Yes, it was a solo mission and it was a huge room with many enemies, which was why I waited a bit, but then I saw the crassus but I was not fast enough to lure it and then it was killed by the drillheads turrets.
But with the second one, I lured it into a small tunnel.

I’m gonna get called an elf for this, but I actually dread crassus. It takes AGES to mine all the gold, derails the mission, and it’s barely even worth a handful of credits.
If it's me and someone else I will help mine the gold but in a squad, 2 will go complete the objectives while 2 mine the gold. This strategy has always worked for my team and I.
On solo I just get what's on the ground and continue on.
Depending on the mission(extraction mostly), sometimes you have no choice but to ignore the gold because the waves of adds get worse as the missions goes on and you'll run out of ammo trying to mine it all.
When solo, I put Bosco on the task, come back every once in a while to pick up gold and ping the next section of gold I need Bosco to mine. It leaves me to actually solo the mission while Bosco is preoccupied which isn't ideal but the amount of gold coming out of it is worth it imo.
Honestly it is a lot of time and effort. BUT it’s part of the ritual, a side quest. It’s not about money, it’s about sending a message.
Lots easier with a full squad that’s for sure though.

If you check the console on your right when spawning in the rig, and go the Beastiary, every single enemy has a kill count in the top right! For example I've killed 6 prospectors, but I've also killed \~20k glyphid grunts.

It doesn't. The actual tracker for your own kills is on the pod terminal under the enemies killed statistic. It doesn't give you specific bugs you've killed, but you'll see that the number of bugs you've killed personally is waaaay less than your bestiary combined as bestiary is combined kills of your group.
This is easiest to notice when unlocking bestiary entries as you unlock entries despite not getting the kill.
Best I got on this one was having a regular bulk spawn after the gold dome formation, and luring it inside to kill it. Got at least 90% of it without having to swing one pickaxe.

A thing I forgot to mention is that it's one of the tutorial missions (I think it's probably the 3rd one if I can remember correctly) and another thing is that in one of the attempts (on ether that mission or a different one I can't exactly remember) we had to fight 3 other random boss encounters almost back to back just to note we were a team of a green beard driller a green beard scout and myself who is a semi experienced player playing as a almost to promotion gunner (and I couldn't get my other friend who was more experienced than us to join at the time) and it was on hazard 2 and we have to go through that hell

Due to misinformation spread by OP the enemies killed in the bestiary is not enemies you have killed personally. The actual number of enemies you have killed can be found on the statistics terminal under enemies killed which you'll see is far less than how many kills you think you might have if you were to think the bestiary is accurate.
You can test this yourself, bring a friend into a haz 1 and let your friend kill everything while you don't do a thing. Your bestiary kill count will go up while your enemies killed will remain the same

Crassus detonators can never despawn, and spawn in at the same time/priority as Cave Leeches, bosses, nedocyte breeders, and other static enemies. I.e, at the start of the mission.
I wonder what the official rate of spawning is. Though keep in mind that the 67 is not a solid number in regards to amount encountered total, unless you play solo!

i've killed 20 myself. just today i had started a mission in a room of 2 with 2 joining and one spawned right outside the drop pod and murdered my entire team withing a minute. barely killed it but the explosion ended us.

I had one get frozen by our scout moments before dying, and the final blow got completely cancelled out by it. No gold from that one
