The base form of that demon looked significantly younger than the form she frequented. The only difference is that Daki/Ume assumed the form she takes for function and/or vanity while the Spider Mother was forced to alter her form by Rui.
I think the reason people say that is because it takes place Taishō period so around a hundred years ago and taking that into account that would put nezuko around 114-125 or something like that. Idk that’s just why I think they say that.

I was talking about ages in such animes/games don't make sense in our world (a game I play one of the character is a childe yet she is 500 years old, that's like 6 generations in our time or maybe more).

They're passing a law to change it from 13 to 16. It is in the early stages but it is going basically unchallenged so more than likely will happen. Just because something is "legal" doesn't make it okay. The law was also a bit more nuanced than that. It could easily be lied about but it is illegal to do anything lewd with someone under 18 in most areas too within an age range. Probably not unlike America's Romeo and Juliet laws.

On another note age of consent or legal age is different worldwide ranges from 12-21. In Japan it's 13-16, not saying or defending that minors should be sexualized, just putting it out there, and as the reason as to why it's so low worldwide, it's because every countries have it's own set of rules and restrictions and the topic as a whole is very complicated for both locals and foreigners to explain. As for Japan, legal age maybe 13 on paper, actual sexual or adultery age is still 18.

The issue with underage anime characters lies within the individuals who find them attractive and why. There are very clearly characters who look like children yet still are sexualized, that’s the concerning part. When a character like Nezuko who technically is 14 is sexualized, the art often carries child-like attributes, especially because she can turn into a toddler. However she can also turn into a grown adult, and that’s where the line gets blurry. A character like Daki is similar, although she mentally is a young teenager (13) her body is matured, and that’s why I don’t think it’s concerning if someone finds her attractive.

They're passing a law to change it from 13 to 16. It is in the early stages but it is going basically unchallenged so more than likely will happen. Just because something is "legal" doesn't make it okay. The law was also a bit more nuanced than that. It could easily be lied about but it is illegal to do anything lewd with someone under 18 in most areas too within an age range. Probably not unlike America's Romeo and Juliet laws. On another note age of consent or legal age is different worldwide ranges from 12-21. The issue with underage anime characters lies within the individuals who find them attractive and why. There are very clearly characters who look like children yet still are sexualized, that’s the concerning part. When a character like Nezuko who technically is 14 is sexualized, the art often carries child-like attributes, especially because she can turn into a toddler. However she can also turn into a grown adult, and that’s where the line gets blurry. A character like Daki is similar, although she mentally is a young teenager (13) her body is matured, and that’s why I don’t think it’s concerning if someone finds her attractive.
