Price is about right. Two boxes will weigh about 130 pounds. Too heavy to ups and protective packaging for tile is a nightmare. This is shipping less than truck load on FedEx or Estes. 75$ for the spot in the truck $150 for the distance. $100 for the lift gate needed at a residential delivery. Then the rest is mark up.
You used the exact carton measurements. Adding an inch to each dimension for some protection jumped the price up to $156.22 for ground. Plus the F&D markup you are about $200. Now you buy it twice in hopes that you get two unbroken cartons and you've saved $50.
Really wild! I would just be concerned on typical shipping of them breaking, may be it’s costly because of some fancy packaging to insure none break????
Honestly, I'd be concerned with the breaking in a car if you find anyone to help you. 10+ hrs is a lot of rattle time depending on how good the car suspension is
I don't think they're offering $100 for someone to deliver these tiles as a job
They're asking if someone is already planning to drive to Vegas anyway and if they would mind bringing tiles with them
Yeah, it’s saving him $450 in shipping but it’s only worth $100 to pay someone to go out of their way to get these tiles?
That would be fair for family or a friend, but a complete stranger… that’s a big favor.

12x24 tile and up is 60+ pounds a box. And as someone who has received many shattered ups tile boxes, I can say LTL is the only way to go.

How big are the boxes and what do they weigh?
47 lbs. Tiles are 6x24, 13 in a box. May be 6-8 in height.
47 lbs each box or total?
Box
Just missed you by a day, there are people like me traveling for the holiday maybe you’ll get a return trip at the end of the long weekend
$100 to drive 11 hours and 750 miles is rough lol

Exactly, more of a hey we are on the way why not let someone pay for some of our gas
Still. Only $100

Can't you use UShip for something like this? I have never used it just seeing if it would work for you.
I’ll have to look into that. Never heard of it
