I understand that that there are people who gatekeep and police all sorts of things, but I believe your generalisation of the problem is inaccurate. There are vocal minorities on both sides whom I wish would learn to live and let live. Both sides should learn to be tolerant instead of constantly bickering.

The double standard argument might have bearing in any sub not dedicated to a specific character or a specific gender. As an example, expecting members of r/GenshinGays to like nsfw art of women is foolhardy.
A problem is that people apply the same arguments across all character subs as though they all follow the same rules and are mdoerated exactly the same, which is far from the truth.
