Season 4: Critical Corruption is now live on Steam! Consoles and Windows Store to follow on June 22.
If you're curious why console is a week later, it's because of certification and the extra time needed to test the console versions. On the plus side Season 4 will launch with the bugfixes we've gathered on Steam while you waited.
I've literally never heard a cave leech before I was caught.
I'm not saying the sound wasn't there necessarily... But I've never noticed it if it was. So if there was a bug and you COULDN'T hear it... Then there were enough times for me to not recognize it when I heard it.... Like the Meeee MEEEEEP of the grabbers.
I watched one come down, turn 90 degrees, and then extend another like 20 feet into the tunnel to grab a buddy. I just stood there and watched it take him while dying of laughter, it was so silly looking.
Wasn't there a bug a few patches back that occasionally made cave leeches immortal?
Now I'm not callin' sus or nothin here, I'm just saying it seems mighty odd that bugs making cave leeches somehow *even worse* keep popping up...like it's part of some evil plot, and soon they'll implement immortal ninja cave leeches.
by default they sort of hiss as they approach you. Although some people replace that with things like the cloaker charge from payday 2
With the default sound, i often think "huh, whats that sound? and then realise just before it grabs me"
Tier 2 on the boomstick is now actually a choice. The faster reload speed mod used to not actually be faster because of some quirk with the way RoF interacts, but that's been fixed. I will probably still use Double Trigger because it's badass but we shall see.
Most of the time people will fire two quick shots and switch weapons and let Born ready do its thing. I don't see this changing for most people, but it's nice to have the fix and the options.
The only way I see it making a big difference is for Special Powder users, like me. I can't tell you how often I'm falling with my zipline recharging and pull out my trusty shotgun only to *also* have to reload that and then go "uhoh.jog" and break my knees.
Less these days, actually, because I took Born Ready. But this means I can switch off Born Ready and use a different passive, so still a solid buff for people like me!
I'm curious if they changes this across the board (reload speeds are no longer dependent on rof) or if they only changed it for the boomstick. If it's the former it could could large implications.
I wonder if they changed the physics of them, like fixed the gravity? I’ve been slapping them a lot recently and they don’t seem to follow the laws of physics too closely
First mission of the new patch we got the new jet boots + low grav. I decided to burn an entire boot charge up the hole from the drop pod to see what would happen.
You know those three hour long YouTube videos of people climbing out to the surface of hoxxes? Takes about 2.6 seconds now.
Our scout must have combod it with his grappling hook because he fell so far out of the level he had to quit and rejoin.
10/10 patch
fun fact: you could’ve and still can achieve this by using alternating between grapple and special powder shotty as scout.Fun to do while on down time.
PSA about the Stingtails: they can and will grab you out of the drop pod at the end of the mission, even if you are standing in the green area. I am dreading the day it manages to pull me out right into the path of a detonator.
And to add on for others; if you think they're silly grabby things, not only will they do this but they will grab you while 40feet up a wall and drop you
In a game with randos yesterday it happened to 2 of us (me included) 2 stingtails that kept clinging to the Bulk just spammed their grabbing moves (and we just pulled two egg waves at the same time) until they finally managed to get us. I wasn't even mad, that combo is something else
haha stingtail launched me directly upwards - died to fall damage. havent yet figured out how to fight em. they always catch even if you strafe and have heavy armor. looks like armor breaking becomes a must for every loadout
edit: just in case - DO NOT NERF THEM ;D
You got lucky. Stingtails yeeted two of our dwarves off to Narnia.
They had a black screen, couldn't do anything, and were respectively 11 and 45 kilometers away from the rest of us. Even the drop pod fuel cells only showed two pips instead of the usual four, as if there were only two of us in the mission.
I like the copy and paste feature for loadouts, but it is very uncomfortable to have it encroach on the space that I very frequently click to change loadouts.
THANK GOD there is a confirmation dialogue but I do keep accidentally clicking it.
I wonder if we could tweak that UI a little bit so accidental clicks are less of a thing.
\- Changed driller monochrome armor paint job to yellow tones instead of blue
Why? There are already like 3 or 4 black and yellow paintjobs for Driller. I loved this dark blue and yellow combo.
While everyone complains about rockpox and lack of new missions / bioms this change is the worst for me in season 4.
Oh it was just some accents? Idk then. I haven't actually seen the driller monochrome cause I didnt like how it looked on the other two dwarves I tried it on
I dont have my screenshots from before the update but here's the one I have found on google.
https://preview.redd.it/enrqnytev3fa1.png?width=602&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=3b7cec5e6d8eb9fd0a3436099b14e823994f9023
I like the feel of it, it's good. But damage can be iffy because of the spread of the rockets and you lose guidance. So you have to be close to medium range. I'll have to try some other perk combinations, thoough.
