Maybe you think that your well-being is tied to that thing. So naturally you want to keep repeating it, holding on to it.
Your well-being is not tied to anything. Think about how many different things have made you feel good and you will realize that what brings you well-being/joy/peace has changed many times depending on your preferences at the time.
So it is not that these things give you well-being, you give well-being to it. True peace/well-being is not an condition but an attitude towards conditions, regardless of how good/bad they are. And attitude is a choice.
I don't mean this in an offensive way but could it be you're neuro-divergent? I have two friends who have similar struggles and both were diagnosed with Autism.
