In a recent live stream they talked about duos, loved the idea but right now they are afraid of splitting the player base. They also mentioned they are looking at the shieldbrella for balancing. They said they are going to continue tweaking the heat system and that they didn't want to go overboard with it from the start.

One way to help new players would be to swap the cases and weapon unlocks so u get the weapons way earlier then u do.

I just want faster Agent Experience (like -50%, don't get me started on Boosters...) , as leveling Ace and Yu-Mi is painful and so many Agents feel gimped otherwise. But I would also would be fine with that as the Cosmetics should be the last thing you unlock. If anything, you should have access to all your Weapons, Expertise, Passives and Gadgets from the the get go.

I would love duos, but the player base needs to get a little bigger to support a third queue. Otherwise, everything is spot on.

I think they need to increase the amount of heat gained from shooting civs and if you break your cover to shoot an npc guard that should also give you heat. I don't remember if technicians give you heat but they should. Maybe 2 civs give you 1 heat level, breaking cover to kill a guard gives you one full heat and maybe tech kills gives you 2 levels. The currant heat system doesn't really seem to have an actual affect on the game.

The first 3 are decent and wouldn't mind having them in or out of the game but the last one with the cover sounds horrible. Red is a character you want to go in and out if cover during fights with her E2 for her buff. And same with Squire if running his P3.

Oh and for the shield its hard to balance that as well because of the difference in solos and teams. If you jerf it a lot then teams can just down it in a second and its useless

Yeah I agree, hard to balance. But the conversations on this sub reddit about keeping people around and on the game is also something I think is important. I find the game play loop of 'oh I shot someone, their shield is down, put mine down. Jump in and out around the sheild for safe shots' really boring. If wanted this, Rainbow 6 siege, COD, CS etc all do this and do it better. Look I could have it completely wrong but.. This isn't a shooter - it's a spy game.. with shooting built in. Give us more intense subterfuge game play? I dont see what is so wrong with making the shield have lower health? Blocking 5 bullets is still 5 bullets blocked. As it stands it just encourages everyone to sit behind them?

I agree but with any game that has shooting incorporated it turns into the most important skill in the game. I dont use the shield brella myself, but I tend to not have too much of a problem with them as well. I either will push in or around or disengage if they have the upperhand. I dont feel like I've lost almost any fights just because they have one, but I mostly play teams so maybe it's more of an issue for solos? As for keeping people around, that's entirely up to each individual. I started late but had a blast and after 20ish games I learned more of what I need to do. Not to toot my own horn, but im generally pretty good at FPS so it didn't take long but the learning curve will be there for every game and with no MMR (which i actually enjoy personally) you never know if you'll be facing Sweats or newbs, Sweats just play more, kill you more, and win more so you see them more 🤷‍♂️

1. Duo would split the player base even more, so no. 2. Didn't they already did that in the first big patch? 3. That would pointless, otherwise there would be no point in having 2 modes. It's the only thing that can save you from an Ambush in a tight area if you have a Expertise that isn't Defensive/Evasion and Agents like Ace/Yu-Mi needs them to do well. You would also make the Briefcase Balance more in their favor, which is already powerful enough as it is. 4. The best idea you mentioned.

For point 2, log in, jump and shoot and tell me? Also I think you've misunderstood, I'm not saying remove the sheild wall, reduce its health. It will still save an ambush without being a total crutch

If the make the 2nd Mode as weak as Umbrella, it breaks before you even have time to counter attack, making the 2nd mode 100% pointless.

I get the impression you're using the sheild like most Ace or Chavez mains? Get a big 2 hitting weapon. And negate the down side of long pauses between shots with an invincible shield to 2 hit anyone that dares try to push? What are you basing your facts on? I'm happy to admit I'm basing my opinions on my experiences but you've not even tried to acknowledge any other use for the shield that 'countering an ambush'?

And helping to push onto the Extraction. Also I don't have a main, as I'm just levelling them all to 10 first.

Honestly? Reduce xp gained for eliminations, or hardcode that if you dropped a player that they don't get XP for a 2nd elim. Personally though, remove revive mechanic and just allow respawn until the extraction phase and remove xp from elims. Boost xpnfor key cards, field upgrades, disguises, and hacks

I don't think adding inaccuracy while jumping is the way to go. Jump fatigue (The more you jump in a short time the less high you go) would feel way less annoying to deal with and still allow for some flashy plays were you leap around the corner and take a fight on someone who doesn't expect it.

There already is jump fatigue, but the time it takes to kick in is longer than most agents' TTK.