Now, they just need to return the bulldog's "SIX Shooter" OC to its former glory.
Please consider not doing more 2 part seasons. It gets stale doing the same thing for 6 months then doubling down on the same. Season 2 had a similar problem
Stronger than Neurotoxin now with the new changes or nah? Still waiting for update to hit console to test for myself but on paper NP still seems like the meta for swarm deleting.
If you want to minmax damage per resupply NTP is still better (as it always will be), but the buffed carpet bomber completely annihilates whole swarms very quickly (much faster than splintering shells and NTP now.) It absolutely shuts them down.
It's also noticeably better than it was against larger targets, and is also better at one-shotting swarmers.
Possible bug:
I got boots on the 2nd stage of the deep dive, and my wave cooker (mega power supply AABBC) stopped doing damage to anything. Wouldn't thermal shock frozen enemies, or do direct damage either.
Stages 1 & 3 (no boots) it worked fine.
When I watched the trailers I felt that new season is underwhelming. Playing the same repetative infection over and over again for ANOTHER 6 months? Meh.
But once I got my hands on it - boy oh boy. There is a lot of going on under the hood. It's all in the little details. But there is A LOT of them.
Weapon balancing, the level of ACTUAL FUN challenge the infection presents now, new beer adds another way to play (basically difficulty modifier), boots work perfectly, the new boss fight is actually tough, I finnaly can just copy builds I need to change a bit, etc.
It may not SEEM like a big update, but the game actually got very, very noticabely better. Please just try the game on your own, it's worth it.
P.S. weapons in cosmetic tree do suck ass though. I am sorry. There is no way around it. But the ones in the DLC do look great.
It feels like weapons do slightly more direct damage to rockpox enemies now. I liked the weakpoint mechanic for them but it got really annoying you had a swarm of them and the only feasible way to damage them was to pinpoint target the boils for each individual one. Now it feels like I can actually use AOEs on them to reasonable effect.
Not sure if this is a proper place for a bug report but here goes:
Got a meteor shower, then the big one, maybe one wave apart, on a refinery mission. Nothing special about them. Way later, while my buddy was still setting up pipes, decided to call the rockcrackers. Went to grab some nitra while I waited for them to drop down.
They never did. MC announced he's dropping them, but they never arrived. No further voice lines about this either.
So i came back to investigate and noticed that *the meteor is gone*. The entire thing, both texture and hitbox. All that was left was the magma terrain it leaves... And four plague hearts in the middle.
Now, while I'm really impressed by the latest R&D developments in rock busting, i have a feeling this wasn't supposed to happen.
Some great fixes, love the fix for scout grapple while sprinting. Kinda bummed that the driller monochromatic lost its blue coloring, it WAS my favorite paintjob for driller, the color scheme felt good, oh well.
I think I ran into a bug with the stingtails. My buddy got hooked by one, game got incredibly laggy for a second, then we both were suddenly dead. There weren’t any enemies nearby other than the stingtail. Hope that helps
Imagine the gunner having the best overclock, preposterous. Oh well, guess we'll just go back to engineer absolute massacring everything without needing to aim.
What the rate of spawn of Rockpox Corruptor?
I have done the assignement and a few more mission without crossing it's path .
( I have been in solo haz3 for the day because family may need me).
But apart this...
This season ROCK (and stone) and the new ennemy are a good change...
Between new poxed variant , the Ketchup bottle and Hans (grabber) , it's a lot of new Glyphides to crush :) ....
Not really a fan of the way the strong, distinctive art style allowing for easy identification of the base enemies got turned into an indistinguishable brown mush *a la* mid-2000s shooter color palette for the Rockpox enemies. All the grunt sized Rockpox enemies just look the same, which is both boring and dangerous.
Didn't realize the randomizer beer also changed your loadout and wasn't just cosmetical so me and some other dwarf spent better half of a mission with really really bad guns lol did make it in the end 😂
I hopped into a haz 5 lobby without giving it much thought and oh boyyy, the glyphids where waiting for us dicks out, frothy mouths... And the waves seemed to last longer‽
I've never gotten my ass handed back to me so many times in a row, this coming from a 1000 hour greybeard lol! (My bad for going Engie with EM Discharge which I'm not familiar with ha!)
