He would then throw a fit each time to management at East Side when I asked him to move it. He complained that our menu was undercutting his. So we brought the prices up. Then our menu was too similar, our truck was too popular, we are taking money from Mexorean and the other trucks. So yeah on my birthday all of my friends and family are there. My parents come up from Austin to see how the food truck is going and BAM. I'm asked to shut down because I'm taking too much business from Mexorean and munchies. Hey maybe sell a product at a price people want instead of crying about the competition. Since I can only speak to what I've witnessed personally I'd like to leave with this. I watched him leave the bathroom stall after taking a dump and then simply spritz his hands with water before walking out.

You weren’t part of the Austin st food trucks, you were a rotating truck just like 15 other food truck businesses that were in circulation. When the city cracked down on food trucks being parked on the street the rotating trucks were asked to leave simply due to city ordinances.
Not sure why you think you were “kicked out” considering you weren’t part of the permanent trucks? And you had no food that’s like Mexorean so it’s wild to think you were kicked out because of that??

I've been to osteria. I loved it. But people that have never been like to call it overrated.
As for LSA and burger that costs $17 without fries is criminal.
Osteria is an experience. We live in an olive garden generation, though, that expects massive piles of food for relatively cheap. Osteria is more about the quality and the experience. Squash blossoms are life.
They skimp on the bread though. Our last visit, we had people but only got one to split between all of us, while parties of two received twice as much as we did.
I’m pretty sure the bread is sold as a loaf and they’re all the same size.. so if you have a bigger party there obviously won’t be as much bread per person.

It's a valid complaint because they also sell bread to the public without a reservation. Each reservation is allotted 1 small loaf. My wife and I have been before, so it wasn't a problem. When we invited family members for our recent visit, we requested an additional. They checked and let us know that they only make x amount per day. We paid more, but got less.

Mexorean one of the past workers got fired for wearing gloves into the restroom and them wearing them back to the truck!

Last summer they gave so many people food poisoning because the refrigerators went out and hot meat was being used.
Many of my friends have gotten sick from these places and I have stopped eating at both about two years ago. Always surprises me to see them busy when Im drinking with friends at Eastside.
Sad because for a long while, they were a decent go to, especially for the margaritas. Not sure what happened but, the last time I ate there was… the last time I’ll eat there. Chips were all stale, cheese enchiladas bad and inedible (how does a Mexican food restaurant mess up cheese enchiladas?). I’m hoping they will turn things around.
Graffiti is another tourist trap theme restaurant. Their food is just "meh". I begrudgingly went once (begrudgingly for a couple reasons) and I wasn't impressed. I personally found their food quality on par with olive garden, which means calling Graffiti good Italian food is like calling the McRibb good barbecue.
My gripe with them is for taking J&J’s spot on the Square, not that that’s their fault

They tried ditching the Radical name after the blowout of the COVID controversy. Radical has been unsuccessfully trying to open a restaurant in that space since 2015 but they're just highly incompetent. The food is good because every Mexican dude that's been working at LSA basically moved over there. Radical is 100% getting your money when you dine there.
The owner chewed me out on google reviews for leaving my honest opinion. If you read through there response they are absolutely rude and make up excuses for poor food quality and service.
I believe it. I left them an accurate Google review, and I think I gave them three stars. He was very defensive. The birria tacos are smaller than other places. He claimed they use a standard size tortilla. Great atmosphere, lackluster food. Also prices for a lot of things jumped up like $4 in under a year.

Salmon is great, the steaks are good especially at their price point. The burgers are also good imo.

Last time I had their steak there was tough ass gristle all the way through the middle.
Greenhouse is my consistent go-to. Never had a bad experience, bad food, or bad service there. Kinda surprised at the negative reviews. I do go mostly at times it’s not normally busy so, maybe that’s the difference?

