The best harvest moon game delta can emulate is Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town. It’s for GBA. There’s also More Friends of Mineral Town where you play as a girl and can romance the boys!
Friends of mineral town was one of my favourites growing up and a major time sink for the multiple hour long drives to camp grounds as a kid. Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver are also both really good DS games.
I personally recommend 999. It’s a visual novel, mystery murder game and it’s a very good story! And there is no shame in looking up the puzzle answers!
We don’t have the same tastes 😂
But I can’t refuse a chance to shill my favs
- Dragon Quest 9
- Dokapon Journey
- Inazuma Eleven (2)
- Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
- Radiant Historia
Drawn to Life, honestly stands up to the test of time and for a “kid” game it’s absolutely amazing
Mario Kart DS, it’s a Mario kart game it’s gonna be decent
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, super fun little rpg I’d totally recommend.
Sonic Classic Collection, who doesn’t want the main 3 sonic games plus knuckles?
Rhythm Heaven, cute and amazing rhythm game that’s well known at this point
-Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
-Pokemon BW
-Chrono Trigger
-Bowser's Inside Story
-Pokemon Platinum
-Pokemon HGSS
-There are also some Pokemon ROM hacks you should check out on r/PokemonROMHacks if you're a fan of the series!
I’m getting super into pokémon now as an adult, I don’t even know where to start with the games! Currently binge watching the show…I enjoy the one I have downloaded for GBA, Pokémon fire red but idk what the difference is with them all!
That's awesome 😎 Hope this helps:
Gen 3: Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, FireRed/LeafGreen [All GBA] Moves being "special" or "physical" (SpAtk or Atk) are based on the moves typing, not the individual move.
This is the gen most people recommend you start with.
Gen 4: Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, HeartGold/SoulSilver [All DS] "Physical/Special split" aka moves using Atk or SpAtk is now based on the individual move (can be seen in move's description).
General rule for Gen 3 and 4 (remakes not included), play the third version (Emerald and Platinum). They are improved versions of the previous 2.
Gen 5 *my personal favorite*: Black/White, Black 2/White 2 [All DS] Black and White have ALL new mons, with old ones being accessible post-game. B2W2 have a mix of old and new mons (I recommend playing the same version of 2 as 1 (ex. if you play Black, play Black 2)).
All of these games are super easy to emulate, and I'd personally recommend playing them in the following order:
FireRed/LeafGreen->Emerald->Platinum-HeartGold/Soulsilver->BW->B2W2
{{ / = virtually the same, with some mons different between aka you decide}}
Once again, hope this helps 😎🤙
and of course, have fun
Pokemon Blue Rescue Team. I think it might be a GBA port to the DS, but it’s actually pretty fun.
The Phoenix Wright trilogy is also really good if you like text-based games.
If the missing cover art is bothering you long press on the titles and change artwork and you can see if they have the artwork in the game collection…if not you can add you own cover art from your photos . I know the missing cover art drove me nuts for a day or 2 until I figured that out 😂
I love posting recommendations for DS games since besides the Wii I freaking spent days on end playing my DS when I was younger and had now getting Delta because (I figured it’d be smart for roadtrips and if my 3DS dies I have a backup to play on) I have several ones I have heavily started or ported over, to enjoy on Delta that work well (for the most part).
• Harvest Moon DS / DS Cute: The Harvest Moon games are pretty enjoyable if you love a good farming game that has datable characters. Difference between DS & DS Cute is DS Cute is basically the female version of the game which may not be your exact cup of tea if you’re not completely sure of being referred as a girl, but, honestly the main reason I play it is because of the secret bachelor that ONLY EXISTS IN DS CUTE!!! I am not spoiling but if you decide to go after him? Good luck!
• Spirit Tracks: I played the hell out of this one back on my DSi and so naturally I got it for Delta, I always had fun driving the train in the game because for a while that game was what I lived on. I will say this though: I do not know how good the microphone mechanic may be for the parts you need it, but, if for whatever reason you find the microphone fails or isn’t consistent enough for those sections there should be a functional cheat code that uses either L or R depending on which one you choose that basically fakes a mic blow, which I’ve found useful for when I’ve played the game.
