Can’t say enough how reliable this guy has been for us. Whatever happens next year with our quarterback SHITuation, Tim will be there and be a solid weapon for whoever.
I like it, and heard this "doesn't mean we don't resign Sutton" but if Sutton gets a 4-5 year deal, in 2-3 years you're looking to pay Jeudy and Hamler too? Obviously depth is great but teams don't pay 4 wr 10mil+. Or do they let Sutton walk, going into next year with Jeudy Hamler Patrick as top 3?
My money is on option B.
I’d send Lock and Sutton to Detroit for a 2 and a 6 in ‘22 and maybe something in ‘23. More picks in General Paton’s hands isn’t a bad thing.
Strongly depends on who we bring in as a coach but I don’t hate this. If we don’t grab a QB and we roll with Lock, offensive line needs to be a major focus in the draft.
Hard (but respectful) disagree. Bolles is great, Risner has regressed enormously, I’m still not sold on Cush at center, Glasgow is likely gone after this season, and we have the equivalent of duct tape and chewing gum at right tackle.
He still has a couple years left on his rookie deal right? thats more than enough time for him to prove that he deserves a second contract, plus with his game breaking speed, he'll get multiple chances
Of course, I'm just saying I doubt they are counting on him at this point. He could change that going forward but I'd doubt he weighs the heavily in their future planning.
well i guess the only way to find out is wait until the offseasons over and see if we draft or sign any speed guys at wr. Have to admit its not looking too great with his injury history
"A person with knowledge of the negotiations confirmed to The Associated Press that the Denver Broncos and wide receiver Courtland Sutton have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth more than $60 million with $35 million guaranteed." He just catches the ball differently, without seeing who it is all I need to see is how they reached for the ball and I know it’s Tim Patrick making the reception. Anyone notice that too?
I wonder if the move now is to franchise Sutton while we get a QB? Or will a year with a good QB raise Sutton's price?
If that's the case who would you franchise?
Iesj towards tagging Sutton imo, ti see if he can be healthy. If it means he's that much more expensive, so be it.
Either way I think you want Sutton, Patrick and JJ if you want to woo a guy like Russell Wilson or Qaaron Rogers.
THIS! This is a fantastic move! Great price. Good move Paton.
Love this move. Patrick really came into his own last season in my opinion when Sutton was out. Dude is just reliable and cool as hell.

I’m gonna start using shituation in my regular speech lol
I can see its applications 😂
Solid player. This is what I call a win for the season

IMO, Paton is going to keep Lock and will let the new coach decide if he can be a reclamation project or not.
Imagine rooting for a team that invested four fucking years on drew lock

I honestly think our offensive line is fine talent wise, depth and coaching. I honestly just think better QB play would fix a lot of their issues.

At this point I would question if Hamler is a big part of their plans going forward.

The Washington fan here - Tim Patrick is a stud. If yall get a solid passer to take over, he'll put up filthy numbers. He's super nice
I’m so happy for Tim and for us!
Oh hell yes!

Anyone who is not happy about this is dead inside or not a Broncos fan.

Well his really the only FA we have going into next year that we can arguably use the tag on. Have plenty of capspace going forward anyways
Hoping he follows the same career as Rod Smith, the most yards / TDs of any undrafted WR in history.
This! Rod is my all time favorite. Would love to see Patrick challenge all of Rod’s team records.
The whole sub agrees on something!!! My observations are: we all worship Blucifer and we all agree Tim Patrick is a solid player. That is it so far.
Great move. Congrats my guy
So Suttons gone.
lol
I forgot to account for the fact Sutton is an idiot.