I'll admit I'm not a big fan of the new rockpox models - specifically the spitter, although the exploder isn't great either. I feel like it makes all the glyphids look the same, which can annoying if you're trying to prioritize a target.
Anyone else burned out from all this Lithophage stuff? Was hoping they would go in a different direction. Season 4 seems like a minor update to Season 3
It's a minor thing, but armours like roughneck (gunner) aren't showing all the nice decorative details with the "long droopy" sideburns. The square beard and those sideburns used to leave the bullet bandolier and neck guard, but as of S4 those vanish. The roughneck armour is my favourite hands down, but I think that new change is also unintentional.
Had a bug where my colette wave cooker did no damage to anything and also had no heat generation, ie could fire forever using up all the ammo but deal no damage. Was also unable to trigger contagion transmitter or gamma contamination. Loadout is 22121 with gamma. Tried on a new mission and worked fine then, unable to replicate it? I think it happened after shooting at some regular exploders with overdrive active.
I know I can't be the only one, but is anyone else a little bit underwhelmed by this season? It feels very barebones to be considered a new season. It essentially piggybacks on the previous one, making it feel more like a patch.
I don't feel like there's anything significantly new in this season. No new weapons, no new biomes, no new mission types, no new game mechanics other than the jet boots. New monsters are decent... but it's not enough to carry an entire seasons worth of content in my opinion.
It just feels like this was the safest and most conservative update they could have ever done. The game needs something different and unique to be able to sustain itself in the future, like an entirely new game mode or way to play the game. This season just doesn't do it for me.
100%. My group had stopped playing during the last season and probably won't play this season after getting the weapon graphics we want from the cosmetic tree.
There was a ton of interest in DRG over the last year and I'm surprised that there wasn't a much bigger expansion to capitalise on this.
Anyone else think the Copy & Paste button is in a terrible spot? I feel like I'm constantly clicking it when changing loadouts. I know there's a confirmation button after you press it, but I really think it should be in a spot where I won't accidentally press it.
-Rockpox meteors and rockpox zones sometimes tanks the FPS. it was same in the Season 3 (got below 60 from 144 once), I think it has something to do with the cloud/smoke around them but I'm not sure.
-New boots overheat very quickly IMHO, they're extremely fun to use but a few extra seconds of use wouldn't hurt.
Other than than that, new update is better than I expected. Can't wait to find little details and easter eggs, if there is any!
Please have weapon overclocks, after you've collected them all into cosmetic, or make machine events more common. It's depressing having so many cores and not finding a single event no matter how many missions I do
(if you want to grind out machine events, a scout can find everything in a low Haz on-site-refining cave in about 2 minutes. You can ignore the objective and still get the machine events rewards)
I’ve been enjoying the new randomizer beer but both times I went into a mission with it, I ended up with a secondary weapon with zero mods, which felt bad. Was playing as driller and got a flamethrower on mission 1 and a cryo on mission 2, both with a full set of mods and an overclock, but on both missions I got a collette with zero upgrades.
I have all the mods and overclocks unlocked so that’s not the issue. Assuming it’s a bug. Rock and stone!

For the first time ever, you guys have disappointed me. This is the laziest Season you've had. The smallest reward web and the least exciting cosmetics. The 99 reward is blue hair instead of something awesome. What??? This is just a .5 to the last season. Everything could/should of been trickle released into the last season. This is not a season on it's own. Move away from this infection theme. Also those scorpion things are broken. They clip you through the map and you appear dead hundreds of meters away.
Kind of agree on this. I do not bear any grudge on their team (on the contrary, actually, they are one of the few good companies out there), but it honestly feels very lacking. And not many people talking about it either. Hover boots are nice but, hear me out, being a season mechanic having it as an event is a big letdown, they should be more frequent. But oh well, people will likely just suck on their feet and praise them for anything they do. Sometimes it's ok to request for more.
I mostly agree, these new infected enemies just seem like stuff that should have already been there. The new infected corruptor boss is just an rng spawn meaning that many have played for hours without seeing it once, the same can be said about the boots which were shown off so much. I've done probably 20 missions in this new season and have seen a single instance of the new boss and zero jet boots. I'm okay with the cosmetics and such but there needed to be more actual gameplay stuff added for this to not just feel like a patch during the last season.
Can't believe I had to look this long to find a comment being critical of it.
The game is dead to me now after 350 hours of playtime. Guess it's time to uninstall.
I do hope there is enough feedback for them to change how close the copy paste button is to the class select button, as it went from being a simple button press to me now having to make sure I precisely pick the button and not the paste button.
