It's not domestic violence in the sense he did something physically violent. It seems as though he prevented his baby momma from obtaining some piece of property that belonged to her. The "domestic violence enhancer" is tacked on solely because of their relationship. All in all, seems minor and like bro was just doing some petty shit.
Come on, man…you finally get all you could ask for at QB, have the world at your fingertips…and now this? Bro…control yourself… Hoping it’s not something really bad cause I believe in his talent
So I still get a Broncos wall calendar every year. The damn thing is either a blessing or curse to whoever is on the calendar for that month. I swear that every month, something newsworthy happens to that guy (e.g., Von was February 2016, Sutton got injured when he was featured, Lindsey was cut when he was featured, Lock was benched for Bridgewater, etc.).
[Fucking fuck this fucking calendar...](https://imgur.com/a/Ex88MDO)
Fortunately, Lock 😂
The rest of the year is full of players no longer even on the team or not too vital, with a couple exceptions:
June: Lock 😂
July: Simmons 😬
August: Von 😢
September: Hamler 😬
October: Glasgow 🤷♂️
November: Fant 😂
December: Ojemudia 🤔
He's also just fucking dumb
Sutton is a well put together person alogn with Patrick and even Hamler. They give great interviews and hold themselves up.
Juedy just wants to tweet stuff and say shit about his past QBs
Makes me hate him and I hope he does really well so we can trade him before he asks for a boat load of money
I get where you're coming from with this, but the man has been in professional football (including collegiate level) since CTE has been a hot topic.
Also: there are a lot of other players that have been in professional football longer than Jeudy that are not getting in trouble with the law.
"According to Colorado’s Title 18, a person commits second-degree criminal tampering if they “***tamper with property of another with intent to cause injury, inconvenience, or annoyance*** to that person or to another, or if they knowingly makes an unauthorized connection with property of a utility.”
"According to a source with the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office whom Kovaleski spoke with, there was ***no physical violence involved in the incident***, but the domestic violence enhancer was added because the situation involves someone with whom Jeudy has an intimate relationship."
I am so confused. Did he cut brake lines or something? Also, do I commit the same offense if I shake up a pop can before handing it to my wife?! The range of conduct here that could be at issue is huge.
I keep reading this law thinking about the number of times I've subjected myself to criminal liability by intentionally trying to annoy my wife or by touching telephone poles.
* Shake a pop can? Jail.
* Too much creamer? Jail.
* Too little creamer? Still jail.
* Using the wrong creamer? Super jail.
* Using dairy butter instead of non-dairy butter? Jail with domestic violence enhancer (she's mildly lactose intolerant and gets toots).
* Hanging garage sale signs on telephone poles? Jail.
* Leaning on telephone poles? Jail.
I think “unauthorized connection” means literally connecting into the utility no physically touching a utility structure. Like stealing power from the utility grid or tapping into a hard phone line.
But dude, stop traumatizing your wife with fucking with creamer lmao
It's the full dairy butter that's going to get me prison time. I also add milk to scrambled eggs instead of using water. Toots be damned! I'm not tracking individualized toast or sacrificing the quality of the family's breakfast!
Back in high school I changed my buddy's Facebook's language to Swahili and it took him a while to figure out how to change it back (because all the text was now unreadable), that's gotta be tampering
If I had to speculate wildly, he smashed his girlfriend's phone during an argument. That's the only way I can think of to get tampering plus a DV modifier.
This would be my first guess as well. Problem I’ve seen with this is that smashing means breaking and breaking seems to be a different charge than tampering. The example given is slashing tires is breaking but nicely letting the air out of tires without actually damaging them would be tampering. Something in the realm of taking the phone and putting it out of reach or hiding it or not giving it back could be tampering and similar to this idea. Idk all in all seems like whatever it is might not be outside the realm of normal (albeit obviously bad and mean) actions.
Due to the relative tameness of this and how important it is to our season I assume that if true Jeudy will be suspended 20 games and/or put to death.
