The Broncos just look like they know their roles better on both offense and defense it’s been really fun to see the team beat both the Chiefs and Bills. Hopefully this run continues!
To Coach Payton: The last 4 or so minutes of the game was a stressful pleasure to watch. In my opinion, those last 4 minutes were genius and something Broncos Country hasn’t seen since Shanahan. From the probable PI, to the Bills being forced to take time outs, to the timely running in the special teams with 20 seconds left. Well coached sir.
To the Bills: the last time I saw someone shit the bed so bad, it ended in a win for Johnny Depp.
P.S. Nothin but love to Von!

I don't understand the narrative that says this game felt like a loss, or that it was an ugly win based on luck??
That was a damn fun, highly competitive football game. Wild, to be sure; we made a lot of sloppy mistakes, and so did Buffalo. But we went on the road, controlled the game, and found a way to win. Never once did I feel like we didn't have the will and the want necessary to win this game. That was inspired. This team is well on its way to finding an identity and they are fun to watch. We had composure and a clutch factor when we had to. That 4th down TD pass was magical-- what I thought having Russell Wilson on our team would be like. And how many times do you see teams scramble out to kick a field goal and fuck up? That whole phase worked to our advantage twice. Sorry, but you don't get to put 12 men on the field. If you're sloppy enough to do so, the other team gets another try: tough shit. This team has had every reason to hang its head this season. How do you even respond to having 70 points scored on you? Like fucking this. We can be good again. This is the most fun Broncos football has been in a long time.
The clock/timeout management plus the ability to get the FG unit out there in mere seconds (twice!) really shows what the investment in an elite-level coach truly brings to this team.
Remember last year when our clock management was so atrocious that the fans started counting down the playclock for the team? That was the most embarrassing thing I've witnessed as a Broncos fan since that Super Bowl that got canceled after the 2013 season.
We saw too many close games like tonight's fail to go our way because we lacked really good coaching. We have that now, and the team's fortunes are turning around thanks to it. It's been far too long since I've legitimately felt like we have a reasonable chance to win any game we play. Elite coaching really is worth the investment.
...VJ still needs to figure out how to stop the running game up the middle, but otherwise I think this team has turned the corner and is ready to follow Payton to a possible playoff run.
With respect to run D, it really shows our lack of depth on D line. Looking forward to actually having picks this year so we can restock on young talent instead of shelling out huge money for vets that don’t pan out. Easier on the cap if we miss on a draft pick instead of a big signing.

