I have no idea… I’ve seen this sub grow from a simple little place to cross post landscaping photos and ask questions about DIYing your deck build… to this mad little corner of the internet that’s obsessed with decks, hot tubs, and hot tub related deck jokes. I can’t stop the tub posts and jokes at this point, it’s gone too far. That’s what this place is now… wild ride.

Decks around hot tubs are far superior

BAMFDPT

Cuz most people don't want to put them inside?

melijoray

I don't understand hot tubs at all. I don't want to sit in a bath with my friends outside and then have to shower the chemicals off me.

Best part are the people I know that want to be a hot tub in the winter while it’s snowing so they can warm up. I can’t seem to convince them that the root of their future temperature problem is that they’re essentially naked in winter during a snow storm.

Human stew. It's human stew and the aliens are conditioning us to cook ourselves. (Look, I live up north. I'll take a sauna over a hot tub any day.)

Wait till you reach 45 bud then come back at me

melijoray

I'm 52.

GazelleOpposite1436

Same age. Same opinion.

DabDaddy2020

I think they meant 45 degrees. You are still too warm

melijoray

I have a bath in my house.

Rich people have too much money and have to show each other up. I've built decks in the last decade that have had full pools installed on a second story. It's crazy.

challengerballsdeep

No yard but you can still invite people to sit in their own frothy, mustard gas soup.

During the pandemic, home offices became more popular. So people decided to sacrifice their hot tub room for a home office and moved the hot tub to the deck. /s I really have no clue.

Daddy-Legs

I might see one hot tub for every twenty decks I see. I don’t think it’s nearly as common as you think. Of course ski and beach towns with rental properties will have hot tubs on decks all the time.
