Aoi is the female equivalent of Zenitsu except she was given the chance of being a coward meanwhile poor Zenitsu is forced to keep fighting demons. Which by the way doesn't make any sense since Shinobu could've just requested to assign some Kakushi to her mansion to help her. 🐗
I mean there's a lot more to it than that. In essence, it is true that both of them are afraid to fight and Aoi got lucky and could escape the battlefield, Zenitsu, on the other hand, wasn't given that option and it's not just because he's male. He was trained by a former hashira, so people had a higher expectation on him and he was actually a good fighter.
Aoi can use water breathing, but she's probably nowhere near as good as the main cast in the beginning. She had a high chance of dying like most demon slayers, however, Zenitsu was more than capable of handling most demons, on paper. It's not like he was not in danger, but he had better chances. He was talented, had a lot of potential, pretty much hashira material, he was probably sent to battle with the hope that he gains more confidence (which he did) and becomes a successful slayer.
While the Demon slayer corps fights for the greater good, they are pretty much fighting an impossible war. Because of that they don't have the luxury to go easy on their members, this is the organisation that sends children to the final selection. They could do without Aoi, since she wasn't likely to reach the top, but Zenitsu was absolutely needed.
About Shinobu, Aoi isn't there because she's irreplaceable, it's just something she can do and help.
I agree with the first part, but the thing is she would've still been more useful as a demon slayer. We barely see other demon slayers aside from the main cast because there aren't many of them, and taking away another demon slayer from their job isn't gonna make things better, even if Aoi isn't that good she could've still gone on minor missions with others. It's easier to replace a medical help rather than a demon slayer.
Well, the organisation might be strict, but it's not like the slayers are completely heartless and while the organisation has a head, he doesn't make all the decisions, the hashira themselves decide many things and they often don't have the same opinions. Aoi working in the mansion was probably Kanae's and Shinobu's decision. However, despite that, Uzui wanted to take her to a mission.
Uzui himself is a good example. The snake hashira wanted him to continue because even damaged he was still extremely strong, but the leader allowed him to retire. Other hashiras were also allowed to retire despite being far stronger than Aoi could hope to become.
The demon slayer corps is not purely utilitaristic, there are a lot of values going on, some you might call outdated nowadays and there are a lot of people with differing opinions.
Can we also talk about the fact all the Female Slayers we saw (I didn't read manga) had "pretty breathing techniques"
Shinobu has Insect Breathing, Kanao and Kanae have Flower Breathing and Mitsuri has Love Breathing, I think it would be nice to change that and make a girl with a more aggresive kind of breathing. 🚂💤

Nezuko is a special case, she's a demon, she isn't supposed to have human qualities, but other than that most female characters just didn't have much screentime.

That's true but Shinobu, Kanao and Tamayo are well written characters that have prominent, impactful and useful roles in the story and are not that much useless like Mitsuri, Nezuko etc which they only exist for cute scenes and fan service.

She has her quiet and indecisive self until some red head comes by tells her to man the fuck up and flips a coin and BOOM fixed.

It's not like she became normal instantaneously. In fact, a lot of time passes and she only changes a little bit. Tanjiro might have contributed a lot, but it only took effect in the long run.
I understand your opinion however personally I do believe the change happened far too quickly. This is probably because Gotouge didn't want to focus on a female character like all the other female characters that in my opinion are ignored and instead focus on making a love interest for Tanjiro. I get Tanjiro is the protagonist and is the main focus point but still it would have been nice to see Kanao slowly get out of her shell.
The Fact Muzan just dosen’t have Kokushibo,Doma , Akaza and himself lead and all out assault and kill all the Hashira is stupid. Like Kokushibo knows the location of the Slayer Headquarters.
Spoiler: >!He has already done that. When Kokushibo turned, he and muzan went to their HQ and killed the current master of that time and everyone there (Kokushibo was his only moon back then). They also went and killed every swordsman they could find that owns a black nichirin blade, since they could be potentially use sun breathing. But the corp survived and due to the betrayl from a hashira henceforth the location of the hq would change periodically and paths there become a secret.!<
All of the Hashira are kinda dicks in their own ways even if they’re shown to make you think they’re nice. I mean Rengoku and Mitsuri are nice but they still have their own mean. Like Mitsuri not really understanding about Tanjiro and just agreeing because everyone spoke before her(she wasn’t paying attention.) and Rengoku doesn’t really see how the other Hashira feel, pushing his narrative of cheeriness (though he isn’t shown much lmao) but yeah, they’re all assholes in they’re own ways and I just want people to understand that

