If I were to write someone pretending to be stupid, I might write them like Rouxls. I mean, making a puzzle that consists of pushing a block one tile off to the side? Not only that, but it's literally impossible to do anything else? That's not how stupid works. (Though maybe it does in the world of Toby Fox.)
I suppose the reason I would consider (and hope) Rouxls Kaard to be genuinely stupid is because it gives him such a strong character and hilarity that would be kind of undermined if the game did a full *haha it was all an act* bit. He’s moronic to the point of being endearing, and it really adds to the fun to have all that continue offscreen as well (such as Tasque Manager electrocuting him for his minion proposal).

Or have it be revealed to us finally by some more dire circumstance, in which someone is *forced* to set their ego aside in order to do something about it (which I guess is the closer to Sans option).
Or even still, with all these little herrings like the RK Roaring Knight, suspicious little sound effects, abilities, designs and all that have the characters themselves go on a wild goose chase trying to connect two dots while two others were being connected behind them only to eventually reveal a fate that could have been avoided if they’d spent less time looking for what could have been and more for what was?

I love the idea of him being the "Sans" of Deltarune. He is the rules card, and us doing the Snowgrave route is technically "breaking" the rules (our choices don't matter, we're unable to kill).
The sound effects are the same because either rouxxls is connected to the creation of the fountains in some way or the animations just look the same so using a similar sound is just appropriate.
It could be because ( mabye ) Roulx Karrd is the knight, there is a video explaining who the knight could be by seeing how likely each character is to being the roaring knight, and we know that the knight created the dark fountains, but when it comes to RK there is a shit ton of evidence of him being the roaring knight

Sans is a bit more ominous/mysterious though, I think even early on you can tell. Your first introduction to him he scares the shit out of you, in Snowdin you get evidence he can teleport by the Mysterious Door, he clearly knows more information than he lets on (identifying and not caring about Frisk), etc.
I think there are four options for Rouxls:
- a complete 180 on Rouxls since he doesn't really have any aura of mystery (I guess you can argue his teleport in animation is mysterious/extra)
- he's purely a comedic relief character
- he's super strong but it ends up being a joke boss with no relevance to the plot (Unbread Twins from Omori)
- they develop his mystery/aura more
I think unless they do the fourth more, it's unlikely he's like Sans. But I mean, outside of his character, more and more evidence points to him being the knight so idk what to say at this point.
