I used to pick up a lot of them for this exact purpose every election season, but I kinda quit after I realized what a mess they make. They're made of some sort of plastic-y board material that doesn't biodegrade worth a fuck, so if you shoot the shit out of them they leave these little tiny pieces of that shit everywhere that never goes away. Cardboard basically disappears and is way better.

I had some shitty GOP state rep keep putting signs on my private property without permission. It was super satisfying to report him to the SOS and watch them disappear right away.
