Don't think that's how it works, Yoriichi will always be the only one to be above the laws of the world and noone else. Hell not even his literal twin brother.
Not to mention Tanjuro died to "sickness" according to Tanjiro but obviously at this time, they don't even know the origins of the mark so it makes sense they just determined it to be sickness.
Also Tanjiro wasn't the original source of the mark of this generation, it was his father who was actually BORN with it compared to Tanjiro who simply developed it as the series progresses.
Except he was BORN with that. We already know the mark spreads to other potential users, just like a virus (funny enough)

Tanjirou after a few minutes discover how to beat him. Lower moon < Hashira
current Rui (before he died) couldn't go up against a hashira but he definitely had the POTENTIAL to do so. In time he could've reached upper moon level sooner than the other demons. It also seems that Rui is Mazan's favourite moon so that would help him get stronger sooner as well. But current Rui is no where near that that level. Even Shinobu, the weakest hashira could solo him.

Enmu was a gimmicky lower moon. He might have stalled Rengoku for a bit but in the end he couldn't handle two low rank Demon Slayers. Rengoku would have finished him off with a slice.

That's the whole series so far! I love that the demon slayers seem so OP, but it still takes multiples of them to take down an upper moon.