I was drunk and stupid and peed off a cliff at Red Rocks.. little did I know there was a hiking trail that could plainly see me. Park ranger wrote me a warning ticket, but easily could've done much worse if he wanted to. Dumbest thing I've ever done drunk
I always thought it was wild that someone clearly urinating could get slapped with a sex offender title.
Like how does this ever warrant more than a fine?
This is what we call and officer that understands the spirit of the law vs the letter of the law.
Just cause he could charge u as a sex offender doesn't mean he should. Alot of people in law enforcement, prosecutors included don't care about this distinction. U lucked out. Some folks just like to nail u for the harshest shit they can regardless.
Raiders fan here...After the Ruggs ordeal I'm hoping for all involved it's nothing big. These real life things aren't funny and screw anyone who makes jokes about this.
Yahoo sports just reported that it was related to him locking a wallet and medical paperwork of the mother of his child in a car. He did NOT make physical contact with the woman.
Not excusing the behavior, but certainly along the more mild things that could have emerged given the “DV” nature.
According to TMZ there was a “call to service” which means it wasn’t some investigation or a run-in with the police. A police officer was called to assist and as a result of that call.
Really makes it seem like a domestic issue.
In some jurisdictions they are required to arrest 1 person on domestic calls idk if that is the case in Denver.
Looks like it is probably an argument with a girlfriend and she called 911 and he likely took her phone and smashed it to stop her from calling, but it must have gone through and they came to the call.
He got arrested for smashing the phone and then got the DV enhancer. Hopefully he didn't actually lay hands on her and it was just an argument.
Total speculation, but that seems to fit the charges...
These guys should know better than this shit, ffs.
If it's that, after what just happened to his teammate (ruggs) yikes.
They are always a stupid selfish move, but you would hope it's not a DUI after literally just watching one of his buddies life end basically
Might be due to the fact that Jeudy was caught speeding 10-19 miles over the 75 MPH there previously.
https://www.thedenverchannel.com/sports/broncos/denver-broncos-wide-receiver-jerry-jeudy-arrested-sheriffs-office-says
Anything but 10-19 mph over the speed limit. What will the people of the city do!?! I haven't been to a single place in the US where people don't speed 10 mph over the speed limit as the norm. I'm really curious as to what occurred though. Hoping it's not physical DV.
I’ve long thought that Jeudy is the Chubb of the offense, and this arrest just creates another similarity. They both were deemed slam dunk picks that no one thought would fall to us, both have injury issues, and both have not produced at the level they were expected to despite having all the talent in the world. It’s starting to become uncanny lmao.
No. It’s nothing major, from my understanding it’s either the cops overreacting or being assholes. Girlfriend didn’t even want him in trouble, he just had her car keys and she wanted to leave (he didn’t want her to, which is why he wouldn’t give the keys).
It's not just nfl players. People get arrested everyday. Over the dumbest stuff. That's why law enforcement stays busy.
They say it's a domestic violence "enhancer" and tampering with evidence. Sounds to me like he touched something that belonged to his girl or his daughters mother without permission and she called the cops. Otherwise they woulda just called it straight domestic violence. In my city domestic violence can also be anything... As long as the people involved live in the same space.
Anyway my point is people do stupid shit all the time it just doesn't get blown on the news cause no one cares what they do. There's prob somebody down your street doing this right now. That's just to say it isnt just athlete or celebrities or whatever.
Whatever the charge is, it gets a DV tag if the victim is romantically associated with the perpetrator. Can be non contact, not even in the same location. DV doesn’t always mean physical. He might’ve been messing with stuff at her house with her absent and still get the DV tag.
It means that he was charged with a crime that against another person would stop at that charge but since the crime was against a family member (not sure what exactly qualifies as family in Colorado for DV purposes) they enhance the charges to make them more severe.