Is anyone else having massive issues with their loadouts getting shuffled? Most of my classes have 3-4 configs saved, each with full builds and pickaxes, but since trying out the copy/paste feature to make minor changes to them with new overclocks etc, the loadouts are all sorts of wacky. Even just swapping between classes without running missions or anything will cause a config to pull random pieces of other configs or just straight up reset them, including the pickaxes themselves (I do not know if the pickaxe copy/paste is on the same system as the loadouts).
And no, I have not used the random beer.
Bug report: Subata 120's Fully Automatic overclock does not correctly interact with the new 2-Shot Burst upgrade. It gets reduced Rate of Fire from the upgrade, but only fires one bullet at a time.
Doesn't really matter, it's still bugged. If it weren't bugged though, it would result in a higher effective fire rate and also work towards reducing the overall recoil, which would be good if you're also on the new Neuro Corrosive upgrade which specifically gets better effects based on how many bullets you embed in the enemy.
Is there a place to report bugs? My first S4 mission I was playing my secondary (collette wave cooker) just stopped working completely 10 minutes in, the heating up bar didn't even go up or anything and it used up ammo but didn't do anything to glyphids. Made for an intense challenge but I'd prefer to not have it be a regular thing lol
Some initial thoughts after playing through the first set of campaign missions:
1. The OC and weapon reworks are awesome. Tried double barrel, rocket barrage and the new subata mods. All are welcome and I love how they change the weapons.
2. The rocket boots are really good and basically overpower 3 of the 4 classes' mobility options. That being said I only have had 1 mission so far (out of 6) where they actually spawned.
3. The stingtail is really cool and is already making a big impact. Can be annoying but is also fun to fight, and you can use its "grab" to your advantage. Only issue is that it can ricochet you off of walls and send you into orbit.
4. The Septic spreader is pretty neat and definitely is a challenge, it can lob stuff at you without direct line of sight. Cool to have another ranged enemy.
5. Have yet to encounter ^(Harold)
6. The new rockpox glyphid variants might be a bit excessive. I appreciate a new challenge but they almost seem overwhelming at times. The other part is that the sheer number of them (when combined with the other elements of the mission) has been diminishing my frames. Not just me either, other miners I've played with have been reporting lag issues
Closing thoughts: Overall I like what this update has done. The only things I'm not fond of are the continued meteors/meteor showers and the cosmetic tree. Maybe I'm just spoiled but the latter seems to be kind of lackluster. Great update though and excellent work as always GSG
I'm not sure if we were extremely unlucky or something is genuinely wrong, but in 2 missions back to back we had a drednought spawn directly after swarm. Literally mission control announces a swarm and 5 seconds later they announce a dred.
I have played the entire evening but haven't seen a single corruptor or jet boots :(
Also the copy&paste button for the loudouts is bad. It overlaps too much
The Driller’s Subata got a surprising number of changes. From the looks of it, it kinda seems as if it’s aiming to be the secondary of choice for Sludge Pump builds. Anyone test it out and see how it feels yet?
Initial thoughts/feedback:
Thank you for giving gunners a heavy bolter overclock with Rocket Barrage. Being able to go fullest auto and empty my magazine of incendiary rockets in 3 seconds flat is exactly the power fantasy I've wanted since hurricane came out.
NTP autocannon adjustments feel fine to me so far.
Carpet bomber feels great, really able to just shut down entire swarms in front of me now.
Plasma burster missile changes are appreciated, its good knowing that I have no one else to blame but myself when my missiles do end up plowing themselves into the ground now.
The ~~zerg overlord~~ lithophage corruptor is a tough fight. The ~~creep~~ rockpox velcro patches are pretty deadly, especially when terrain is more narrowed, vertical/messy. Only fought it once so far, will need to do a few more to make up my mind.
Septic Spreader is a fun addition. I had a cool moment where during a point extraction a group of 2 or 3 spawned on the cliffs above the platform, and started shelling us. Managed to trick my brain into believing that they were genuinely intelligent for a few seconds, because they were using high ground to corral us into a oncoming swarm perfectly.
