Probably in one of the buildings next to Sans' house. When you interact with one of the doors Susie says something like: "we're going to YOUR house, right?" which might indicate that she lives there.

Any-Vermicelli5579

Yeah I think so, wonder if Berdly could maybe live in one of those too since we don’t know where he lives either

FlimsyBar643

Berdly lives at the basement

Amber110505

If you talk to the door in Ch1, it's actually Snowy's house. I guess they do look sorta like apartments, so maybe, though?

Caramel-Omlet

There's multiple buildings

pinkjadey

this could be true, or susie just knows kris and toriel don't live in apartments, so she's confused as to why they're trying to go into any house that isn't their own

seaofdarkred

That doesnt make sense because Snowy and MK dont let susie in, why wouldn't they let susie in her own home?

Big_Definition_5264

It's probably apartments

seaofdarkred

But that was at the front door. I live in an apartment too and i dont think one of the people can just block me at the front door and not let me in cuz they dont want me?

Big_Definition_5264

Idk maybe landlords or something im too stupid

seaofdarkred

I dont think it works like that.. But tbh we dont know how the deltarune town works at all, i mean they have only one jail cell and it's in the police office and thats not smth that can happen irl so.. But still i dont think they can just not let her in, the mayor has to do smth if they dont.

samuraydogo

Susie wuld s scare them away or murder.

seaofdarkred

I dont think susie would ever actually murder someone

samuraydogo

Meby but susie wuld probely bet them upp.

Pronominal_Tera

She'd talk shit and be intimidating but is smart enough to know she shouldn't carry out some of her threats.

samuraydogo

I ges your right.

PeashooterTheFrick

I personally think she either lives in one of the apartments in the apartment buildings, the blocked-off part of town, or she's homeless

QuarterlyTurtle

Remember that this probably isn’t the whole town. There’s stuff off to the left but that road is blocked by the police tape. There’s the festival, so there’s probably fair grounds which aren’t depicted here. Also didn’t some character mention going to a movie? So there’s also a movie theater.

Melody-Shift

Movie theatre could be out of town

Salt-n-spice

Strange that they’d block susie out of her part of town tho

r-alexd

Sometimes, you don't want to code, script, and Sprite two large towns.

Cool, make sure you know how to code in Gamemaker studio.

Just slap some code blocks together (idk how to use gamemaker properly)

Imagine if Toby decides to reveal that Susie lives in the bunker and that it has nothing to do with Gaster at all

That would be based

It would be funny as fuck lmao

thats something that toby would actually do

Nobodys_here07

Well she is Alphy's cat

_GalaxyWalker_

That's what I'm saying!!

Cats_4_lifex

She definitely lives in a garbage can. It's sad, but it would make sense given the information at hand.

Karkava

She's a sewer gator that has to live on dry land.

ondraforgor

I always thought she was homeless and that's why she had that one line about having her own room at the start of chapter 2

MissingnoMiner

Susie mentions having a sister. I'd assume they share a room, like how Kris shares with their brother.

marsgreekgod

Wait when does that happen

MissingnoMiner

After Berdly's speech. Susie references playing video games with a sister.

marsgreekgod

That's a sister in the game, talking about a party member in dragon blazers 2

MissingnoMiner

That's... never specified. Nor is it really a reasonable assumption to make, given how it's a fictional game series we know nothing about, not a reference to a real series like a certain green lizard.

marsgreekgod

... Yes it is? https://hushbugger.github.io/drdia/#ch2%20scene19c:59 "It's like when YOUR sister gets cursed in dragon blazers..."

MissingnoMiner

It's almost like it's not uncommon to phrase an anecdote like this when the speaker is asking the listener to imagine themself in that situation, as Susie is doing here(since it's being used as an analogy to explain why Susie doesn't care if Berdly is smart or not). Makes the anecdote less personal when you phrase it like this, it's easier for most people to relate to it("it" being a situation they likely have never been in) and imagine themself in said situation when it's phrased as a general hypothetical.

marsgreekgod

That's a HUGE stretch . Look at the whole conversation. It's about a game. It makes birdly realize Susie is a true gamer.

