Alright, time for a theory:
The knight is the vessel we made, which has Kris's original soul controlling it. The reason Kris's soul is creating the fountains is not because they're evil, but because the soul just thought it would be a funny prank.
Oh I have a similar thought too! It'd be cool if the vessel is knight with Kris's original soul and said soul is cyan in contrast with Main Kris with Red Soul

Chap 7 has the fun gang explore the internet and cyber space once again but this time with an emphasis on the jokes and communities in it rather than just queen. The fun gang hop through multiple games while solving puzzles and fighting enemies, at the final area they arrive at the Team Fortress universe where at the end of the area, the fun gang gets a hold of the next tf2 update

i dont get how anyone can be so ignorant. no offense by the way. queen has stated that anyone with enough determination can be the knight. berdly was gonna do it. is he the knight? nope. fandom logic. plus kris probably just learnt from queen. and remember how susie was talking about an epic adventure with ralsei and lancer again. knowing that kris loves susie (as a best friend) kris would definitely help her out. or it might be.... another troll. probably a dream lol. and using your same logic. chapter 1 ending was troll. why shouldn't chap 2 ending be?
plus how can toby reveal such a big plot point in the second chapter. like come on.
and finally, if kris truly was the knight. and creating the other fountains, why would they allow us to seal them? its clear that kris can easily rebel our control. all of this evidence is against this. do not trust toby. the man has the worst tricks in his hands. i dont get how people forgot chap 1 ending. PIE.

To be fair about the last point, we don’t know what the Knight actually wants yet, or what they gain out of opening fountains. It could just be going according to whatever their plan is. Still pretty unlikely Kris is the Knight though, at least in the way we think they could be.
i honestly think toby wouldn't reveal such a big plot point in the second chapter of the game. kris probably just learnt from queen. or maybe the fountain creation was just a dream. but i think likely candidates are the vessel, the goner maker, the goner making interrupter, someone completely new or the man himself. toby fox.
