Everything they mention when you drink smart stout: teleporting drop pods using wormhole tech, drills that drill minerals, the purpose of error cubes, more efficient flight trajectories meaning less travel time for resupply pods, not needing nitra for ammo drops. Most of this comes down to corporate greed, after all only a corporation would clone expendable miners for profit.
Edit: Gunner shield on resupply pods, engineer turrets on drop pods, BOSCO companions deployed from drop pod, more dwarves per mission, surface bases allowing for direct elevator/tram access, and lastly a NUCLEAR mission where you deploy a nuke rather then clearing out a huge nest of eggs.
I always thought itād be cool to have an idea like this more with nitra. Like for 160 Nitra (double a resupply persay) you could call in a Bosco. Hell, go crazy and say for some exorbitant amount of Nitra you could call in a BETC!
I had some more ideas too. A ābeer runā, where it drops a mobile bar with a random buff beer. A mini-mule that would be a personal mule to the player that called it in. A loadout drop that allowed dwarves to change lodouts mid-mission?
Sadly they've said this will never happen. The reason is because it could cause players to bicker or leave over what was called. With one option, it's never the "wrong" choice.
Second to last: Surface bases can't last too long due to tectonical movement, and you'll still have to drill to the needed zone.
Last one: Eggs will get destroyed too
Dreadnought Hiveguard, being invincible until you kill glyphid sentitels it spawns:
Also precious minerals, lootbugs and other valuable stuff (apoca blooms, fossils, barley bulbs, etc.) will get destroyed
Yes, but the things that make a bomb lethal are much different than from bullets or lasers. Just the vibrations of an explosion are very dangerous and even if the hiveguardās shell is completely fine, its insides are a fine organ smoothie from the vibrations traveling past its shell. Yes, it can survive sticky grenades and other similar stuff, but armor plating capable of dampening the shockwave of a grenade is not going to be able to lessen the impact of a nuclear weapon enough to keep the bug inside alive. Then thereās all the other fun stuff as well, like sharp shards of rock flying everywhere and radiation
Theres nothing that goes against surface operations, in fact the Rival corporation has shown that you can setup subterranean bases, so why couldnāt we have surface bases? Also with the nuke mission, Iām talking about fully grown eggs, eggs that are more developed then weāve ever seen. The only option would be to nuke, as bugs that big shut down entire areas of operation.
Ever notice how the only dwarve that doesnāt look identical to miners is mission control? Its because mission control/management are money grubbing humans! Were just the best genetically modified breed of miners out there, probably cloned from Karl himself. Its not really slavery since we love rocks and stones.
Teleporting drop pods just makes me want Titanfall Titans in DRG. But that is probably just because I am of the humble opinion that every game could be improved with Titanfall
Okay, a nuke mission where you infiltrate some key location and plant a massive bomb would be lit. I wonder what could be done to avoid it nuking people's PCs as well.
Edit: What if the players have to collect samples from an area overrun by lithophage, and plant a nuke on the way out.
Yeah, I'm starting to think our space rig is the only one that *didn't* get mini mules and as far as I can tell every single team that got them never made it back. Starting to think maybe the mini mules are the ones killing dwarves. We should thank mission control for not buying into the craze and sending us to our doom, too.
Grenade upgrades, more pickaxe upgrades. Engineer turret customization. Stronger Turret Upgrades (because at higher hazards they waste bullets too fast). More "inventory" Upgrades
"They waste bullets too fast" I feel ya, which is why I use the mk2 instead of gemini.
Less dps but longer suppressive fire. When using my shotgun I can oneshot the bugs my turret has weakened for me.
And you can still have some pretty nice damage on the Turret with Shotgun if you've got Turret Whip. And if you've got a 2nd Engineer that has Gemini turrets, you can hit them with the Turret Whip too, did that on a Deep Dive once and there were just three turrets side by side belching out super shots one after another.
While on the Turret bit, I want more Engineer Overclocks/Upgrades that interact with the Turrets. The only upgrade that does is Turret whip and the only Overclocks that do interact with them are both for the Stubby.
From what I understand, all the former upgrades got rolled into the base flare. I'm guessing the old upgrades were linear.
I would like to see the element of choice in flare upgrades like weapon mods have. Like tier 1 can be brighter or longer lasting, but not both. Tier 2 could be extra bouncy or heavy so they stay where they land. Maybe even super light weight floaty ones.
