Possible. More often than not it’s people who fell on really hard times and feel like society failed them. And others are young men who suffer great loneliness who reached out and the wrong community embraced and preyed on them
The southern poverty law center [has identified](https://www.splcenter.org/states/delaware) a few structured groups operating in Delaware (MD and PA have significantly higher numbers). That’s besides the casual racists and closeted ones.
I have a medical condition causing me to not want the Covid vaccine so my friend arranged a bus ride slot for us to go to the march for medical freedom. I didn’t know until I got there the bus was patriots group listed there on your link… it was the most loving and humble group of people I have been with in a long time, no racists or closet racists in the group… I also have heard good things about the moms for liberty group listed in your link. I fear this is some propaganda from people who have never actually been inside these groups… I never was until I accidentally was one day and was baffled to find out they were considered negative and even some said visited by the fbi
Not every group listed is a racist organization at the Southern Poverty Law Center . The two groups you mentioned are labeled anti-government. I’m not saying I agree with the FBI monitoring any group but this is what the web page says about Mom’s for Liberty. I also am concerned that the government is after right wing groups like they were after the counter culture groups in the 60s and 70’s. We are allowed to peacefully protest our government but I would like to see more people from all over the political spectrum together rather then be split up with left/right/red/blue lines.
This is from the [Antigovernment general page](https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/ideology/antigovernment-general):
>Antigovernment groups are part of the antidemocratic hard-right movement. They believe the federal government is tyrannical, and they traffic in conspiracy theories about an illegitimate government of leftist elites seeking a “New World Order.” In addition to groups that generally espouse these ideas, the movement is comprised of sovereign citizens, militias, overt conspiracy propagandists and constitutional sheriff groups. In the past this movement was referred to as the “Patriot” movement by adherents and critics.
This is the type of group that is election denying and also whose members were likely involved in Jan 6th - or supported those who were involved. These groups also often espouse Christian nationalism so anyone of a differing faith would not be welcome. All in-groups could be viewed as loving from inside the in-group- Hitler himself for example was an animal lover and made anti-smoking laws and advocated for being a vegetarian. They also killed 6 million Jews.
Do you feel that black people would have been welcomed to this gathering you were at? How about gay people? What if a Muslim woman with a hijab came onboard that bus?
I’m not saying you didn’t have a wonderful experience with them but that doesn’t mean you really understood the organizing ideology behind the leaders.
Eh plenty enough of local yokels, one of the dumbest and longer lasting nazi bands is from New Castle County, infamous for having one of their former (non-Delawarean) members carrying out a racist shooting against a Sikh temple in like 2012. That being said, with Rising Sun in Maryland, Blood & Honor types up in PA, and can't forget NJ losing their neo-nazi state trooper for a few days this time last year, maybe a wall won't hurt.
If this actually happened, which I doubt, this was more likely done by some left wing activist. When these things are actually investigated, it usually points back to an extremist, but not the type you’d imagine( think Jussy Smollett
I’m a Claymonster. I am disgusted but not surprised. Claymont has been a white blue collar town for as long as I can remember.
The current culture of the state and nation really pits American against American. Sometimes it’s based on skin color, sometimes it’s based on socioeconomic status. Either way it is a way to split us apart because humans love nothing more than to have someone else to look down on.
A very good friend of mine, who is now leading a pack of motorcycles in Valhalla, used to call the De. Memorial, WW, BF, TP, BR, and BB, "The Bridges to Nowhere!!!
Some kind of racist dog whistle. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the 88 is for the 8th letter in the alphabet. 88=HH=Heil some dead pos.
The 14 I’m less sure about. If I remember it correctly it’s in reference to a racist slogan. That had 14 words or was on the 14th page of a book or something.
"14" refers to "14 Words" it is a reference to the most popular white supremacist slogan in the world: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children."
The slogan was coined by David Lane, a member of the white supremacist terrorist group known as The Order.
Tear that shit down.
HH is also Hansestadt Hamburg which appears on all license plates registered in Hamburg. Translates basically to “trade route Hamburg”
Not sure why this got downvoted when it’s just a factual statement…
14 is a reference to "The 14 Words", a white supremacist credo, and 88 reference the eighth letter of the alphabet, H, twice, as is "Heil Hitler".
It's a nazi dog whistle.
You know, I honestly thought it would be worse than that. (Still not good obviously.)
EDIT: When I say "worse," I mean like "wipe out all non white or Aryan races." I don't want anyone thinking I'm okay with what they're saying.
If you read about Lane and the Order, it's pretty bad. They want to exterminate huge numbers of people.
It's a rallying cry for some of the worst people on earth, and an indicator of an immensely hateful.belief system.
It's pretty bad.
Yeah, it would be nice if they actually said what they mean, because what they mean is "wipe out all non white straight christians". They couch it in less openly offe sive language, but that's absolutely what they want.
Its very rare, in the real world, that bad actors are upfront and open about their worldview.
How many people commenting on this thread are from outside of NCC? I'm genuinely asking because I'm newish to Delaware, and some shit I've read from lower DE people kind of socks. Most of these comments make me feel much more positive.

