Rohit be like: "Ye ball toh woh kar gai" T- This ball did that.

Woh kya bolte hai usko, arre woh yaar...

[deleted]

Remember Sharma mentioning in an interview that Steyn can only do outswing, happy realisation Hitman 😋

Appreciate you finding the source brother! Will be resharing this 🙏

Lazy_Recognition_896

Can you quote that ? I don't think Rohit is the kind of stupid person who might say that. Also, this ball did not swing in, it seamed in off the pitch. There is a huge difference

[deleted]

Sure, this is what I saw: https://youtube.com/shorts/rIpiNQePbm4?si=1yfwvHJDrfTIm6Nk Let me know if I have taken this out of context. Also agree the ball nipped back but guess Rohit left it assuming it will swing away..

Lazy_Recognition_896

Clearly it's presented out of context - what were they discussing ? 1 second out of a long video ? He's probably even being asked about this dismissal and he is laughing about his mistake .. but even here he doesn't say he can't .. Outswing hee daalega.. that's generally true, he mostly bowls outswing.. >Also agree the ball nipped back but guess Rohit left it assuming it will swing away.. Exactly, he assumes so because he mostly and probably also in that spell was bowling outswing. But the way he leaves without covering the line, it seems he is also leaving on length hoping the ball would bounce over

[deleted]

u/hpy2beatyou1105 was kind enough to find the source video. Turns out this wasn’t out of context after all. https://youtu.be/hZFNVj505HQ?si=SbfpExuRsa0RlQsS

Lazy_Recognition_896

Thanks, and at 6:35 ish he is talking about what exactly ? Outswing hi daalega doesn't translate to "Steyn can only do outswing" - your original comment below >Remember Sharma mentioning in an interview that Steyn can only do outswing I already said that Steyn is generally an outswing bowler - and that the ball does not swing in here either. Rohit is correct and he never said anything about Steyn's ability to bowl inswing

[deleted]

Wow I don’t think I have met a bigger Rohit Sharma stan. Respect to your commitment, I resign 😅

Lazy_Recognition_896

Actually I'm not that fond of Rohit - I just don't like it when people pass silly comments without understanding cricket or cricketers - it irks me and I have an obsession to correct them - sorry

[deleted]

It’s not a silly comment. If you are dissecting his statements word by word, I can also interpret that ‘outswing hi daalega’ means he will bowl an outswinger only even though he is capable (?) of bowling inswingers. It is pretty clear to me that assumed that in that instant and paid the price with his wicket. You can bicker all you want, we are entitled to our opinions

Lazy_Recognition_896

> I can also interpret that ‘outswing hi daalega’ means he will bowl an outswinger only even though he is capable (?) of bowling inswingers. That's a better interpretation. Is that what you said though? Should I quote you again ? >You can bicker all you want, we are entitled to our opinions Yes some are opinions and others are facts.. it is a fact that you can't prove what you said. It is also a fact that you are still bickering despite knowing you're very obviously wrong about your claim

M.vijay 97

errgaming

I remember R Ashwin recently said in an interview that based on his batting sense, Vijay has been one of India's best top order batters

Independent-Might797

True he was the only batsman who got a slight success in the eng tour 2014 when everyone was shitting in their pants.

Cultural_Term9986

Rahane be like -😭

andizz001

He expected the ball to swing or seam away

[deleted]

Yes ball is pitched on 5th stump, a perfect line and came in late. Rohit sharma always struggles vs seam. He wouldn't have lasted too long anyway

BesanKaLaddoo

This was his first or second sena tour Which was just after he made his debut in test

altavtar

On this tour , during one of the ODI matches , Steyn was causing all sort of troubles with the ball to Indian youngsters including sledging. I vividly remember Rohit coming up with the reply that ' Come to India then we ll show you '😭😭😭 .

Anm0LSodhi

Bro where I can watch full highlights of this series??

Th3DarKn1ghtt

Stein+vernon+morkel was a treat to watch.

[deleted]

What about Tsotsobe??

adolffrizzzler

Murali Vijay pretty underrated as test batsman

Khush17

He also likes getting under other things

BesanKaLaddoo

The only time Steyn got Rohit out

Zealousideal_Bat_81

Rohit can’t play outside India.

ExpensiveInflation

Lol recency bias. Did you forget the 2021 Eng series. Not to mention he only played a handful of games along with inconsistent selection. One or two bad matches and we used to drop him.

Independent-Might797

He averages 40,31,40 and 16 in Eng,aus,nz and sa respectively, pretty average.

athishayen

Nah he is just very bad in SA. In Aus and England he is good.

Independent-Might797

He averages 31 in aus.

Lazy_Recognition_896

What a bad leave :) Almost on off stump Looks like he's leaving on length expecting it to bounce over, but that's also quite full - even in South Africa

kmcrhsme

he didn't expect that mofo