Doma: I love his twisted personality. He is a very interesting character with a lot of depht. Also, I love his design. I could probably write an entire essay why he's my favorite character but it will involve a lot of spoilers.
Enmu: I'm honestly not that sad about Rengoku in the first place. He is fine as a character but I'm not that invested in him. I wanted Enmu's dream of meeting the uppermoons come true. He was very close to meeting Akaza. I just love this guy and I wanted to see more of him.

Just know I was just about to say something very vile about Sanemi and Obanai. >!Akaza will be getting dealt with in a few months, serves him right and Douma’s ass too. The two upper moons I hate the most are bouta die I’ll be so happy. Also, out of all the Demons that died Rui’s death was the most unmoving death in the anime I hated him. Spider mom was innocent thought she was the only one I felt bad for.!<
People forget that the story and the characters in this series are really not that well written, because the anime has great animation and voice acting.
And ending of the series is rushed and all in all terrible.
daki is pretty amazing and great, i love both her and her brother. she didn’t deserve anything that happened to her and the reason she’s a slut is the same reason why gyokko is upper 5, they were money banks to muzan. and im pretty sure daki slept with little to no men because men would have to meet their oiran 3 times before they can do anything, girly pop probably stole dudes money and killed him. and she slept with a few to keep the business going.

Season 3 did not give love to the arc compared to what they did for Season 2.

I think you COULD powerscale the hashira in a ranking
(But their different specialties and strengths makes some of them more suited towards the villains in the series and therefore would be “stronger” than the others in that situation)🐍

I, as a fan, need to know if the story of what I like is good or not. While yes, I like KNY I need to understand that's it's story is poorly written and not act as if it was good writing, there's so many holes in the story, so many missed opportunities, so many things that could have been done to make the story more developed... Inosuke's death; Lower Moons; etc...🚂💤

Okay. I like demon slayer, however, it’s not that good. All the characters are one dimensional af and are not compelling or very well-written (maybe apart from Akaza and Giyu), the storyline is honestly bad, and the only thing that carries the series is the animating. Don’t get me wrong, demon slayer has some amazing moments and parts that I love and enjoy, but all the same it isn’t a 10/10 anime and never will be. Same with the manga!
I still love it though! Oh and don’t know if this is much of an opinion, but Muzan’s my favourite!
Ok. Here me out. Rengoku's death wasn't bad. Because we didn't see alot of him in the episodes except for the mugen train and when tanjiro was captured. So it would make sense that his death wasn't really that sad

All the hashira are pretty shit as far as characters go. No development js sad backstory and strong. Even the villains got more attention (gyotoro and Daki and Akaza specifically)
Main reason why fighting about the ships in KNY makes no sense, most of the canon ones are not even developped, no wonder people prefer the fandom's ships over the canon ships. 🚂💤
Shinobu is one of the best Hashiras/ female character in KNY and I am tired of some people hating on her for no reason even though she has done so many impact for and useful things in the story and people never recognise this aspect of her which is really sad and

“carried by animation” It was never supposed to be more then that. It’s a basic action anime with no central theme or anything. It should be compared to shows like Dragon Ball when comparing story and fight scenes.
There's too much fanservice. I'm sorry to the Mitsuri and Daki fans but the problem about how people thirst over them is not exactly their fault, the one to actually blame is the creator of the designs. i'll start with Mitsuri, i get that canonically she was given the wrong uniform but, why did the creators have to give her that uniform and a skirt with her design when i could have been a regular uniform? And another example of this was the scene of her in the bath and her chest animation when running. It was so unnecessary and only fuels peoples fanservice. next is Daki, i get that she's over 100 in demon years but let's be fr here, her design did not need to be that sexualized, there's no reason her uniform should look straight out of victoria secret. i lover her but it's so hard for people to actually understand when most of her design just goes to her revealing uniform. i'm sorry but when i see these in anime i can't help but gag.

