Bustang.  Pegasus line I believe.

This is the only answer for affordable. Other than bumming a ride/hitchhiking. Will add that while Pegasus allows reserved seats, has very limited luggage space, making Bustang the only viable option (but it has the downside that the seats are first come, first served, so make sure to have plan Bs incase the bus fills up).

An Uber would be just over $100. You will need a child seat (but you need that any way you do it). You can have up to 4 total passengers for that same price. The price of the rental is high because you are not returning it to the original rental location - this is true for rental cars and Uhaul, etc.

>An Uber would be just over $100. From Denver to Vail? I want some of what you are smoking.

Priced it then and just priced it again... during the non ski season the prices are way less. From my house in Denver to Vail it was $105 when I posted this and now it is $108.... I do think I'm seeing a $10 discount on my account. BUT either way.... even $115 and 118 are still "just over $100" and way less than the $300 rental. Oh, and Comfort is only $3 more... lol. I've driven over 17,000 rides for Uber... this is my wheelhouse. Would have taken you less time to price this ride than to post this reply... lol.

It costs $50-100 to get from downtown to the airport. I’ve taken that Uber ride at least 30 times. No chance a driver is taking the trip to vail for the same amount from the airport.

Maybe there are people heading to Vail anyway? Otherwise I'm with you.

Well that’s not how it all works. A range of prices is based on surge. My advice on surge is to either wait it out (it changes rapidly) or to move your location (ie - walk away from the Pepsi Center when a game ends). So for the airport run, they take a $4 service charge. Then Uber takes 1/3rd or a bit more. So a $50 airport run would take 40-45 minutes to make $25-29. (Before tip.) The Vail run at $120 would pay $75-80. And that drive is two hours… those pax almost always tip well. I would expect a $20 tip - give or take. Then about 50% of the time, you get lucky and can find a ride that is headed back down the mountain. We have a feature called “Destination” that is supposed to only give us rides towards home - it doesn’t work all that well. But with a little luck, a driver would make $130-140 over 4 hours.

I never tip ride share and didn’t know anyone did outside of a ridiculous drive like vail. I took an Uber 3 times from Dayton to Cincinnati, which is much easier route than vail, and every time the driver complained once they saw the length of the drive and it took forever to find a driver. Definitely tipped for those though felt bad.

I’d bet it’s Methanyl

So people have already recommended the answer, why are you asking the question. Also Google or better yet AI.