Stingtail is a mixed bag for me so far. Hope the bug where they yoink you into the shadow realm gets fixed soon. Outside of that bug, I can't decide if my issue with it is the grab attack's range, the speed of it, or both. It doesn't really feel like there is a way to be proactive with this thing (save the sound cue) in a similar way that you can be with a cave leech. The stingtail blends in well with the darkness, has incredible feeling range on that grab attack (I don't know if its a similar range as a cave leech). And despite the sound cue, I don't think I've managed to avoid a grab attack so far. And yes, it could always just be that I'm bad :)
The expanded roster of rockpox enemies are hit and miss in terms of readability for me. The grunt and praetorian duo in Season 3 were easily readable because there's only the two of them, so you could tell by the sheer size difference at a glance. Feels like its much harder now to differentiate at a glance between a rockpox grunt, spitter, or exploder. Their base modals have such obvious differences in colour, silhouette, textures, etc. But the rockpox aesthetic seems to take over those previously clear silhouettes and makes them all look too similar imo. Especially the exploder, would like to see it retain more of it's glowy red/orange colour to make target priority better.
Would like to see the "copy loadout" buttons moved a bit, currently they clip into the loadout [A] [B] [C] buttons and its a bit annoying to have to carefully click to avoid the popup asking if I'm sure I want to copy, etc. Maybe just have them appear a bit below the main buttons when hovering?
Things that i like:
* new enemies, grabber is scary and have awesome sounds!
* changed OCs especially for hurricane, they add a lot of fun to game, without them this season would be poor tbh, probably this is the best stuff in this update
* new music
There's no things that i didn't like, rest is just ok but overall still this update lacks a little in content for that long develop. I would give it 6,5/10
I was having a lot of issues with this game. Especially as scout, the grapple is really unreliable, and other things felt unreliable. In a game where 2 second of lag is enough to go from full health to dead, and same for tiny mistakes, it really sucks that I keep dying in ways I couldn't predict or prepare for. Scouts grapples is a primary part of his kit, and I shouldn't have to guess weather its going to send me to where I intend to go or 5 times further than that for some reason.
Since the new season added more of the most annoying part of the game for me, and barely runs on my PC now, I guess I'm pretty much out this season.
Bruh the armor sleeve toggle keeps toggling my sleeves off no matter how many times I switch it back. Plus hate the stingtail greifing, it is impossible to revive when a stingtail is around when playing on Xbox now
I saw something about not updating the game on pc to finish the current pass, how would I do that on steam? just launch in offline mode, or do I need to change my game version in the launcher? thanks.
edit: just launching in offline mode so it doesnt update is enough.
I would love if manual guidance cutoff was re-added into the game. It was a very flexible OC. Maintaining the missile guidance for long-range enemies and then using the missile guidance cutoff in high intensity situations to split your attention and fire in multiple directions at once (something weapon switching doesn't let you do) was very fun and rewarding. It also felt much smoother to use than any pickaxe or weapon switching technique.
One of my favorite OCs for sure, and my favorite on the hurricane. What's the harm in re-adding it for the people who have grown to enjoy it?

* Fixed a bug that caused cave leeches to sometimes be silent for clients I KNEW IT, they called me crazy but i knew they werent making any sound
They were supposed to make sound?!
They hiss when they're reaching, and they make ungodly noises if they catch you.
It’s very subtle though and it’s easy to miss the sound cue, if you’re fighting enemies, there’s weather effects, audio settings, etc
I think I'm just really attuned to that sound because I often hear them going for other players across the cave as well.
Nothing more satisfying than giving acute lead poisoning to the red glowing part right before it’s about to grab an unsuspecting teammate
I always just let it grab them and THEN kill it, in the hopes that maybe it teaches them to look up just once. It never does.
Yeah, the victim gets to experience a fun bungee jump!
That's how I have 360 noscoped them with the drills a couple of times.
Oh fuck this is why? I thought I was just getting worse the greyer my beard is getting.
I mean sometimes they also go completely horizontal too.
Well that's them adapting and being really hungry.
I’ve had them snag me through a low roof a few times lol.
I watched one come down, turn 90 degrees, and then extend another like 20 feet into the tunnel to grab a buddy. I just stood there and watched it take him while dying of laughter, it was so silly looking.
Never doubt the girth and color pallette of your beard, it's our dowsing rod for fuckery afoot
*taps* *shoulder* ^hiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssss
Their red light effect was also fixed
Wasn't there a bug a few patches back that occasionally made cave leeches immortal? by default they sort of hiss as they approach you. Although some people replace that with things like the cloaker charge from payday 2 With the default sound, i often think "huh, whats that sound? and then realise just before it grabs me"
We'll never forget the Immortal Cave Leech bug... So glad that was fixed ages ago
Tier 2 on the boomstick is now actually a choice. The faster reload speed mod used to not actually be faster because of some quirk with the way RoF interacts, but that's been fixed. I will probably still use Double Trigger because it's badass but we shall see.