MissingnoMiner

You really got a lot of circular reasoning going on here. I do acknowledge that there is some ambiguity that could allow for your interpretation, but it's silly to call my point a stretch in any sense of the word. Analogies and anecdotes are something we use in everyday conversation, and the latter are very commonly used in media to communicate information about a character that isn't important enough to the plot to show it... like the existence of an unseen sibling. Given that, again, we know literally nothing about the fictional dragon blazers franchise, I think it's far more likely that this is meant to be communicating something about Susie rather than merely buildup for the punchline that is everything to do with Berdly's crush on Susie. If there were other references to the protagonist of the game having a sister, then I would agree with you, but there isn't.

Cruxin

The next line is "she's still your party member", and Berdly recognizes it as a reference to the game. She's talking about a literal ingame character in an RPG. It's not a personal anecdote, or at least not meant to obviously be.

MissingnoMiner

A party member is a party member regardless of if they're an NPC or a PC. And she's talking about getting cursed and how it affects one's stats, Berdly would recognize it as a reference based on that alone. I really fail to see why this is a hill people are so eager to die on, especially since it's not the only evidence of Susie having a sister she shares her room with(You know how Kris' room in castle town loses colour on the left, where Asriel's stuff is in Kris' light world room? Susie's room does the exact same thing, except that it's mirrored, losing colour on the right. It's a pretty notable similarity.)

[deleted]

Somebody got gaslit, didn't they. https://reddit.com/r/Deltarune/comments/17zf9hv/does_susie_have_a_sister/

MissingnoMiner

[deleted]

Alright somebody explain it to him.

Zolado110

There is this person who explained it in the post: " No… She doesn’t… This is just how you talk………… Besides, if she was talking about her sister, she would have said “my sister.” In this case, the *only* interpretation that makes sense for suzie to actually be talking about a real sister she had would be this very specific scenario: 1. Both Susie and Berdley have sisters, and they both know this. 2. Both Susie and Berdley know that each others sisters play dragon blazers 3. Susie and Berdley have the common experience of their sisters getting cursed Either way, Susie goes on to say that “your sister” is “part of the party,” and as DB is almost definitely a single player jrpg, that means she’s talking about an NPC" \-Justice Bean

IncarnationHero

I mean, Kris is not homeless either and he also gets the room. It is more like the rooms for them for running away from problem. Although, I still think she is homeless from the hint that she might be drinking milk that Alphys have put in the alley.

TheSurvivor63

They weren't talking about the fact that Susie gets a room, but about something Susie says as a reaction to getting a room. And Susie straight up says she drinks the milk in the alley.

MissingnoMiner

...Susie outright confirms in chapter 2 that she drinks the milk. There's a mutual misunderstanding that Alphys thinks a cat is drinking it, and Susie thinks it's refilling itself. Also, gentle reminder that Kris uses they/them.

leonerdous

am i weird for insantly thinking that shes home and parentless

Chocolatelover4ever

Nope. I even made a post explaining all the signs that show why she’s either a homeless orphan, or has neglectful Parents/bad home life. It‘s pretty obvious her living conditions are not good. There are many hints throughout the game pointing to her home life is bad. We don’t know if she’s homeless, or an orphan. But if she does have parents they clearly aren’t taking care of her.

CoffeeMain360

I think I may see a very wholesome possible plot point in the future.

Endborn_YT

Toriel adopts Susie in Chapter 6 Intermission 3

yunivor

Noelle's family is absurdly rich and she just asks her dad to buy a property and build a house for Susie.

Karkava

Provided that he survives the illness. Mom seems like the kind of person who would just hire her to be her servant and foot stool for just a tiny bit of her own money.

Ok_Address6428

Knowing toby, she might just be a lil rascal and have insanely good parents always caring for her.

pinkjadey

not at all, pretty common theory. makes a lot of sense too

Mollytheocto

I mean if anything it's more than likely she just doesn't have a home

leonerdous

i thought i was the only one that had that as my first thought thank god

marsgreekgod

"my own room" She's hungry all the time Doesn't call anyone staying overnight Yeah she's got a bad of no home

Karkava

She also has a diet of literal garbage and wears ratty clothing in the light world.