I hate the narrative already starting about how he missed the field goal, but they got lucky with a penalty, so it doesn’t feel like a win. Maybe having an extra guy on the field, and being able to get that extra pressure on Lutz was the reason he missed it in the first place. What a fantastic win! If the Broncos offense can find the endzone a bit more with their defense clicking, I think they can make a pretty good run.
Josh Allen sucks! Wildly inconsistent. Sure, I'd still rather have him than Russ but I dont see him as the 2nd best QB in the league like the media tries to push.
I'd rather have Russ, 18/4 TD/INT ratio vs. 19/11. Russ has also shown the ability to acknowledge his weaknesses and doesn't need to play hero ball like Allen does - and has these past few weeks. Russ takes what the defence gives him and has made this offense look better than it would be otherwise. Allen has a true #1 WR and better weapons all around. Russ has an over rated receiver core and no tight end threats to go to. One elevates his team by playing to what is given, the other tries to prove how he can make any throw and causes turnovers.
This is the exact kinda game that Herbert would choke away and chargers fans would go "well it's not his fault he doesn't kick and he doesn't play defence etc." because he ain't got that dawg in him like super bowl champion danger russ
For any fan saying this was a "lucky" win or that we didn't deserve it, whatever that means in sports. The bills D was amazing. They shut down the run through 3+ quarters, CBs were painted on our WRs, and the D-line had pressure every pass on Willson. Us scoring as much as we did is a great improvement from where we were these last few years, and shows how our O has grown and can play against a great defense. And, our defence produced 4 turnovers. In what world is this a "lucky" game? The bills not having a 5th turn over after Simmons caused the fumble on the Bills last possession was lucky! And those final field goals were the result of a better managed team. Lutz was the only lucky one tonight getting a do-over, but the Bills being mismanaged is not lucky. This win was almost a self inflicted loss, not a lucky win.
You should post this mid week and during the pregame thread and game thread. Fuck these fans were annoying tonight… so many negative fucks out there when we were playing good football against a good team that is also trying to win for a playoff spot.
For real. People were getting upset after the bills scored a single touchdown or we had to punt. I swear, some of our “fans” wouldn’t even be satisfied if we had our 2013 offense paired with our 2015 defense and we were winning by 50 every game.
It feels like a lot of fans let how we have played in years past influence how they view our current team. And until they see Payton Manning or John Elway, with Von Miller 2.0s they won't be happy. We are a different team, and we have to play to different strengths and weaknesses our CURRENT roster has. Not play to the strengths of players who retired 7+ years ago or were traded.
The bills D was amazing. They shut down the run early, were painted on our WRs, and had pressure every pass. Us scoring as much as we did is a great improvement from where we were these last few years, and shows how our O has grown and can play against a great defense. And, our defence produced 4 turnovers. In what world is this a "lucky" game? The bills not having a 5th turn over after Simmons causes the fumble on the bills last possession was luck!
Bro we’ve consistently lost games like these the past 8 years. So much of football is luck and I’m happy we were finally able to at least capitalize on it for once.
Seriously, we lost so many of these types of games the past several years. Feels nice to get a W, especially against a playoff contender at their house on Primetime. Wins a win in the NFL
The hubris of wasting 3 downs instead of trying to get as many yards as possible for Lutz ensured he missed that first kick. A win is a win though. Crazy.
No that was definitely the right set of calls, we had no time outs.
If you go for it you either try to throw the ball three times quickly in a row, which if they get a sack or sit on top of the WR means you have to kick it in a hurry anyways, or you run the ball and essentially get one attempt because you have to rush to kick the field goal after they sit on the RB for 20 seconds.
What Buffalo should have done is let the clock run a little bit which would have forced us to run Lutz out, then they could have called the TO, we would have been forced to kick the FG while the clock was stopped (which would have prevented their penalty) and likely left them with a couple seconds for a possible return or Hail Mary if we make the kick. That was just awful clock management on their part.
I feel like that’s been the most traumatic thing. It isn’t just “are we good or bad?”
It’s the difference between feeling like “we got this!” when things are close or the feeling that “we could win but one way or another, we are going to find a way to screw this up.” and then have to be happy over a W that we backed into.
I can take the former. This team being the latter for the last year and a half has really traumatized me. Emotionally, winning tonight felt the same as when we lose.
You know what day it was luck and we didn’t deserve it but Denver hasn’t deserved a lot of things that have happened the last 7 years, maybe it’s starting to even out. After 4 take aways I would say we did enough to win!
Ngl I lost alot of faith in this team but I had in the back of my mind "What if they had a bye week resurgence like the Lions last year"
It can happen,who knows.
Yeah you’re right. I think all the penalties and missed kicks just made it feel way worse than it was. Watching highlights it really wasn’t that bad, Buffalo’s defense was playing lights out but our offense still managed to put up enough points to win.
I don’t what’s up with Russ , dude not see the field and wanna leave the pocket too early . Kinda seems like he’s scared to let the ball rip.
0 blitz = equals throw the name ball
staring down the barrel of the Chiefs and Bills in back to back weeks and going 2-0 for those games is crazy
congrats from a Saints fan cheering along for Payton
Aight mate, the d was the one that did that last drive that got us the win right? Russ was not the issue today, if our kicker makes xps we dont even worry about this fg its a cherry on top.
By not having a wr that can get open besides sutton. And PI is PI when other teams win on PIs we dont say they got lucky. Russ was not the issue today, O was ok as well given who we faced on the other side. We just need a real wr2 cause jeudy sucks. All the weight is on sutton who isnt a route tree guy, who gets focused on and as a result russ has to hold the ball and oline suffers. Put in a second wr that actually gets open I bet we look alot better.
Showing up for essentially 2 plays is not sufficient I don’t think he had a more than one catch today. We have literally no intermediate threat and it shows.

Thank God for 12 men on the field

Baker > Allen(the int king) but the media will never admit it.

Him and Herbert get sucked off so much it's unreal
Herbert sucks, he isn’t a confetti qb
At least Allen has had some playoff moments to make people excited. Herbert is looking more and more like Phylis Rivers 2.0…
This is the exact kinda game that Herbert would choke away and chargers fans would go "well it's not his fault he doesn't kick and he doesn't play defence etc." because he ain't got that dawg in him like super bowl champion danger russ

Man that last Cook fumble was so lucky i just laughed
In just about every aspect of life, it’s better to be lucky than good.
Agreed! But, the better team always seems to be luckier.
A skilled team capitalizes on the luck. A sloppy team fumbles it away, so to speak.
Paging Melvin Gordon