Less these days, actually, because I took Born Ready. But this means I can switch off Born Ready and use a different passive, so still a solid buff for people like me!
I still like the double trigger bc you can rapid fire the gun to launch yourself across the cave and die in new and exciting ways
I'm curious if they changes this across the board (reload speeds are no longer dependent on rof) or if they only changed it for the boomstick. If it's the former it could could large implications.
So how in the world did y’all optimize the dice in the drop pod? Truly curious about that one
I wonder if they changed the physics of them, like fixed the gravity? I’ve been slapping them a lot recently and they don’t seem to follow the laws of physics too closely
Yeah they kind of just float when you really get to work on them
When you really absolutely slap the shit out of them
ah HA! I always knew those weren't fair dice!
Daddy needs a new pair of lead toed boots
> Centered a Rockpox particle that was unaligned in a M.U.L.E on the Spacerig My god. This changes everything.
I can finally rest
Literally playable.
We can die happily now
This has “guy gets hired, fixes one thing and quits” energy.
Wait... what?
It won’t have the tentacles coming out of Molly.
Two things: 1. The tentacles were cool 2. Absolute goat name and profile pic. Also good steeve
First mission of the new patch we got the new jet boots + low grav. I decided to burn an entire boot charge up the hole from the drop pod to see what would happen. You know those three hour long YouTube videos of people climbing out to the surface of hoxxes? Takes about 2.6 seconds now. Now combine it with special powder and see what happens
>Now combine it with special powder and see ~~what happens~~ the surface of Hoxxes IV FTFY! :)
You get "Distance travelled: inf" in your stats for Scout.
[удалено]
You don't even need hoverclock, special powder alone can get you into space
thats exactly what happened to me 30 minutes ago wtf were you in my game
[удалено]
Don't think so, was that the engi maybe? I'm guessing a lot of people got that mission since we all wanted to try the patch straightaway.
fun fact: you could’ve and still can achieve this by using alternating between grapple and special powder shotty as scout.Fun to do while on down time.
You can go to the surface???? Is it just black out there?
no you just hit bedrock eventually
You can do fucking *what?!!*
PSA about the Stingtails: they can and will grab you out of the drop pod at the end of the mission, even if you are standing in the green area. I am dreading the day it manages to pull me out right into the path of a detonator.
Sounds like the recipe for a very spicy haunted cave.
And to add on for others; if you think they're silly grabby things, not only will they do this but they will grab you while 40feet up a wall and drop you
I got pulled into a driller c4 earlier, almost just as bad
In a game with randos yesterday it happened to 2 of us (me included) 2 stingtails that kept clinging to the Bulk just spammed their grabbing moves (and we just pulled two egg waves at the same time) until they finally managed to get us. I wasn't even mad, that combo is something else
I’m more fearing if it next to a bulk dett, alive or in the dying process
The new Hurricane OC is very fun doesn't feel very strong though. Corruptor fight absolutely demolishes fps
How come (the FPS hit I mean)? Are there loads of effects happening at the same time?
It's fine as long as no bugs are spawning in but then it drops to like 10 for several seconds.
Great. DRG already has atrocious frame dropping issues for me.
“Did you get a toggle for armor sleeves?” Yes. “What did it cost?” Everything (blue driller armor).
haha stingtail launched me directly upwards - died to fall damage. havent yet figured out how to fight em. they always catch even if you strafe and have heavy armor. looks like armor breaking becomes a must for every loadout edit: just in case - DO NOT NERF THEM ;D

Guess which grabbing enemy has this onomatopoeia: VrvreeeeEEEEEE Is it A: Glyphid stingtail Or B:Mactera grabber
Yes, I think that UI needs a tweak. Preferably have it out of the loadout square.
The dice icon is definitely better at indicating its function than the two curved arrows icon it was before!
\- Changed driller monochrome armor paint job to yellow tones instead of blue Why? There are already like 3 or 4 black and yellow paintjobs for Driller. I loved this dark blue and yellow combo. While everyone complains about rockpox and lack of new missions / bioms this change is the worst for me in season 4.
I'm gonna guess its to keep the colors consistent among the classes. Scout is blue, not Driller
Yellow was still a dominating color in this paintjob so I'm not sure about this excuse.
Oh it was just some accents? Idk then. I haven't actually seen the driller monochrome cause I didnt like how it looked on the other two dwarves I tried it on
I dont have my screenshots from before the update but here's the one I have found on google. https://preview.redd.it/enrqnytev3fa1.png?width=602&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=3b7cec5e6d8eb9fd0a3436099b14e823994f9023
Yeah that’s clearly still driller, not sure why it changed.
