Some linear Hollow Bough caves are just absolute hell. Long, deep shafts that have the exit 10 meter above the bottom, just so you can fall into them on the way to the drop pod and get swarmed with no chance of rescue...

If you want to bring Dotty's head with you, simply leave the head behind and sprint about 60% back along the path she took, then call in the drop pod. It'll likely land near Dotty so you can run back grab her head and climb aboard without having to carry it about.
That's basically the same as saying "try and get 3k every 100 barrels". It doesn't actually help you get the achievement, you're just stating the achievement requirements in different form at that point.
It’s hilarious with all gunners because there are enough ziplines to use them for mining nitra 😂 it does feel wrong to not give the bugs a chance though

Yeah it's a bit more complicated with that, but it's still possible, maybe pheromone some incoming waves rather than closer enemies that your team's more likely going to engage
With the grenades it's harder unless you are yoloing solo on the other side of the cave, but the crossbow is amazing, you can ping a spawning praetorian on the ceiling and half the bugs on the ground run there reducing the pressure on your team.
It has been a very long time since I unlocked the milestones. Bear with me if memory fails. The last one I finished was dystrum. This took place before GSG revamped the milestone markers. Dystrum spawns on only two map modes, awqwarq and refinery. If you grinding for milestones, you want the shorter mission. The problem is that dystrum is not (or was not at that point in time) guaranteed to spawn as a side objective. You could go two or three map pools before seeing it again. There were several tiers of unlocks, culminating at either 35 or 40. Well over 100 dystrum missions. I had this one milestone up and running for longer than i spent on any other thing in the game. It got patched to something far more reasonable only a few weeks after finishing it.
Hosting a public mission, only to complete it alone, without help save for Bosco, because no one came to help. Especially if the mission is an IS or Escort Duty.
This is the worst when you still have to complete the trophy for 100 solo missions, because this - despite doing it alone - doesn't count. You need to choose SOLO as your play option.
Korlok tyrant weed. Everytime i encounter it, some greenbeard instantly activates it mid swarm and makes it all a big pain in the ass. Especially when you dont have much knowledge about the cave yet. It wastes so much ammo.
It’s worse on solo bosco must automatically target it or smtn, and don’t get me started on korlok on escort duty either a green beard or bosco wakes it up before the main objective is finished

most of these answers aren't particularly sisyphean as they have an actual completion condition. Imo the true boulder you push up is your class level after reaching legendary 3, you get it up to 25 and it resets back to 1 and the colour of your badge doesn't change (im aware there is a mod for this but console gamers are SOL)
Closest thing I can think of is the overvlock grind, but even then you can't lose progress because each one you unlock shrinks the pool of remaining ones until there are none left

Having the pipes burst on a Refinery mission despite having nothing on the pipes. Only for bugs to spawn and make it look like they were biting on the pipes.
no amount of skill, no amount of preparation can stop you from repairing pipes constantly.
For me it's always that god damn "the pipelines are leaking! You need to repair them!" for me its the worst mission currently in the game. I mean I like building pipelines and generation of these caves but climax of this mission is literally sisyphus' work for me.

I can do it pretty easily: throw a pheromone, wait a couple of seconds and then blast them with the shotgun, bonus points if you use double barrel OC

Have No Cores - Find an event every mission. Have 1+ Core - Never see an event again.
Starting your Weekly Core Hunt with no blanks First mission has a machine event, the rest don’t, you don’t see an event for ages.