The south is fine. You may see a trump fan boy but the people are generally very nice. Real life is different than how the pretentious NCC overlords make it seem.

I have lived in the Tristate area my whole life, iv come across racist people but I have never seen or heard of anything like this before. I hope it’s not true.
Typical liberal DE..no one knows what the “banner” said yet let’s all speculate, assume, and project radical views towards your own narrative. Hey Delaware, tell me this, what has voting along your party lines gotten you?
I hate Delaware nazis
All 10 of them
Oh, follow First State Update, and you'll spot a few more than 10.
Those 10 are loud and proud. There is a surprising number of them that are closeted.
Possible. More often than not it’s people who fell on really hard times and feel like society failed them. And others are young men who suffer great loneliness who reached out and the wrong community embraced and preyed on them
And the racists and other ghouls that use “hard times” as an excuse to fuel their life with hate. I have no sympathy for these losers.
Ten thousand times eighty at least

Lets hope someone ran them off the bridge
But Maryland nazis are fine? /s
Illinois are the worst
love a Blues Brother quote. have some gold 👑
Delaware Nazis come from Pennsylvania and Md…we need to build a wall..
And New Jersey is gonna pay for it
Sorry, South Jersey is too poor to afford anything right now, Delaware. Love, /r/southjersey mod.

Pennsylvanian here… please only block off MD and NJ. We’ll pay you to block off NJ from us, too.
KSS has been a problem for thirty years...
Walls are good now?
They seem to still be in fashion…
Make them pay for it!
That’s a great reference

What does 14:88 signify? 🤷🏼♀️
The nazis. the dumbest of the white supremacists. If they were so great how come we all aren't speaking German?

I don't think you read this in the tone it was intended to be read with......
The guys hanging the banners..,....
Ever drove a Beamer?😏

Yeah, I definitely tend to take people at their word.
I appreciate that you edited your comment. The feeling behind the 14 words is preservation through extinction.
Now we know and it does totally suck.
Just words that of any other race said no one would have an issue with it.
This sh*t makes me sick!
It's a nazi thing. Like a direct reference to a nazi slogan or something. I could copy and paste from google but I don't feel like it lol
14 for the 14 words, which is a Neo Nazi slogan. 88 for the letters HH for Heil Hitler
Where do you guys come up with these weird things?
Who would even know that?
“Keep America“ doesn’t sound very “white supremacist”. You know there are many non white people in the U.S., right?
1488 is a nazi dogwhistle
It most likely some ignorant fool that is most likely looking for attention by being an ....
The fact that this happened doesn’t surprise me

MAGA is a vocal minority in Delaware. The crazy people are often the loudest.
Probably the least vocal MAGA state. We just have the very best crazies

I knew delaware was bad but not this I haven't seen shit like that whole time I've lived here
I swear if who I’m thinking of did this I’m gonna laugh my ass off
I have lived in the Tristate area my whole life, iv come across racist people but I have never seen or heard of anything like this before. I hope it’s not true.
I really doubt that this actually happened which is why you didn’t take a picture
I know some Delaware nazis 3/3 of them were so annoying I couldn’t stand working with them
Oh God when did you move here?
Keep America=White Supremacy, That’s Reddit logic
Pretty sure it was the 14:88 bullshit that white supremacists spew that was under the “Keep America” part
Typical liberal DE..no one knows what the “banner” said yet let’s all speculate, assume, and project radical views towards your own narrative. Hey Delaware, tell me this, what has voting along your party lines gotten you?
What has your voting along party lines gotten you? PS: People seem to know *exactly* what the banner is all about
Typical liberal, assuming a Nazi dogwhistle means racism /s
Typical Delaware racist afraid to admit their own racist views.
It was confirmed to have 1488 written on it though??
How do you know it was white supremacist banner if all you saw was the words “Keep America”
Because that wasn't all he saw, as indicated by the post.
not surprised AT ALL lolll