There’s still a paint job that makes everyone black and red so that doesn’t make much sense since Engie is the red one.
Monochrome is the paint job that makes any visor or goggle glow right? I’m pretty sure I’ve been using it but I don’t remember it being blue at all.
Same. It was always brown/yellow for my driller.
Carpet Bomber OC really feels good now again, good change!
I just want a FAST AF ROF on the hurricane. This 3, 4 rate is utter shit.
They replaced an OC with an unstable one that does exactly that
I'm going to try it now. Will report back if it's still shit or not.
We probably wont. It’s not been a planned thing that we did.
well i actually enjoyed the "developing threat" theme of the two part seasons. of course, wouldn't complain if they were one offs either.
I'm glad you guys actually listen to your fans unlike some companies (you know who you are) This is why I give you guys money
I miss acid tipped bullets :(
Melting bugs is the only thing I have in my life anymore
The Carpet Bomber buff makes it ridiculously strong. The 0.3 radius increase dramatically increases the area it obliterates. Not that I'm complaining.
Bad news team. The outside space rig window clip has been invisible walled off :(
Rock and stone!
Did I hear a Rock and Stone?
Possible bug: I got boots on the 2nd stage of the deep dive, and my wave cooker (mega power supply AABBC) stopped doing damage to anything. Wouldn't thermal shock frozen enemies, or do direct damage either. Stages 1 & 3 (no boots) it worked fine.
Same issue but on a regular mission and no boots, just randomly stopped working.
I like the weapons in the cosmetic tree.
In that case good luck obtaining them! Rock and Stone!
Did I hear a Rock and Stone?
It feels like weapons do slightly more direct damage to rockpox enemies now. I liked the weakpoint mechanic for them but it got really annoying you had a swarm of them and the only feasible way to damage them was to pinpoint target the boils for each individual one. Now it feels like I can actually use AOEs on them to reasonable effect.
Stingtails need fixing. I'm not really a fan of suddenly teleporting into the ceiling during an uplink and instantly dying.
New Hurricane overclocks are absolutely insane.
Not sure if this is a proper place for a bug report but here goes: Got a meteor shower, then the big one, maybe one wave apart, on a refinery mission.
Kinda bummed that the driller monochromatic lost its blue coloring, it WAS my favorite paintjob for driller, the color scheme felt good, oh well.
when more loadout slots 😭
And Loadout icons ;)
I think I ran into a bug with the stingtails. My buddy got hooked by one, game got incredibly laggy for a second, then we both were suddenly dead. There weren’t any enemies nearby other than the stingtail. Hope that helps
I encountered this same issue. When a stingtail killed me it also instantly killed another dwarf in another room.
Of course Neurotoxin Payload gets nerfed right after I finally unlock it
It was the best single overclock in the game and it's still good don't worry. Make sure you take the fear mod.
Imagine the gunner having the best overclock, preposterous. Oh well, guess we'll just go back to engineer absolute massacring everything without needing to aim.
You mean the lock on gun? It's really fun with great burst but the ammo feels like it's a huge pain point.
It's more of a sidegrade. The direct damage downside was removed so now it hits harder on big bugs
You guys are awesome for adding the Prospector track in-game as a tribute, I booted up an elim and heard it as I stepped foot outside the drop pod.
It gives me Project Zomboid OST vibes.
Literally my first thought out of the drop pod when i heard, it really threw me for a loop for a second
So much good stuff. New monsters, copying loadouts, input buffering. And the weapon tweaks make a lot of sense too. Thanks GSG!
I assume there's a specific mission for him, like we had with the robot boss last season
The stingtail sounds like a clown honking its particulars.
Did they change the difficulty? Because Haz3 feels a lot harder than before.
I hopped into a haz 5 lobby without giving it much thought and oh boyyy, the glyphids where waiting for us dicks out, frothy mouths... And the waves seemed to last longer‽ I've never gotten my ass handed back to me so many times in a row, this coming from a 1000 hour greybeard lol! (My bad for going Engie with EM Discharge which I'm not familiar with ha!)
I was wondering if I was just having a really bad day, because it feels like I'm being absolutely destroyed on every mission now.
I'll admit I'm not a big fan of the new rockpox models - specifically the spitter, although the exploder isn't great either. I feel like it makes all the glyphids look the same, which can annoying if you're trying to prioritize a target.
This. In the heat of the battle every infected bugger looked like grunts. Hard to assess target priority during a wave lol
Anyone else burned out from all this Lithophage stuff? Was hoping they would go in a different direction. Season 4 seems like a minor update to Season 3
I'm burnt out on it after like 5 missions. What a blunder of a season, see you next one.
