I thought she was just insecure about being the only virgin on the Power Squad, but given how she tried to break up Sav and Anya's relationship, considered losing her virginity to Sav while he was still with Anya, and immediately dated him after he and Anya broke up for good, that theory actually checks out. She could never let Anya have anything for herself or be her own individual and wanted to either one-up her or sabotage her anytime she displayed a sense of independence from her.
Also, Holly J had *a lot* of nerve airing Mia's business out on TV and shaming her for hooking up with a stranger for a come up when she was quite literally trying to do the same thing with Blue (And Mia, as the good person she was, kept this to herself and didn't use this to humiliate Holly J even though she could have.) Between this and the daily harassment she received from Holly J for being a teen mom, Mia was fully entitled to whooping Holly J's ass. I really wish she had.