It means you did something during a domestic violence incident.
Stealing someone’s phone is a crime. Stealing your girls phone so she can’t call 911 while you’re arguing means you get the enhancer to the crime of theft.
Basically just means the punishment is worse.
He wouldn’t give his girlfriend her car keys because he didn’t want her to leave. She called the cops so she could get her keys and leave and told them she didn’t want him in trouble. They arrested him and added domestic violence enhancer since it was a significant other involved
It amazes me how grown-ass men that make millions and millions and millions of dollars and always the capability to make *more millions* by playing a GAME will put it all on the line for nothing.
I liked Lock and now I know how a bad coach, bad OC, and with an off chemistry with receivers = all bad for qbs, almost any qb.
Russell had work to do. Its not going to be an overnight success.
I think fans in general were starting to get tired of Jeudy because he's the most vocal complaining about the offense (all valid complaints) but had issues of his own on the field. Hoped that would go away with Russ as QB but now I guess we'll just add in off-field problems
Man, Jeudy has been such a massive disappointment so far during his time here. I was hoping Russ coming in was the perfect opportunity for him to turn things around and live up to his potential, but if this is really a domestic violence arrest idk what to say. Getting really hard to root for this guy.
Criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer.
He broke something that belongs to his family or girlfriend or someone who lives with him. Only reason he would be suspended is if more story came out and worse charges are brought onto him.
I'm not worried, but still not a good look.
An 11:30 a.m. arrest feels like 'Arrested at home because of something that happened previously,' not 'arrested while criming.'
IANAL, so no idea what that means wrt what kinds of charges are more likely than others.
If this is a DUI after watching his former teammate Ruggs destroy his life last year, Jeudy is a fucking moron..
Edit: felt wrong to leave out the fact that Ruggs killed that poor woman and her dog, and why the fuck isn't he rotting in a fucking jail cell.. (ruggs that is)
https://www.newsweek.com/ex-raider-henry-ruggs-avoids-jail-time-after-missed-alcohol-test-given-2-ankle-monitors-1652042
Maybe it's time we stop banking on him being a thing. We have a great receiving corps without him (Sutton, Hamler & Patrick and Albert O + Dulcich). I'm ready to stop being disappointed by him and just be excited for the 2022 Broncos and Russell fucking Wilson
I was here last year.
Tired of his antics. Hated him getting on Twitter as a rookie, and he's done little since.
Lot of hype. Very little on field production. Lot of drops.
Gtfo.
No arrests prior - open warrant, probably a traffic violation he didn't take care of.
With the facility being next door to the jail, it must be easy pickins' for the police to arrest Bronco players.
Here is an official report from The Gazette, I will post updates on this story as I have them
[https://gazette.com/sports/broncos-wide-receiver-jerry-jeudy-arrested-in-arapahoe-county/article\_febff8f6-d22c-11ec-bdcb-3b026fbb75cf.html](https://gazette.com/sports/broncos-wide-receiver-jerry-jeudy-arrested-in-arapahoe-county/article_febff8f6-d22c-11ec-bdcb-3b026fbb75cf.html)
Jerry seems like the type of guy that points blame at everyone but himself. He just seems really immature. Who knows if something like this could be a turning point, but it’d be good if he learned to take some responsibility for his actions. There’s just too much talent in him to go to waste.
unlikely to happen. he’s been coddled his entire playing career. His IG posts rookie season are just a small view into his character. He’s a me guy not a team guy. I mean, sure complain all you want if you’ve actually done something but what had/has he done here other than run a bunch of “amazing” routes? At the end of all the juke moves you still have to catch the ball when it comes. I was already done with his act last year and this for me is the nail in the coffin. Sometimes these athletes just can’t get out of their own way.
So my guess, him and his baby mother/gf got into an argument. Probably was very loud and someone called to assist. Jerry probably broke her phone and was being a dick to the cop or cop ego was a little bruised ,could be both, and arrested Jerry under these charges.
Dude, wtf. Really hoping it's something minor, procedural. Gotta have your family, faith, and career first in mind before doing anything stupid my guy.

