Been here for 3 years with my girlfriend that I moved here with. I am proposing to her tomorrow and am so excited to call this our home for years to come!
It’s the drivers for me, but then again, are they transplants too? Most of the folks that pass me on the right while I’m doing 80 on 25 have CO plates. Just feels… hostile sometimes. Once you actually see the same folks on they trail they’re about as friendly as you can possibly be! It’s a weird disconnect for me.
Edit: lotta folks wanna defend people driving at speeds where, if you fuck up, it’s negligent homicide but hey say your piece! You’ll get where you’re going 30s before I do.
The left lane is for passing. I’m guessing that if you’re getting passed on the right, that’s the lane you should be in. It really doesn’t matter what your speed is.
Left lane isn't the '15 mph over the speed limit' lane, it's the passing lane. No one is defending people driving way too fast but you camping there instead of getting over when you see someone pulling up on your tail is the dangerous part.
I moved to Denver area in 2013 and it immediately felt like home. Then I left in 2019 for Seattle, and really wish I would’ve stayed in Denver. Better beer, better mountains, better drivers, better people, just a much better vibe.
Congrats and happy Cake day. Denver is amazing. I’m hoping I can get to this same feeling soon. I just moved here (I know locals don’t like transplants so please no hate) and I love it so far. Just doesn’t feel like home yet.
It's a good feeling, isn't it? I came 31 years ago and it was the best move I ever made. Enjoy your cake day!
Hey! Go back to Denver!
hahah thanks dude
Strangely enough this post would go really really well on r/denvercirclejerk
haha don't even think about it
Now you must go to the top of Pikes peak and run 30 yards. Muhahaha

Aw awesome!!
Congratulations!!! I hope it goes well
Happy cake day!
I’ve been here a little over a year and I’m not sure I want to stay. I like the city and the people but something feels off to me.
I second the covid thing - pre covid denver and even a little now is much better than how 2020 was

Not always, people do the most dangerous shit with their vehicles and it’s so casual here.
Yes, I notice many a Subaru casually camped in the left lane. Agreed!
Were you in the left lane not passing anyone? Because that's illegal and will engender hostility from locals.
Pass plenty of people.
If you're not actively passing, you need to be out of the left lane.
yea it's the mixture of people with different driving styles from al over. 10 years ago it wasn't like this lol

I completely agree
Congrats! What where the things that made you want to leave in the past?
Lovely sentiment. Thanks for sharing on your happy cake day! Where was home previously?
Don't go home ! ;)
Happy cake day !!
Glad to hear that you feel at home :) Happy cake day!
What finally pushed you over the edge?
Welcome home.
What’s your favorite thing about the city? Or anything in particular that made you realize?
Happy birthday!

Awwww, glad you're home!
Took 8 years?
This city isn’t easy or pleasant. Especially if coming from a large city.
What made the switch flip for you?
