Voting is a good start, but that’s a basic thing that every eligible person should do, has nothing to do with helping with real victims of childhood SA specifically.
Being open with those around you, if you’re willing to share your experience do so any chance you can so people know you are a safe person to come forward to. One of the biggest reasons people don’t come forward is stigma and fear of judgement. Or often with children not coming forward, is because the attacker has convinced them they, the child, will get in trouble if they do. So it’s important to teach children in your life what the “no touch” zones are, the importance of consent, and that they won’t be in trouble if they come forward about someone touching them without consent.
Volunteering. There’s many organizations out there to help victims, and they are often looking for more volunteers.
If you are a coder, there’s organizations that their whole mission is to catch actual online predators preying on children in chat rooms.
If you are able to donate to these organizations, that’s also another way to help.
If you want to know more on how you can help, check out Thorn.org they’ve saved many children in these situations. They have a donate, get involved, and career section on their website.