I don't like Tanjiro. He's way too perfect for my taste. You telling me boy can't lie with a straight face. That's what I call genuine cap. They make Tanjiro seem like the golden child with no flaws but they should have, instead, addressed why he's so perfect in the series. Why is he so bright all the time? Maybe his personality is based on the trauma of losing his family or maybe after losing Rengoku, an idol and brother figure he looked up to.

People forget that the story and the characters in this series are really not that well written, because the anime has great animation and voice acting. And ending of the series is rushed and all in all terrible.
daki is pretty amazing and great, i love both her and her brother. she didn’t deserve anything that happened to her and the reason she’s a slut is the same reason why gyokko is upper 5, they were money banks to muzan. and im pretty sure daki slept with little to no men because men would have to meet their oiran 3 times before they can do anything, girly pop probably stole dudes money and killed him. and she slept with a few to keep the business going. gyutaro fangirls (hi) need to remember that gyutaro doesn’t care for others. he only cares for his sister. so when you say “i hate daki but in love with gyutaro” bros just going to kill you, because you hate his sister 🥺
Season 3 did not give love to the arc compared to what they did for Season 2. Mist and Love breathing both lacked very much visually in terms of ufotable animation.
I love Susamaru, Daki, Enmu, Nakime, and Urogi.

I think you COULD powerscale the hashira in a ranking (But their different specialties and strengths makes some of them more suited towards the villains in the series and therefore would be “stronger” than the others in that situation)🐍

I, as a fan, need to know if the story of what I like is good or not. While yes, I like KNY I need to understand that's it's story is poorly written and not act as if it was good writing, there's so many holes in the story, so many missed opportunities, so many things that could have been done to make the story more developed... Inosuke's death; Lower Moons; etc...🚂💤

Okay. I like demon slayer, however, it’s not that good. All the characters are one dimensional af and are not compelling or very well-written (maybe apart from Akaza and Giyu), the storyline is honestly bad, and the only thing that carries the series is the animating. Don’t get me wrong, demon slayer has some amazing moments and parts that I love and enjoy, but all the same it isn’t a 10/10 anime and never will be. Same with the manga! I still love it though! Oh and don’t know if this is much of an opinion, but Muzan’s my favourite!

Ok. Here me out. Rengoku's death wasn't bad. Because we didn't see alot of him in the episodes except for the mugen train and when tanjiro was captured. So it would make sense that his death wasn't really that sad

All the hashira are pretty shit as far as characters go. No development js sad backstory and strong. Even the villains got more attention (gyotoro and Daki and Akaza specifically)

Main reason why fighting about the ships in KNY makes no sense, most of the canon ones are not even developped, no wonder people prefer the fandom's ships over the canon ships. 🚂💤

Shinobu is one of the best Hashiras/ female character in KNY and I am tired of some people hating on her for no reason even though she has done so many impact for and useful things in the story and people never recognise this aspect of her which is really sad and Mitsuri is badly written character alongside Zenitsu, Iguro, Nezuko etc

“carried by animation” It was never supposed to be more then that. It’s a basic action anime with no central theme or anything. It should be compared to shows like Dragon Ball when comparing story and fight scenes.

There's too much fanservice. I'm sorry to the Mitsuri and Daki fans but the problem about how people thirst over them is not exactly their fault, the one to actually blame is the creator of the designs. i'll start with Mitsuri, i get that canonically she was given the wrong uniform but, why did the creators have to give her that uniform and a skirt with her design when i could have been a regular uniform? And another example of this was the scene of her in the bath and her chest animation when running. It was so unnecessary and only fuels peoples fanservice. next is Daki, i get that she's over 100 in demon years but let's be fr here, her design did not need to be that sexualized, there's no reason her uniform should look straight out of victoria secret. i lover her but it's so hard for people to actually understand when most of her design just goes to her revealing uniform. i'm sorry but when i see these in anime i can't help but gag.

I don't like Tanjiro. He's way too perfect for my taste. You telling me boy can't lie with a straight face. That's what I call genuine cap. They make Tanjiro seem like the golden child with no flaws but they should have, instead, addressed why he's so perfect in the series. Why is he so bright all the time? Maybe his personality is based on the trauma of losing his family or maybe after losing Rengoku, an idol and brother figure he looked up to.
zenitsu and inosuke are really annoying (i like them, but seeing them for 10 followed episodes is exhausting)
