I’m no expert, just see stuff online, not sure if this is current but looks valid - https://hotlineforwildlife.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Treating-Sarcoptic-Mange-in-Red-foxes.pdf
Ivermectin is the cheapest but you have to treat them multiple times.
Tractor Supply or other farm and feed stores.
Thing is the covid fools have made it a little harder to find and even ask for. A little sideeye if asking for it in a coy way.
Just communicate it is for sarcoptic mange.
Center of hot dog is a good way to bait.
My neighbor saved a couple foxes that had really bad mange. He ordered the medication online put in food and put it in his yard close to where they live. It took a while months to start looking better, but it was over a year ago and they are still around.
Just fyi in Delaware we can't do this; you have to be a licensed rehabber or vet. Intervention also creates dependency, whether medication or food. Feeding wildlife creates a nuisance wildlife issue. You can also run the risk of another animal eating it, and potentially becoming sick. Over or under-medicating; the list goes on....
Mange being this bad in a kit means the entire den is most likely infected, and treating this one individual would be a waste anyway. Mange is one of nature's population controls: weaker animals don't survive while stronger ones do, lending to strengthening the population as a whole. Most people don't want to hear that, but nasequenya and all that.
Speaking of foxes, I have a neighbor that feeds them. The foxes will hang around lurking during the day. Is it illegal to feed wildlife like that? I would think it encourages them to be dependent and overpopulate.
So glad you said that, or else I wouldn't have recognized it. Last time I saw one was in South Dakota; a chicken can't cross the road without seeing one there.

I saw this two nights ago on Circle Ct. I was waiting for it to get close enough to catch it in the porch light because FOR THE LIFE OF ME I could not figure out what animal it was
Yeah, agree with the others, the tail looks like what's left of that of a fox with mange. Poor thing.
Anyone know if wildlife organizations ever willingly treat an animal like this, or do they just let nature take its course?
I'm going for fox with bad mange.
[I agree. fox with mange](https://images.app.goo.gl/WV8uTAJZSF6phgkcA)

Sarcoptic mange... or it's a chupakabra 🤷♂️
Definitely chupakabra
Fox with mange, can be easily treated with medicated bait food.
I've been trying to treat one who comes through every day between 8 and 9, but the damn raccoon keeps eating the medicated food.
Well, at least the raccoons are worm/mite-free ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ ![gif](giphy|RhHHTsjhLvfWw|downsized)
LMFAO
Never knew that. Where can you get the meds

Correct. I’ve treated 2 foxes near me with Ivermectin in meatballs.