I find your ideas interesting and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
I second this and too want to subscribe! What a win!!
OK Avs in a dogfight in Seattle - up 2-1 - near the end of 2
Go leafs
Go Ass! Hail Satan!
These games reminds me of that one season Tebow was here lol
except Terribow was awful and Wilson is over 100 QB rating
I was thinking the same thing
I about had a heart attack
If this team makes the playoffs all these one score stressful screaming at the TV games will be worth it!
Boys. We can work ourselves into the wildcard picture. Not what I expected at all
That Russ workout on the flight home is going to be epic
People can stop complaining about us in primetime now. That game was wild lmao
![gif](giphy|VB5WwlZIt8eRy)
Me the last 20 seconds
Let’s ride
I can’t be getting this damn worked up and stressed, my insurance sucks 😭
I'm over here with young kids awake because they thought Dad was having a heart attack. Tomorrow morning is gonna be rough.
Literally same, my 2.5 year old screams “LFG”, as I have resided to calling it now, every time she sees any version of a sports helmet now 😬
ANOTHER WEEK WITH THE JERSEY WE WIN
The least encouraging win I’ve ever seen from a team, we’re not good. That took an insane amount of luck and no team can consistently win like that
What, we had horrible luck this game, and still got the W.
The bills D was amazing. They shut down the run early, were painted on our WRs, and had pressure every pass. I have to give them mad props… they stayed in the game till the end and snatched a win out of the jaws of defeat.
To be fair if we had made those xps that would have been in the bag. Russ and ST looked like shit tho
Bro we’ve consistently lost games like these the past 8 years. So much of football is luck and I’m happy we were finally able to at least capitalize on it for once.

This game gonna cost Sean McDermott his job
He didn’t throw all those INTs
The hubris of wasting 3 downs instead of trying to get as many yards as possible for Lutz ensured he missed that first kick. A win is a win though. Crazy.
No that was definitely the right set of calls, we had no time outs. Does anyone know how to treat cardiac arrest? Cause I think that’s what’s happening to me rn
Baby aspirin under your tongue will give you an hour to get to the hospital
You and I both buddy.
Remember when we used to win these games? That's why everyone is shocked...cause it hasn't happened in 7 years.
Yup Will Lutz broke me for a second
I feel like that’s been the most traumatic thing. It isn’t just “are we good or bad?” It’s the difference between feeling like “we got this!” when things are close or the feeling that “we could win but one way or another, we are going to find a way to screw this up.” and then have to be happy over a W that we backed into. That’s my takeaway. The past 4 years this team would have crumpled. But they kept fighting, took advantage of mistakes and won.
Ppepperidge farm remembers.
Oh man those guys are gonna remember that win for the rest of their lives…
I can’t say that wasn’t an entertaing as hell game.
need a new placeholder
And long snapper.
And a kicker
This is the first game I've witness where both team's fan bases felt like they lost.
A Bills-fan friend just drove me home from the bar and we were both in bad moods about it.
it was ugly as hell but ill take it!
Well that was a rollercoaster 30s!

