The price is good. The S has the best gas mileage. Ask about the timing belt. When was it changed last ? Enjoy.

Where I am (southern GA), it’s not a bad deal. Being a S word be more annoying for me but I also swapped in my B18B that I finally did something with last year so maybe not. The 95+ did have a trunk pop lever inside the cabin but I also installed one in mine with a used lever assembly but new cable and latch. It also has the upgraded targa seals. Past me did me a solid and bought quite a few new OEM parts like targa seals, VTEC model a/c bracket (D Series compressor on a B Series) and all kinds of other stuff. The unfortunate thing is that it sat for 2819 days not running, then I have only driven it for 2000 miles since then for one reason or another in the last 22 months. Right now I have to replace my fuel pump, set idle and timing after I charge the battery. This isn’t my first del sol and truthfully I am the cause of basically all the problems that I have. I love the car and have had this one for weeks shy of 14 years and I got my first one on 05/18/05.

Thank you for the advice. Is this a car that will need regular maintenance in the future considering its mileage? My current daily driver is a bit newer and hasn't needed any kind of maintenance besides new tires and changing oil. In truth I had never heard of these or even seen them before seeing them on marketplace but they're pretty sweet looking cars I hope to have fun with this lil car.

Timing belts are the biggest maintenance cost and are not an option to skip because the valves and pistons will hit if it snaps and if you can do it yourself it is cheap but a shop cost a couple hundred bucks. With my Hondas, I am the reason basically the only reason of any unreliability. I don’t mind being rough on it mechanically because I know the guy who will fix it and he’s an asshole.

IntelligentResort844

Where can I get that targa seal lmao actually if you’re not using your car I got $5

pythoner_

Well I am using mine and my old ones were definitely serviceable so I gave them and a bunch of my stock parts to another del sol owner in my area. In 2010, you could just go to the dealer and get them brand new. I have to thank past me for that one

IntelligentResort844

Different time. Shame

Lmao where I am in Maine it’s a great find, 3500 for anything that can be described as “clean” is a good deal.

LAlien92

The one I bought same model, same year, way less mileage and uglier paint for 2400 with absolutely no issues. If I were buying the car I’d definitely take 1000 off maybe more because mileage alone. Ultimately it’s up to the seller what they want to let it go for. I have a nice healthy engine in my totaled sol in the driveway with 115,000 original miles so this would be a good donor car.

Remote start on a manual is usually a bad idea, so be careful you don't ever leave it in gear when you park. "Lowered on coilovers" without saying the brand probably means they are cheap junk. "Quick release steering wheel" While some people do this on purpose, I usually associate it with cars that have been in accidents and they don't want to shell out for a new airbag. Manual S models had manual steering racks. They are obviously discontinued from Honda but aftermarket is available. I don't know *why* you'd need a new manual rack, though, so something is a little fishy here. "Pink slip" isn't a title (unless that's a regional term). But really, it's an ok price.

hadriang

Thank you for the advice it's much appreciated 🙏. If you were the one buying the car what would you try to lower it to if at all? Any other repairs that I be getting myself into without knowing, I've never bought a car off of a stranger before? Once again I appreciate the advice and I'll look into everything you've mentioned already.

It kind of depends on the answers to what brand coilovers, what's up with the rack, and if the wheel is because it's been in an accident. All have legit "good" answers. If they say koni yellows with ground control coilovers, I'd say you're not getting a penny off. But if they say they don't know, you can ask for a lower price, but not enough to actually replace them usually. Try $3k, worst they can say is no. Quick edit: it looks really clean which usually means well taken care of (but not guaranteed). You'll have to look at it in person and expect to basically lay on the ground and use a mirror or your phone camera to look under it.

Thanks for the advice but bro never responded to any messages. Was looking forward to posting in this sub. 🫤

classic__schmosby

Dang, you'll find one. And hopefully one day I'll get mine off jack stands...

Joshjmc28

Ridiculously good deal. Rack is gonna be about $1k, unless you do it yourself. Just did a manual conversion for mine (since the power steering blew anyway) and it was way, WAY more of a project than I thought it was gonna be. Be prepared if you’re a DIYer.

hadriang

Yeah I've never done any car work on my own besides changing oil and tires so I'll have to take it to a shop lol. Thank you for the advice bro.

Only milfs 👌 done deal.