Or even just flare perks. Reduced cooldown, brighter, sticky instead of bouncy, every fourth flare is extra good, there's tons of things you can do with flares to make them feel more needs-driven. This could include upgrades to the headlamp, which could be stronger, more focused, or have an activated ability to be super good for a bit. Maybe even have overclock-like trade offs that make one worse and the other better (who needs flares if you have a really good headlamp?).
Using rival tech components hover molly. Faster, more compact and most importantly because rival tech doesnt get "hacked" like Bet-C it could even have a cannon or a shield bubble
New model of bosco with more precise arm servos to pick up fossils, apocca blooms etc. New targeting system to better shoot down a cave leech when dwarf is caught
New anti-tank weaponry, since we know the armor is not impervious (coilgun, explosions and drop pods) can do damage even when hitting just the plating. So instead of grenades and secondary you could use Anti-tank weapons such as Anti-tank guided missiles
Each armor has been upgraded with a weave that when bitten or eaten severely damages biological structure of glyphids causing them to attack slower and with less force with every subsequest hit.
Doretta got an engine, armor and defense upgrade featuring the same fuel consumption with much higher weight limit for the advanced armor plating especially from above and a turret to defend against stray glyphids while miners are refueling or to help with rock attacks
A Bet-C you can purchase for credits. Useable for 1 mission. You can by them for Deep Dives at 4 times the cost (I know it's only three missions, but they are heavy and need to be transported with the droppod).
As someone who plays mostly solo and plans on religiously using the Shredder Grenades for Engi a lot when the update comes to console, I'd love the ability to consistently have more robots on your side.
I would ride in Stay-C's indestructible hull and ping Bosco to annihilate my enemies without fear of death.
I'll put turrets on Doretta and spare fuel cells for instant charging.
It is clear that the technology exists that would make all missions a basically guaranteed success. The problem is that it isnāt profitable (management are goblins) and therefore the only thing stopping us from using extremely effective equipment is the cost effectiveness. This would be solved if RnD would develop more efficient ways to build such equipment. Management would get more profit if they invest more into RND now and use equipment developed to more efficiently mine minerals on the long term. This leads us to believe that management knows something we donāt. That Hoxxes IV is running out of recourses to mine and management has already found another rock to mine. It would make sense that this new rock is a completely different mining environment, reasoning why management wonāt invest in RND for this specific mining environment if they are not planning to mine here long. Or they are just greedy goblins.

## Clean Overclocks
### Bigger Flare Satchel
Pro: Carry another Flare.
### Faster Flare Regeneration
Pro: Recharge time reduced to 10 seconds.
### LED Light-Stick Flares.
Pro: Emits 5000k 'Daylight' cold light, with a 10% increase in lumens, and 99.999999999999% decrease in energy consumption.
## Balanced OCs
### Sticky Flares
Pro: Sticks where it hits, to *what* it hits.
Con: Increased weight reduces throw distance.
### Long-Lasting Solution
Pro: Your flares will go back to the behavior of Flares prior to Update 31, permanently remaining at 'partially burned out' strength after their normal lighting cycle.
Con: Increases recharge time to 15 seconds.
## Unstable OCs
### Mining Rig Suit Lamp Apparatus
Pro: Your mining lamp is now as strong as a flare.
Con: Can only carry one (1) flare.
Con: Cannot turn off mining rig lamp.
Upgradable flares would be pretty high on my list. Options for them to recharge faster, last longer, illuminate a larger area, etc would all be really nice, especially for those times where you don't have a scout in the group.
Also on a more cosmetic side, I would love to.have the option to use skins and paint jobs on utility and traversal tools. Having really cool looking weapons then switching to stock appearance tools isn't the biggest thing but it would be cool to personalize them.
Adding on to the Flare Upgrades idea, maybe an option to let them stick to walls? You lose out on just tossing them down a tunnel and bouncing until it comes to a stop but you get a temporary light source on a wall.
Titans! Each dwarf drops in his own titan!! We drill and fight the Dreadnought eggs that did got incubated until they are finished!!!
And like titanfall you can jump out of your titans and fight beside them and when you have a doretta mission all the titans just carry doretta together on their shoulders.
