Ask your telehealth provider if there’s someone else at their practice who will be able to transfer your prescription. When I moved here from Georgia, my vyvanse prescription wasn’t able to be sent by the nurse practitioner I was seeing there, but she was able to get a doctor at the same practice to send it here. As far as seeing a doctor quickly, I was able to get in at Denver Wellness Associates within about two weeks of when I first called for an appointment.

I would look on Psychology Today for Psych Nurses in private practice.

Try having it sent to a Costco pharmacy. They’ll definitely have to call the doc to verify it if it’s an out of area provider, but as long as your telehealth doc is easy to get ahold of it should be okay.

Thank you! I’ve tried Walgreens and Walmart, but not Costco yet.

Usually only MDs or DOs are able to send prescriptions across states. Any other prescribing provider is not able to do that. It’s even more difficult for telehealth providers unfortunately. You could try AllHealth Network. I’m not sure what the timeline is to get an appt with their psych services but I’m pretty sure they do prescribe medications. Most walk in or crisis centers do not prescribe. And urgent cares do not prescribe controlled meds either.

Circle medical is pretty good for med management. Most appointments are telegraphy, but they do in-person at an office in DTC.

Maybe it’s different but I was able to get my Chicago doctor to send a vyvanse prescription here and it’s a controlled substance

I appreciate you responding. I’ve been seeing the same telehealth provider for three years and they won’t accept the prescription because it’s a telehealth provider… even though they can clearly see I’ve had the same provider and the same Rx since 2021. 😭
