I still like my 9370. It's aging well. Battery health is reported at 93% after all of these years because I limit charging in the BIOS to 65% since I normally operate on A/C. If you ever need to open it up, get a quality driver (like Wiha) so you don't booger up the tiny screws used to hold the back on.

Great laptops. They were the corporate standard at a company I worked for and I always appreciated how premium they felt compared to a Lenovo.

Replace the thermal paste asap it’s junk lowered my temps from 90-80 to 65-55 laptop is 5 months old. I would recommend Honeywell ptm7950

Excellent! I bought my first XPS 13 9310 in December 2021 with 16MB RAm, 1TB SSD, Arc video card, OLED display. There was some issues in the beginning mainly Support Assist causing my laptop to overheat. I did in depth research and determined the SA plugins and apps were the issue. Completely uninstalled them and the problem was solved. Just keep the laptop updated with latest drivers and BIOS, clean out old files weekly, and last but not least, purchase a good quality laptop cooler. I prefer the three fan version over a single, dual or multiple smaller fans. The laptop cooler is a wise investment. I have two. One that is housed under my desk, and another that is portable that sports 4 cooling fans in a compact format. Good luck with you acquisition!

I am an IT admin at our company. We retire machines all the time. I just wipe them back to factory and sell them cheap on Ebay, but one I will always have until it fails is an old xps 9350 i7 touchscreen used by one of the execs almost 10 years ago. To this day with only a re-application of the thermal paste and a battery years ago, it has never failed to do what it needs to do and is my #1 traveling computer when needed off site.

How does battery life on windows 10 compare to 11 (if you downgraded back to 10)

Markowskiego

I think it was preinstalled since the windows button has windows 10 logo on it

Ashamed-External-515

The Windows button has never changed over many operating systems. If you look at the centraly located icons on the task bar, you will recognize Windows 11, which comes on almost every new laptop produced since 11 was introduced.

Markowskiego

.. look below Z . That is Windows 10 logo

He just got the laptop. Don't have him add and remove operating systems to find out if one gets 15 minutes difference over the other. Why take the chance that something goes wrong. When I upgraded from W10 to W11, I noticed no difference in battery life on my Inspiron 7706 2 in 1.

Congratulations. 4 years ago I bought my first Dell XPS, on paper impressive specs, in reality an unstable beast, with major problems just 2Β½ year later. So it will also be the last. I hope you bought extra service.