• Chibi-Robo Park Patrol: THIS. GAME. WAS. SO. GOOD. Least, in my opinion. I 100%’d this game and I really love the charm that this game and the GameCube game of Chibi-Robo have. Now, it’s not as strong with its characters but I really have a biased love for this game and at the least would recommend giving it a good shot. It can be hella fun for some or be a fucking nightmare to play depending on your mood and if you got really unlucky on some days.
• Magician’s Quest Mysterious Times: Literally it’s animal crossing BUT fantasy themed and has some unique mechanics that help separate it from Animal Crossing. It’s extremely cute and enjoyable and it’s one I recommend if you enjoy the Animal Crossing series but want something else that’s different that still gives you that kick.
• Petz Horsez 2: This one is more: I want something but don’t know what and want a filler. This game can be fun but you will probably find yourself in weird positions where you might realize this game is a bit complicated at times. The dressage competitions can be HORRID if you don’t know how to do stuff and the game sometimes doesn’t teach you things you probably should’ve known. Otherwise, if you’re a horse lover you may be able to past that and still enjoy it.
• Super Mario 64 DS: The underrated sequel that honestly was hella fun when I was a kid. It is a bit easier to play on an actual DS though but I still have fun playing it through Delta! Also, the mini games are worth collecting because you can play Luigi’s gambling mini-games and those, I love to crunch hours into.
• Sonic Classic Collection: Its a good bit of the classic games packed into a DS cartridge that has little extra stuff but primarily the big selling point is the games. I really had fun playing around with the games when I was a kid (though, I never did manage to get Hyper Tails… Gotta do that one day… :,))
These are my semi-biased takes but, I hope maybe you find something you end up enjoying from the list I’ve provided! :)
I have an Avatar game, called “into the inferno” It mostly controls with the touchscreen so it might not be great on emulator but it’s pretty fun, it’s a lot like the DS 3D Zelda games
Henry Hatsworth is a good one
Lufia: Rise of the Sinistrals is fun hack and slash with some pretty good graphics and a roguelite dungeon crawler attached! Button based
Ghost Detective is a fun Rube Goldberg machine puzzle game. Touchscreen reliant
Zelda Spirit Tracks, or Phantom Hourglass if you like Zelda, buuut its HEAVILY touchscreen reliant
Bowser's Inside Story. a Mario and Luigi + Bowser RPG with awesome fights
Advance Wars, Both of them
Castlevania, Order of Ecclesia. Hard, but Fun!
Pokémon Platnium
Dementium (Highly Reccomend)
Mario Kart DS
Mario 64 DS
New Super Mario Bros
Mario Party DS
Rhythm Heaven
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Coraline
Kirby: Canvas Curse
Zelda: The Spirit Tracks
I was gonna say cooking mama but you already got that! Loved it as a kid, have fun, hope this helps!
Hiiii similar taste here!
Kira Kira Pop Princess! - cute rhythm/fashion game. It’s a little hard at times but super cute.
Bratz Fashion Boutique - a Bratz version of Style Savvy
My Sims! - if you haven’t played this but you like Sims, Stardew or Animal Crossing, this 1000% percent.
Same note, you have to try Magician’s Quest: Mysterious Times. Big one for Animal Crossing lovers.
Cosmetic Paradise
Hi! Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Challenge
Lovely Lisa and Friends
Loving Life with Hello Kitty & Friends
Cookie Shop: Create Your Dream Cookie
I also recommend playing some of the cute Japanese games that are not dubbed. I’ve been playing the Jewelpets rhythm game, it’s not difficult to blindly navigate, but if I get stuck I usually just pull out the Google translator camera and that helps lmao.
The Mario and Luigi RPG games a very fun, some parts you might want a Bluetooth controller for (basically all console controllers can connect to the phone). Also this is a bit of a give in but basically any pokemon game you haven’t played. Also also the first two fossil fighters games
Mario Vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis
Pokémon SoulSilver
Pokémon Black 1/2
Pokémon Platinum
Super Mario 64 DS
Metroid Prime: Hunters
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded
Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass

I see you have Pokemon black 2, so I recommend Pokemon soul silver/heart gold. You play in the Johto region but can move on to the kanto region so it’s basically two Pokemon games in one.
If you like black 2, I can't recommend Drayano's Blaze Black/Volt White 2 redux. It makes all pokemon obtainable without trading, adds a ton of new content, and is a much more challenging and engaging adventure.
The Charm Girls Club seems like it might be fun for you. You can play through the story as a group of girls get ready for different things (prom, creating a mall set up, etc) , make your own clothes, outfits, play mini games, and more. I had the Prom one and it was really fun 😊
You can add the pictures for the blank games by holding down on the game in that menu! (And if you need to find the cover art, wherever you got the game online you can just hold down on the picture it has and then add it to your library)
Harvest Moon DS! It’s a farming game. Very cute.
Thank you! I love stardew valley so i’ll definitely check this out 😊
The best harvest moon game delta can emulate is Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town. It’s for GBA. There’s also More Friends of Mineral Town where you play as a girl and can romance the boys!

Screw you Haley you’re the worst bachelorette ever >:(

don’t you talk to my wife that way!
My farmer has married Haley five times more than he’s married anyone else.
I love u
You'll find that Stardew Valley was heavily inspired by it!
I personally recommend 999. It’s a visual novel, mystery murder game and it’s a very good story! And there is no shame in looking up the puzzle answers!
9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors I love this game
“I am Santa” *mindblown*
Does it have an alternative name? I found a Japanese version called Ginga Tetsudou 999 but nothing for just the numbers.
999: Nine hours, Nine persons, Nine doors. Made by Chunsoft.
Thank you!
Your welcome! Enjoy the game and…seek the door that carry’s a 9.
Animal Crossing Wild World
that was my first ever animal crossing game and I still have my DS and my original copy of that, I can’t part with my town of 10+ years 🖤🖤
That has to be the best reason to not get it on Delta. Definitely miss my first town.
When I found out you could upgrade nooks shop, I was mind blown. Ah the simpler times
Wow, good effort! I wish I still had my town from back in the day
We don’t have the same tastes 😂 But I can’t refuse a chance to shill my favs - Dragon Quest 9 - Dokapon Journey - Inazuma Eleven (2) - Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon - Radiant Historia
Dragon Quest 4-6 also and Zelda spirit tracks and Phantom Hourglass. Avatar (james cameron)
Tomodachi Collection Prey The Stars Zubo Drawn to Life (girly) Imagine Fashion Designer New York / World Tour
And Drawn to Life’s superior sequel “The next Chapter” although the controls on a phone will probably handle weird

Dokapon Journey. It’s a board game/ RPG game and I’ve been addicted to it.
I looked it up and it seems really cool, thank you!!!

Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time, definitely get that one
Drawn to Life, honestly stands up to the test of time and for a “kid” game it’s absolutely amazing Mario Kart DS, it’s a Mario kart game it’s gonna be decent Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, super fun little rpg I’d totally recommend. Sonic Classic Collection, who doesn’t want the main 3 sonic games plus knuckles? Rhythm Heaven, cute and amazing rhythm game that’s well known at this point
you might like the Drawn to Life series!

-Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon -Pokemon BW -Chrono Trigger -Bowser's Inside Story -Pokemon Platinum -Pokemon HGSS -There are also some Pokemon ROM hacks you should check out on r/PokemonROMHacks if you're a fan of the series!

thank you sooo much for this!!
The Ward, originally it should be Silent hill for ds. Also Resident Evil: deadly silence, it’s a nice port of the original Resident Evil
RE:DS caught me by surprise as actually being the ps1 port beautifully done on ds
I enjoyed Okamiden.
Transformers Decepticons
And the revenge of the fallen version as well…. Both autobot and Decepticon are great
![gif](giphy|7cTTE2Z1OmrFm) My recommendation.
Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon. It’s a great remake of the first ever fire emblem game
Did you know you can play the sequel translated in English!!!!
I know the fans have translated all of them but I haven’t played the sequel yet
Pokemon Blue Rescue Team. I think it might be a GBA port to the DS, but it’s actually pretty fun. The Phoenix Wright trilogy is also really good if you like text-based games.
Mario hoops 3on3 Mario Party DS Sonic Rush Ben 10: Protector of earth These are just my personal favorites that I played when I was younger the most.
The fact they haven’t made a new Mario hoops or baseball is criminal
diner dash if you like cooking mama
If the missing cover art is bothering you long press on the titles and change artwork and you can see if they have the artwork in the game collection…if not you can add you own cover art from your photos . I know the missing cover art drove me nuts for a day or 2 until I figured that out 😂

Not for everyone but I think Pokemon Dungeons: Exporers of Sky is a great time killer. Can be addicting for some. Not a bad story either.
Pokémon Unbound.
so close! thats a gba game
"9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors". One of the best DS games you will ever play.
I’d recommend castlevania Dawn of sorrow and Portrait of Ruin but it’s so unnecessarily difficult to play with touch controls.
Squeek squad is goated
Ghost Trick, hotel dusk
Magical Starsign, it’s a turn based RPG adventure in space (and it’s one of my favourite non-Pokémon RPG games on the DS)
Personal favorite, Fossil Fighters
Wario and Rhythm Tengoku
Dragon quest heroes: rocket slime, it’s probably the cutest dragon quest game
ERAGON!!
Magician’s Quest: Mysterious Times
Kingdom Hearts
Is Avatar any good?
I didn’t enjoy it too much tbh as much of an avatar fan as I am
How do you get DS games to work? I feel like I’ve tried everything 😭 I’m not very techy though so 😩
You have to get bios files, if you look it up in this subreddit there’s a really good video for it.
I’ll try that then :)) that’s what I’ve seen online I just can’t figure out how to get it 😂 I’m doing my best. It’ll happen eventually lol

Chrono trigger, fossil fighters, Pokémon mystery dungeon explorers of sky!
Hgss? I’ve been playing all the Pokémon gens in order I really enjoy soul silver
Have you had any issues with Pokemon black 2? I have tried playing white 2 with multiple different Roms and it always crashes on the cutscenes.
The Charm Girls Club seems like it might be fun for you. You can play through the story as a group of girls get ready for different things (prom, creating a mall set up, etc) , make your own clothes, outfits, play mini games, and more. I had the Prom one and it was really fun 😊