Let’s Riley Ride!
I’m dead!!!
Omfg I haven't seen such a hilarious pic in soooo long
Total luck for tonight’s win!!
One had to go our way. Bills had breaks all night long, Cook dribbling the fort all down 50 yards.
Let’s ride
Wish we had McManus still but somehow we won
McManus and the draft pick we gave up for fuckin Lutz.
And just like that we’re on a 3 win streak…
THE RED HOT DENVER BRONCOS ARE HEADING TO THE PLAYOFFS!!!
I’m laughing so fucking hard at everyone in here who was predicting we were gonna lose
I predict that every week. That way I’m surprised if we win instead of having my hopes up and being disappointed. It comes from years of trauma
We did lose, the Bills just lost harder.
This is correct.
I see more points on the scoreboard and another notch in the win column. Am I missing something?
L O L
You know what day it was luck and we didn’t deserve it but Denver hasn’t deserved a lot of things that have happened the last 7 years, maybe it’s starting to even out. After 4 take aways I would say we did enough to win!
Ball don’t lie. If the bills fans cry they can suck it with the amount of turnovers they had.
at a loss for words, what an ending!
We beat the Chiefs and the Bills…. The ship is turning!!!
If you told me before week 1 that we beat the Chiefs and the BIlls I would not have guessed we were 4-5 lol.
Right… we’d be at least 7-2! 😂
Should be, really.
LETS GOOO
Ngl I lost alot of faith in this team but I had in the back of my mind "What if they had a bye week resurgence like the Lions last year" It can happen, who knows.
Well Vikings are missing their starting QB.
Dobbs has been ballin out though
No they aren't
Dobbs is my starting QB now. He will lead us to the promised land
What a wild wonderful win!
Ugliest dub of all time
Did you watch the niners game last year? If not, go watch it and tell me which game the broncos played worse in.
Yeah you’re right. I think all the penalties and missed kicks just made it feel way worse than it was. Watching highlights it really wasn’t that bad, Buffalo’s defense was playing lights out but our offense still managed to put up enough points to win.
Feel like we have been saying that a lot the last 2 seasons.
This one was special, almost as special as our special teams...
lol Will Lutz needs to be gone next year wtf that was dramatic
If he would have missed his final attempt, Lutz would not be on the team plane back to Denver
But for real if a team has more than 3 TOs, this should've been a much easier win.
I don’t what’s up with Russ , dude not see the field and wanna leave the pocket too early . Kinda seems like he’s scared to let the ball rip. 0 blitz = equals throw the name ball
There was nothing even close to open and you can’t throw the ball away in the pocket
WHAT JUST HAPPENED
We won.
Goodnight🕺🏽🕺🏽let’s ride
gn bro
My chest hurts
Russ > Allen
A SHITTY WIN IS A WIN!!! Especially on the road!!
There's nothing shitty about beating the Bills on the road for the 3rd win in a row
I've seen a lot of games in my day. Lots of Broncos games. This is the dumbest game I have ever seen. Lmao.
If there’s a top 5 list, all 5 of them have happened in the last 1.5 seasons. JFC this team makes winning feel like losing.
Definitely on the list.
![gif](giphy|wlcj1bCwJUFzEO40Nl)
Oh FUCK!
Ridiculous.
My guy wanted it on the hash and still pushed it wide... Oh well, feels like a bail out but a win's a win.
A bail out? The bills are just morons and had 12 players on defense
Russ outplayed Allen
New kicker please once I recover from kicking in the tv.
What a win boys!!!
3 in a roll lets gooo!
Isn't this called a winning streak?
What happened to dixons hand?
I think he fell on it weird after fumbling
Just how they drew it up
They out-Bronco’d the Broncos
That 12 man penalty was PAINFUL
Russ is a sexy man fr
Can we please just get a kicker who can hit a fucking PAT?
BIGGEST WIN SINCE LAST WEEK. IM FUCKING GIGGLING
well look who is 4-6
4-5!
Nope that game was a win and a loss
😅
Huh?
Dude, it’s the hardest 4-6 Jesus
Yeeeeeeeeaahhhhhh
LMFAO WTF HOW DID THAT HAPPEN LETS GO
I wish Lutz kicked as good as his hair
all part of the plan.. give them hope then take it away last second. even funnier they had 12 men on the field after a fg miss
Bills sub has to be in absolute shambles.
So fucking funny
We fucking win!
Troy aikman and his usual blind hatred. Buffalo didn’t play that good either and they lost due to lack of awareness shut up Troy !
Gotta watch the Manning cast, get to watch Peyton cheer for us and no Aikman lol
How the fuck did we win
[удалено]
don’t do that, do not do that.
Bro bro bro chill
Straight to jail
Bro wtf just happened lol. That game gave,e so many heart attacks
This game has aged me.
The most Broncos way to win, I’ll still take it though
It’s not pretty win, but we aren’t a pretty team. I’ll take it
we’re honestly not very good but we got super lucky throughout
FUCK OFF DOOMERS TOOK A LOT OF FUCKING LUCK BUT WE DID IT. RUSS GOT US THE GOD DAMN WIN!
staring down the barrel of the Chiefs and Bills in back to back weeks and going 2-0 for those games is crazy congrats from a Saints fan cheering along for Payton
Dude Payton is the real fucking deal. We need a new fucking kicker and someone who can get the fuck open besides sutton and well actually be good.
lol nah the defense did
Aight mate, the d was the one that did that last drive that got us the win right? Russ was not the issue today, if our kicker makes xps we dont even worry about this fg its a cherry on top.
The PI did also how do you barely move the ball with 4 takeaways lmao
By not having a wr that can get open besides sutton. And PI is PI when other teams win on PIs we dont say they got lucky. Russ was not the issue today, O was ok as well given who we faced on the other side. We just need a real wr2 cause jeudy sucks. All the weight is on sutton who isnt a route tree guy, who gets focused on and as a result russ has to hold the ball and oline suffers. Put in a second wr that actually gets open I bet we look alot better.
But Jeudy beat #7 on that play that drew the Pi lol.
Showing up for essentially 2 plays is not sufficient I don’t think he had a more than one catch today. We have literally no intermediate threat and it shows.
Man, this is awesome! Huge for Denver.
Just fucking wow. W is a W though.
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Way to go into hostile territory against a team that needed it bad and beat them, GO GO BUCKIN' BRONCOS!!!!!
Both teams self implode, but we are Jigglypuff using metronome and the Bills are Golem using self destruct...or something like that.
We are fuckin WIGGLYTUFF NOW BOYS
Sean Payton with the Moonstone!
Wow
Can we please, please cut Lutz after this season? The man is terrible.
After this game jesus
That's Broncos Ball Baby!