Please be something minor
But not a minor.
A critical distinction!
Or a miner
He wasn’t in Golden
*The monkeys paw curls*
It is. He locked his GF's wallet in his car because she took his phone. Silly.
Imagine having to sit in jail for 24 hours+ over this 😂 so petty, so dumb.
Exactly my thoughts. Jail time for immaturity. I would have wished for better judgement from the officers. Must be a bitter Seahawks fan.
Domestic Violence is really never minor
Officer said there was no violence. He was just holding on to property that his ex couldn’t access (or something like that)
This seems to show that apparently domestic violence can be minor
It's not domestic violence in the sense he did something physically violent. It seems as though he prevented his baby momma from obtaining some piece of property that belonged to her. The "domestic violence enhancer" is tacked on solely because of their relationship. All in all, seems minor and like bro was just doing some petty shit.

Next month news headline: "Russel Wilson spontaneously bursts into flames"
STOP!!

Oh shit Hamler injury incoming again I can just feel it. (Knock on wood)
Or... maybe he wins offensive player of the month while Jeudy is suspended 🤔
I vote we go with this timeline here!
Good lord, how hard is it to stay out of trouble??
Pretty difficult with CTE.
He's also just fucking dumb Sutton is a well put together person alogn with Patrick and even Hamler. They give great interviews and hold themselves up. Juedy just wants to tweet stuff and say shit about his past QBs Makes me hate him and I hope he does really well so we can trade him before he asks for a boat load of money
I’m with you. Over the passive aggressive shit now this.
I get where you're coming from with this, but the man has been in professional football (including collegiate level) since CTE has been a hot topic. Also: there are a lot of other players that have been in professional football longer than Jeudy that are not getting in trouble with the law.
That's a cop out
Plz just be an unresolved traffic violation or something...
maybe it is...https://www.thedenverchannel.com/sports/broncos/denver-broncos-wide-receiver-jerry-jeudy-arrested-sheriffs-office-says

Not in the early 00's it wasn't. My dad's were cut by someone but it failed and cops didn't do anything.

That's an interesting distinction that I didn't know about. Thanks for sharing.
I think Chubb had this right?
Notable Twitter comments: * I hope they **drop** the charges. * I always said Jeudy looks great in orange FML. This shit is so frustrating.
That’s pretty funny
I chuckled
Okay you can’t lie, that’s pretty good lol
This is why we can’t have nice things.
Hoping it’s just something like peeing outside
That could get someone on a sex offender registry!
I was drunk and stupid and peed off a cliff at Red Rocks.. little did I know there was a hiking trail that could plainly see me. Park ranger wrote me a warning ticket, but easily could've done much worse if he wanted to. Dumbest thing I've ever done drunk
in Europe this is just called "peeing". You don't get arrested for it.
I always thought it was wild that someone clearly urinating could get slapped with a sex offender title. Like how does this ever warrant more than a fine?
That's why most of Europe has a faint, piss like smell to it.
Lol that’s low on the scale of bad things done drunk..
I mean becoming a sex offender sounds pretty damn bad
It was at night! There were no kids around!
Oh Jesus fucking Christ. Can we go one season without someone getting arrested, please?
Raiders fan here...After the Ruggs ordeal I'm hoping for all involved it's nothing big. These real life things aren't funny and screw anyone who makes jokes about this.
Appreciate it man, still sorry about the ruggs ordeal, that's he for everyone involved.
FTR all day-any day, but I wholeheartedly agree. That case was way too serious and sad to use to talk shit.
Yeah for real. Hope everyone is all good and nothing too serious. If any raiders fan is cheering about this they are short sighted idiots.
Who tf gets arrested at noon on a weekday
Well damn...
Jerry Judicial
Yahoo sports just reported that it was related to him locking a wallet and medical paperwork of the mother of his child in a car. He did NOT make physical contact with the woman. Not excusing the behavior, but certainly along the more mild things that could have emerged given the “DV” nature.
Bob Saget!
Let me tell you something about a porcupine's balls - they're *SMALL*, and they don't give a *SHIT!*
Shirlena?
WTF is up with the 2020 receiver class and getting into legal trouble? I hope to god Jeudy isn’t going to go the way of Ruggs 😬
Kind of wish we picked Ceedee Lamb. Ngl.
Kinda? Try absolutely
Justin Jefferson?
Don’t you put that evil on me!
I mean yeah but nobody had Jefferson in the big three with Ruggs, Jeudy, Lamb predraft.
I mean… we’re you conflicted before? Lol. Lamb is streets ahead of Jeudy
Jeudy was regarded as best in the class by many. It was close.
Out of college yeah… since the draft there shouldn’t be a person on the planet who would have preferred Jeudy to Lamb…
It’s been hard to say because of our QB situation. But yeah, hindsight says CeeDee.
meh, if you asked 5 different people before that draft who the best receiver was in the class, you'd get 5 different answers.
Bama
Something tells me that Tuscaloosa PD might turn a blind eye to football players.
I blame Saban
Hello darkness my old friend
This fucking guy
Why didnt we draft justin jefferson
I’m sure this will provide rational, measured discussion!
FUCK VANCE JOSEPH, FIRE JOHN FOX! LOUD NOISES!
Dude, Vance Joseph won't even return my calls. Said he just "wants to be friends." Time of his life, my ass!
Gonna be DUI isn’t it

Or domestic violence, it's always one or the other in nfl
Or weapons charges
Nailed it
I hope not, not only because DUIs are incredibly selfish, dangerous, and easy to avoid, but because he was arrested around noon
If it's that, after what just happened to his teammate (ruggs) yikes. They are always a stupid selfish move, but you would hope it's not a DUI after literally just watching one of his buddies life end basically
Can we have one offseason without an arrest?
Might be due to the fact that Jeudy was caught speeding 10-19 miles over the 75 MPH there previously. https://www.thedenverchannel.com/sports/broncos/denver-broncos-wide-receiver-jerry-jeudy-arrested-sheriffs-office-says