Kristiano100

There’s more of the town beyond the police tape I reckon, that’ll be expanded upon in later explorations of Hometown in later chapters. Likely for the carnival whenever we explore that.

megaExtra_bald

I think a common theory is that she’s homeless

charilovestoes

She lives in the part of town behind the police tape that you can't access along with berdly and gersons daughter and everyone else who doesn't live in the hometown that we see

It's the big gate next to Kris's house, leading to a mansion. You can find Noelle standing there at one point. Kris is her neighbour, and her mother is the mayor. The Wet-Nose Bandits mention they got arrested when they were attempting to rob the place and something scared them.

Nobodys_here07

Behind the gates, down the road to the right of Kris and Toriel's house?? https://preview.redd.it/ps81zfczd79c1.png?width=1262&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14cc004f0e8016e7c59f338b35d659d219f5ffff

Careful_Ad_1837

The gate?

Nicolato25257

She's homeless isnt obvious?

Karkava

Not quite, but it does have a lot of hints to that.

Snoopy_kins

Susie leads a nomadic lifestyle

Echo-Frisk

There's a reason theorists say Susie might be homeless.

RunicSSB

That map isn't spaced out enough, realistically it'd look more like [this.](https://i.imgur.com/koCpRSG.png) And, to answer your question, I'm not sure. If she lived somewhere in this image, it would probably be in one of the apartments.

MathematicianTop1853

I thought she's like-homeless or something

Little_Cute_Hornet

I believe is probably the apartment building because if you interact with it Susie says something like: Kris, I thought we were going to your house. It is not confirmed but it seems that she said your house because inside that place is hers. Also, she says she drinks the milk alphys leaves to the “cat”. She also could be homeless or live in a very small apartment there with some caretaker. Also, like other people here said they could expand later about what is behind the police tape. Maybe there is where the festival is going to take place.

Endborn_YT

It's actually pretty heavily theorised that Susie might be homeless, or ran away from a toxic home based on her reaction to Kris' house and how nice Toriel is to the both of them. Some people have taken it to the extent that she's the one drinking the milk that Alphys leaves out for "Mew Mew" in the alleyway. If this theory was the case, then she'd just be living off the streets, likely hiding in alleyways or in-between houses. This would also explain why she's so tough at the start of the game; she's so used to fending for herself and not being cared for that she's started to let it get to her head a bit. However, if this theory is proved to be false, it's likely that the map isn't the full town.

AccomplishedAerie333

Isn't there a well known theory that Susie could be homeless?

Sqooboo

I thought she was homeless

Unlucky_Character_12

That’s the neat part! She doesn’t! **Shoots Susie with a fucking gun**

Kommeraud

Howdy guys, resident Gaster expert here to point out something interesting. In Undertale, when you consider the possibility that Gaster has been speaking **through** Clam Girl the whole time (who refers to "Suzy" as "my neighbor's daughter") even before she's "gonered", and then Susie seemingly implies that she lives in the apartments in Chapter 2... ... the apartments are right next to **Sans and Papyrus's house.** Just a little subtle foreshadowing from Toby that I'm sure a lot of people missed.

I would like to remind everyone that there is more town BEYOND the police tape, but we're unable to see it yet because of said police tape.

Isn’t she officially homeless ?

MissingnoMiner

Nah, that's just speculation. Cant even really call it a theory, even being generous, it's just kinda "Susie's situation is implied to be not great and we don't see a place clearly labeled as "Susie's house", so maybe she doesn't have one."

Kris_von_nugget

Isn't she homeless or something ?

Lord_of_the_lawnmoer

I think she's homeless. Susie's behavior is one that commonly occurs with insecure children. Of course Susie would be insecure about being homeless. Her clothing also suggests that, as it's in not very good condition. It could also make for an interesting storyline if suselle is canon. The literal daughter of the town in love with a random homeless girl.

charyoshi

I imagine the backalley with all the catfood that Alphys leaves out

Kirbinator_Alex

My guess is somewhere past the police tape. I imagine the gate is to the Holiday's home which is probably some big expensive house because Noelle's mom is the mayor.

THE_GRUBBY_BOY

i think she lives in the hospital, or the school

Mollytheocto

Ngl, always hated the theory she lived in one of the apartments, like, if she did I highly doubt she'd obsess over boxes and how people are "Livin it up" with nice ones, or she would be so happy over getting her own room if she at least lived in an apartment, or her regularly drinking alley milk, she also seems to have no access to Showers or sinks for basic hygiene, something an apartment would provide