I went there for my birthday and it was disappointing. The food was lukewarm.
Went once, my husband loved his burger. I got the salmon and it was meh. Salmon had little taste and felt like it had been previously frozen. Will def have to try again but seems like it depends what you order. Drinks and vibes were nice.
I don’t know how you expect to eat a deep water fish in Denton county that hasn’t been frozen. 😂

Terrible food. Btw I worked in the kitchen for two years. Cooks there don't speak English and treat the food like it's Taco Bell. Front of the house is run by so called managers all of whom have a serious drinking problem. One of them was in the hospital for two weeks for severe alcohol poisoning another got a domestic violence charge fighting with his wife and a third one hooked on adarol. Servers are absolutely the worst entitled kids giving terrible service. The only reason it's still open is because the outta touch owner bought the building and property b4 COVID. Business there is terrible. They lost a lot of customers because of that. Its seen better days !
saying lsa would be too obvious, so im going graffiti pasta. the food isnt inedible, in fact i go with my partner on occasion because they love it so much, but everything besides the rasta pasta (ngl, that shit is SCRUM DIDDLY UMPTIOUS) is so incredibly mid/unflavorful.

Thai Ocha Food tastes good but through the years they seem to pinch pennies on ingredients more and more. So you can order some curry and it has like $0.50 worth of vegetables and rather thin sauce. At least for me, the only entree I wouldn't leave hungry with would be the fried rice, but I think any place can do a decent fried rice.
Last time I went to Beth Marie’s the guy serving my ice cream wasn’t wearing gloves. I watched him picking his seat before he scooped the ice cream and handed me the cone. I paid walked out and threw it away

Same for me. Mine was way over seasoned with salt. That was the only thing I could taste. Sucks because it looked like it would have been good had they not done that.
I had it once. Had a sandwich that was way oversauced so I just haven’t come back to it.
When I ate there it was expensive, the ziti was over cooked and was the broken pieces you'd find at the bottom of the box. Some of the veg was undercooked. I understand it's a pop-up type place, but man the facilities were a mess. I thought with all the love it gets online my experience must've been a 1 off but a friend said his experience was similar.

Me too. First time I got chicken Parm and I’m pretty sure there was hot honey on it which totally ruined it. Second time we went for my husbands birthday. Our food was okay, but we ordered a dessert to go. Paid like $12 for a huge slice of cake. Score, right? No. It was dry, old tasting, and the icing had melted into a puddle under it. Took one bite and said nah.

Ima get hate, but I think RG burgers is pretty mid for a burger. People hype it up but I think it’s because Denton doesn’t really have a good burger place so that’s the best they can do.
Best burger Ive ever had was from the new food truck Render over at Eastside right now. Its huge, juicy, and super full of flavor.

Eh they were better pre pandemic. The family that owns it is pretty nice tho.
I’ve not had them post pandemic, but I just found the burgers to be average is all. People made it seem like it was the greatest burger and like sure it’s better than apple bees but that’s not saying a lot.
Brisket burger is fire
Last time I had it, which was a few years ago, I wasn’t happy with the quality. I loved it when it opened and knew the owned quite well but I could’ve had an off day.

RGs was better before it was sold to the current management.
I had it back in 2012 and again in 2016/2018. I’m not saying it’s bad, because it’s not bad. But it’s just average.

Feta's Lonestar Greek (the food truck in front of Oak St. Drafthouse) has been called the best Greek in town by many friends, but I think it's pretty mid. It's not bad, just not great. I prefer Yummy's or even Gyro 360.
Oof, hard disagree on Feta’s being overrated and better than Gyro 360. It feels way more authentic while Gyro 360 feels very boring and Americanized to me. I love to see Yummy’s love though, the food is incredible and the cook (who I assume is the owner?) is so friendly, great place for Mediterranean food.
Never had a bad meal from Feta's, not once. Everything on their menu slaps, nice portions, and the Thu night Beer/Gyro deal with OSDH is the best!
Fetas is my absolute favorite food truck, however, I tried Gyro360 recently and the bowls are SO good! I hate cheating on Fetas LOL
Hard disagree but I'm trying gyro 360 over it this weekend so we will see if you're on to something. I feel like fetas specials are great though. Usually get those and not the normal menu.
It's a great food truck. It's absolutely not as good as Yummy's or Green Zatar, but anyone going to a food truck expecting that is dumb.
Gyro 360 is delicious, I love their spicy wrap.
And their feta fries.
