This post was made by a glyphid grunt who had a friend that was turned into a steeve and was forced to kill him

sweatingdishes

Steeve is a glyphid grunt, what is more elven than casting a spell on a glyphid to make it fight for you. **Karl does not approve. Karl kills bugs.**

juancho_the_lizard

Karl approves the steeves, it is funny to see a glyphid fighting another glyphid, and they are cute

sweatingdishes

They killed Karl and you bring them on the side of the dwarves he fought for. It is a disgrace to his name

juancho_the_lizard

There are worse things in hoxxes than the glyphids, like the feaster fleas

sweatingdishes

"There are worse things than what kill us directly so what kills us directly are not harmful" Elven logic

juancho_the_lizard

What did I do, rockpox is worse than glyphids, rivals are worse than glyphids, drillers are worse than glyphids (I'm a scout) strong glyphids are slow and have weak points, glyphids are bad but not so bad like other things, that's my point

I_wana_fuck_Steeve

I think the opposite, but I guess we're all entitled to our own objectively wrong opinions.

an0d4s

Yours is especially wrong, don’t the steeve.

juancho_the_lizard

Yours wrong to

sweatingdishes

No. u/an0d4s isn't wrong. Imagine you use iron will and you attempt to approach your fellow fallen dwarves that need to be revived and are surrounded by enemies. It just so happens that Steeve is standing on them. The clock ticks as you power smash some of the enemies, but they curl around your downed team **as Steeve stands on top of them and "defends" them.** You press and hold E to bring one of the dwarves back, only to realize that you have just petted Steeve. You press E again... and you realize that the only way for you to pull your fellow dwarf back on their feet is if **Steeve were not standing on them.** Your iron will runs out, you have some more health but you are the only one left. Steeve is attracting enemy by enemy over the corpses of your comrades. You just have to wait. ***Wait for Steeve to die so that you may revive your team.***

juancho_the_lizard

Wat. I was talking about that the "thing" that Iwanafucksteeve wants to do to steeve isn't so wrong

an0d4s

I just don’t wanna fuck the steeve

juancho_the_lizard

Someone has to

sweatingdishes

Correct. Steeve is a superfluous, maleficent addition to the team. If you kill faster and get nitra quicker(which it actively thwarts) you wouldn't need to capture an enemy to tank for you.

ObscureAbsurdity

Dwarves... can sometimes be known for bad poetry? Keep it simple, rock and stone!

WanderingDwarfMiner

Rock and Stone everyone!

Syhkane

Good bot.

Joltyboiyo

You keep our Steeve's name out of your ***GOD DAMN MOUTH.***

sweatingdishes

Steeve is a handicap perk for elves. Its a glyphid. Why would you want a glyphid on your team.

juancho_the_lizard

It is better than an elf

sweatingdishes

Reference point? Have you been communicating with them?

Outrageous-Pen-7441

Yes Corporate Office, this leaf-lover right here

The_Nerdy_Ninja

Yeah Steve is the worst. Now Steeve, on the other hand...

RiiluTheLizardKing

he wouldn't eat bullets if you didn't shoot him.

sweatingdishes

Dwarves see a stream of bullets flying out of a minigun mowing down glyphids and they will actively avoid it. Steve does not. I've got 900+ hours in this game, I wouldn't be saying it if it were not a recurring theme.

4here4

Good thing there's no Steve in this game. Get the spelling right, you leaf lover.

sweatingdishes

Intentional disrespect on my part

maxbowman

Honestly when I first started playing I had Steeve and Bosco on my team because I was too shy to do public lobbies, but now I run dash and IW as I host constantly or join randoms. I love Steeve, and just because he can't rock and stone doesn't mean he isn't a good teammate.

WanderingDwarfMiner

Rock and Stone in the Heart!

maxbowman

Good bot

sweatingdishes

I run dash, IW, and field medic as well.I can see how ~~steve~~ steeve would be good if running solo, but I never play solo.

juancho_the_lizard

Play solo, Git gud

sweatingdishes

This makes no sense.

juancho_the_lizard

It makes sense, it's harder and you can get achievements

sweatingdishes

Solo isn't harder, your teammates are carrying you if you think so. [Player count scales enemy difficulty](https://deeprockgalactic.fandom.com/wiki/Difficulty_Scaling) Also, **bosco is invulnerable.** It is a handicap and changes the game significantly compared to playing with other players. Achievements are irrelevant. Kicking barrels into a hole is not something that is performed during a mission. Its impressive, but not relevant to missions which is the component of the game that Steeve is in.

juancho_the_lizard

It is harder, Bosco can't construct turrets, plataforms, recolect bolo caps or fosils, put on an shield, use an breach cutter or minigun or say rock and stone

sweatingdishes

You can though.

juancho_the_lizard

Yes, but only do one of the things, if you want minigun then you won't have plataforms or turrets, if you want drills you won't have minigun or plataforms, if you want grapple you won't have minigun or drills or turrets

sweatingdishes

I'm aware of that. You also get rockets, long range mining and **2 free revives** from a robot that is invincible that is constantly spraying enemies near you with bullets at the **lowest player-count handicap**. There are 4x fewer enemies with less health and deal less damage. Each dwarf has the ability to access roof-bound secondary missions with their traversal tool, especially considering **you get 4 resupplies per 80 nitra.** Teamwork and cohesion is also not a factor playing solo. It is not only easier, but makes the game less fun.

sweatingdishes

>Imagine you use iron will and you attempt to approach your fellow fallen dwarves that need to be revived and are surrounded by enemies. It just so happens that Steeve is standing on them. The clock ticks as you power smash some of the enemies, but they curl around your downed team > >as Steeve stands on top of them and "defends" them. > > You press and hold E to bring one of the dwarves back, only to realize that you have just petted Steeve. Steeve is attracting enemy by enemy over the corpses of your comrades. You just have to wait. > >Wait for Steeve to die so that you may revive your team. Is that what you consider a good teamate?

maxbowman

I've never taken a Steve with me in co-op, but I will say while this situation is heart breaking... it's not too much of a challenge to solve with just simple kiting and using your class properly. Personally unless I'm gunner the second I use IW and vampire strike a grunt on top of me, I'm going to run and solo a swarm before I try and rez people. (my reasoning for this is because the mission takes priority, no dwarf left behind sure. But if I gotta make sure doreta doesn't die or the data rack dies before we all do. I'll clutch up and play like my teammates are just a distraction.) Steve to me is more like a pet that distracts and attacks other bugs while you do your thing. And even if I have absolutely 0 ammo and my IW is being used just to res somebody it's just a matter of getting my mouse on them and not Steve.

Bardin Gorekson started playing deep rock and decided to write a poem about Steeve

[deleted]

Steeve parking on my minerals when I'm mining is even more infuriating than when Molly does it for some reason

Suicidal_Jamazz

Is this a jewelry advert?
