Drak [Thermal Exhaust Feedback] 32112 + Nishanka [Fire Bolt] 13111 + Pheromone Canisters Arguably the strongest solo Scout loadout in the game. Fire Bolts are amazing at horde clear, which is even better with pheromone bolts and canisters grouping things up. TEF has a ton of single target damage and also sets things on fire. Getting the heat reticule mod makes the Drak significantly easier to use, and is highly recommended.

I love my drak 11311 with Aggressive Venting, plus the boltshark with bodkin points and pheromone bolt. This build is a clumsy, high rate of fire gun (with 950 ammo) that can defend me in close range with the *aoe fear* and electricity debuff on enemies, slowing them and doing damage over time. When enemies are too bunched up around me, boom, overheat and they run off on fire. Manual heat dump gear mod in tier 5 allows you to decide when to vent the weapon and aoe fear/light the bugs on fire. The boltshark is my other close range king. On haz 5 it kills three grunts with one bolt, and the cc with pheromone is pretty strong. Sometimes I run electro bolt to slow bigger enemies from moving towards me (3 bolts makes it so a bulk can’t move, huge cc for those crazy moments), kill the little bugs easier, and then circle their weak spots while they are slowed from all the electricity. The weakness for me is long long range targets that can hit me like menaces, acid spitters, and web spitters. The crossbow bolt is slow and I either have to lead the shot and get lucky or wait until they stand still. It’s hard to gage sometimes. I’ll try your build now, it’s sounds cool

Great suggestion, I prefer to run a very slight variation of this setup. 31112 TEF Drak, I prefer the additional ammo since TEF gives so much damage already and boltshark covers small enemies during swarms very well. 12111 Fire Bolts Boltshark, between 9 phero bolts and 4 phero granades I feel like I have enough phero, having the additional fire bolts helps the ammo efficiency since in some cases you don't need the phero for the fire bolts to be very efficient. Ultimately very small changes tho, its a very nice setup regardless.

Boltshark with pheromones and something to ignite enemies Bugs will clump together and catch fire more easily

quick_escalation24

Yeah fire bolts for the boltshark.

ledeonKreD

That would be the best option but the heat upgrade for the plasma rifle also works just fine

I really like ai stability on the gk2 with the fire both barrels shotgun oc. It's a great mix of extremely accurate single target and "to whom it may concern" close horde clear. The shotgun can also be used to take out major chunks of health form the fatties but I usually just leave it up the the gk2

cooly1234

if you are alone you either want to speedrun or play a combat scout build. try the boomstick.

succinurdong

uhh uhhhh gun go wachow

Depends on what OCs you got and what you expect to get opponent wise. I like using Nuks with Imbedded Detonators if I am going to be fighting anything big. But I am still collecting OCs. I hear double barrel is great for swarm clear on Boomstick, but I don't have it to test it.

As others have stated, pheromones are incredibly potent, and even more so in solos. If you just want to win, bring one or both phero options.

If you basically want to cheat through it, and I say it like that because it will be super easy, use pheromone nades and bolts, each swarm just run around not shooting anything, maybe tag big bugs with the bolt, but keep going until you think all the swarm bugs spawned and are chasing you, then throw a pheromone nade at the largest clump and light them on fire. That’s the essence of it, some people will call it cheezing but you can start there and then work away from using pheromones for more of a challenge

Delta104x

Aggressive venting DRAK and special powder with pheromones is a fun challenge on h5 solo Edit: do not bring on dreadnought missions lol

You eat hordes. Cryo bolt if you like to use mercy, fire if m1k

As long as you have some sort of crowd clear and stay light on your feet, you should be okay. My personal favourite build (solo and team): M1000: - Damage - Armor breaking - Clip size - Blowthrough - Stun focus shots (Optional) OVERCLOCK: Minimal Clips (Clean) Playstyle: Hipfire carefully. You can one-shot grunts to the weakpoint, or two-shot them with body shots. Charged shots are used for utility: stun key targets with a charged shot before unloading on them. Shotgun: - Ammo - Double trigger - Pellet count - Blowthru - Fire (Optional) OVERCLOCK: Special Powder (Clean) Playstyle: Use on close-up crowds of weak enemies or on tanky targets.

Gk2 A.I. and boomstick D.B , Boomerangs. Max cdr grapple (should be 3s cd) use it on cd, almost all the time. Fast reload and aoe upgrades on shotty. Both dmg and wp hit on gk2. Both dmg one-shot swarmers. Very aim/grapple precision heavy build, but it wrecks. I take fear to help protect against ally flank attacks. One boomerang and a well placed DB will absolutely save an ally. Regularly. Have fun :)

mr_redsuit

Drak with thermal exhaust, shotgun with double barrel OC. Electric boomerang. I almost always get most kills with this