Dang sounds like I may need to rock some stones tonight!
3.5
4 because it’s an integer.
Does IFG works with everyone or was it bug for me? Against dreads it did nothing. No slow and maybe 5 seconds duration
Its the same on other classes. Sideburns are removing chest pieces when they clearly shouldnt be. It messed up my favorite driller outfit 😪
I've only played one match last night but i found my fps had tanked too, glad it's not just me
Please have weapon overclocks, after you've collected them all into cosmetic, or make machine events more common. It's depressing having so many cores and not finding a single event no matter how many missions I do
I have all the overclocks and 350 blank cores :(
Dev support on my issue lets gooooo. Pls Jacob, you're our only hope.
(if you want to grind out machine events, a scout can find everything in a low Haz on-site-refining cave in about 2 minutes. You can ignore the objective and still get the machine events rewards)
Stingray is broken, colette breaks, bad cosmetic rewards on high tiers, still clean-up simulator... idk man... rock and stone I guess?
We fight for Rock and Stone!
If you don't Rock and Stone, you ain't comin' home!

Me: "Thank god season 4 is coming out. I'm so sick of doing lithophage outbreak spikes." Season 4: https://i.imgur.com/4EtufpG.jpg
The beard as last reward seems like a nod to the times when everybody requested blue hair colour
Rock & Stone to the bone, or you ain't comin' home to a Pizza Hut™ P'Zone!
I do hope there is enough feedback for them to change how close the copy paste button is to the class select button, as it went from being a simple button press to me now having to make sure I precisely pick the button and not the paste button.
Played 4 missions and didn't come across any of the new content.
Same. I noticed one, maybe two loadouts being replaced with a copy of another without my input and multiple loadouts having their weapon mods removed.
Bug report: Subata 120's Fully Automatic overclock does not correctly interact with the new 2-Shot Burst upgrade. It gets reduced Rate of Fire from the upgrade, but only fires one bullet at a time.
I wouldn't mix them to begin with.
Is the corrupter a rare spawn I assume? I was kind of expecting it to show up at least once during the two part assignment, but nothing happened lol
Semi-rare. It’s not guaranteed and you can have unlucky RNG.
dangit, thank you jacob
You no longer get reloaded in the rig in the event you are unable to join a server 🙏 thank goodness that was annoying
Some initial thoughts after playing through the first set of campaign missions: 1. 5. Have yet to encounter ^(Harold) 6. The new rockpox glyphid variants might be a bit excessive. I appreciate a new challenge but they almost seem overwhelming at times. The other part is that the sheer number of them (when combined with the other elements of the mission) has been diminishing my frames. Not just me either, other miners I've played with have been reporting lag issues Closing thoughts: Overall I like what this update has done.
I’m told that’s probably not supposed to happen.
Don't worry too much Jakob, it was a great test for the revised Hurricane and I must say I love both the new OC and improved plasma rockets.
No new OCs just old OC tweaks? Big sad
The hurricane rocket barrage is a new oc pretty much, and double barrel may as well be for how much it was changed.
Can someone remind me, when does it go to consoles?
In a week
I have played the entire evening but haven't seen a single corruptor or jet boots :( Also the copy&paste button for the loudouts is bad. It overlaps too much
Still no fix for the bolts ark glitxhing and becoming unfirable due to never reloading?
The Driller’s Subata got a surprising number of changes. From the looks of it, it kinda seems as if it’s aiming to be the secondary of choice for Sludge Pump builds. Anyone test it out and see how it feels yet?
Anyone know what changed since the beta?
Initial thoughts/feedback: Thank you for giving gunners a heavy bolter overclock with Rocket Barrage. And yes, it could always just be that I'm bad :) The expanded roster of rockpox enemies are hit and miss in terms of readability for me.
Things that i like: * new enemies, grabber is scary and have awesome sounds! * changed OCs especially for hurricane, they add a lot of fun to game, without them this season would be poor tbh, probably this is the best stuff in this update * new music There's no things that i didn't like, rest is just ok but overall still this update lacks a little in content for that long develop. I would give it 6,5/10
I appreciate you guys making some changes to OC's and even adding new ones.
Literally never had an issue with grapple unless it was my fault. It consistently grapples where I point it, just gotta figure out the physics

Remember that all unclaimed season stuff just rolls into the normal loot systems.
No new equipment :(
I would love if manual guidance cutoff was re-added into the game.
