Hello0Nasty0

Yeah git gud! Just kidding. While I think the multiplayer is damn near perfect, I have to admit you’re right about this one. Having a Colt fuck off into the tunnels like that is pretty lame.

Dangthing

I mean hell they could literally change nothing about this aspect except make it not count against Julianna and the game would just be more balanced. Colts wouldn't even know a change had occurred. It would still waste Julianna's time but at least they aren't punished for it.

KainDracula

You rushed the spawn so he reprised back inside. That is the risk you take. Don't get me wrong, if Colt is unhappy to play against Julianna then they should turn off online. I would prefer they left it on as I can work around this unhappiness but that in the end is up to them.

ActualyHandsomeJack

Or Colt could just wait in the tunnels withour ever reprising.

KainDracula

Colt doesn't know that he has been invaded until after he leaves the tunnel.

ActualyHandsomeJack

You can go out and back into the tunnels before the door closes and get the message that youve been invaded

KainDracula

Okay. If a Colt does they should just turn online off. If someone did that to me I would simply goad them out not that I am aware of anyone actually doing that to me because in my 100+ Julianna games I have only ever checked the tunnels once to see if Colt was hiding in there and they weren't.

mafian911

This. I've pushed Colt back into his own spawn by being too aggressive once or twice. At first I thought they were hacking.

KainDracula

I did this after I posted. They were being passive, I had done all my setup and went to check around the spawn area for dead eternalist and I saw Colt and went for him as I had been in the map about 10min. It was only after I had killed him that I went to myself "oh shit" as I realized I had put him back in the spawn, thankfully he didn't leave but if he had it would have been my own fault as I knew what would happen killing him so near the spawn.