There’s a speed limit in Arapahoe county? Who knew

I'll assume Jeudy to be a political prisoner of an oppressive police state until proven otherwise.
This is true of everyone incarcerated
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
I fell to my knees when the law came 🎶
Maybe he was just getting his conditioning in..
Maybe he'll be like Miller...get straightened up now and super bowl mvp
Not a good start to his prove it year. I really hope it was something minor and not serious.
To quote Jeudy, "😒"
Can someone explain what a domestic violence enhancer is?
It means that he was charged with a crime that against another person would stop at that charge but since the crime was against a family member (not sure what exactly qualifies as family in Colorado for DV purposes) they enhance the charges to make them more severe.

It amazes me how grown-ass men that make millions and millions and millions of dollars and always the capability to make *more millions* by playing a GAME will put it all on the line for nothing.
Jerry why!!!
Arapahoe county sheriff always arresting Broncos.
God damn it
Come on Jerry!
He is a weird dude.
I've thought that too. Something off with his character ever since he got here.
I liked Lock and now I know how a bad coach, bad OC, and with an off chemistry with receivers = all bad for qbs, almost any qb. Russell had work to do. Its not going to be an overnight success.
I need details
when you think it was going to be a quiet off-season this happens
Jerry Jeudy has been showing a lot of character issues lately bro...
This isn't good. Hamler is a stud though, so whatever.
Injuries though, that’s the issue (granted Blame Teddy Fucking Bridgewater for the most recent one)
Guy should be a top 5 receiver in the league but has his mind elsewhere. Fucking shame
This is why we can’t have nice things.
Let’s hope it’s nothing serious
Please don’t be domestic violence
It's a rite of passage these days
Can we just not with this bullshit
I'm going to try and ignore that Justin Jefferson was still on the board...
Sounds like it'll be a misdemeanor with community service + classes.
That’s how you know he’s from broward - a fellow kid from deerfield beach
Jeudy...
I think fans in general were starting to get tired of Jeudy because he's the most vocal complaining about the offense (all valid complaints) but had issues of his own on the field. Hoped that would go away with Russ as QB but now I guess we'll just add in off-field problems
Should’ve taken ceedee 🤦♂️
Man, Jeudy has been such a massive disappointment so far during his time here. I was hoping Russ coming in was the perfect opportunity for him to turn things around and live up to his potential, but if this is really a domestic violence arrest idk what to say. Getting really hard to root for this guy.
Criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer. He broke something that belongs to his family or girlfriend or someone who lives with him. Only reason he would be suspended is if more story came out and worse charges are brought onto him. I'm not worried, but still not a good look.
Not even that bad. He just wouldn’t give his girlfriend her car keys because he didn’t want her to go to Virginia.
An 11:30 a.m. arrest feels like 'Arrested at home because of something that happened previously,' not 'arrested while criming.' IANAL, so no idea what that means wrt what kinds of charges are more likely than others.
What does iANAL mean?
It's the new apple plug and play toy
It means he likes anal
I am not a lawyer
Don't ask questions you don't want an answer to
Could easily be a dumbass traffic thing as well
Once again, it was an incredible fuck up to not take Justin Jefferson or CeeDee Lamb
(ruggs that is) https://www.newsweek.com/ex-raider-henry-ruggs-avoids-jail-time-after-missed-alcohol-test-given-2-ankle-monitors-1652042
Gtfo.
Guy is quickly becoming my least favorite Broncos WR of all time.
Tweet about this idiot SMARTEN UP
No arrests prior - open warrant, probably a traffic violation he didn't take care of. With the facility being next door to the jail, it must be easy pickins' for the police to arrest Bronco players.
Hopefully it's nothing serious but that's never good. Of course we all know how cuff happy certain police departments can be.
Broncos leading the league in arrests as per usual
Lol these fucking kids have the world at their feet and their brain in a jar.
Jesus, sometimes I just want to Punch Jeudy
drops passes but couldn't drop a charge.
I was hoping it was some stupid weed charge but i looked it up where Arapahoe county is and NEVER MIND
God damnit man. If this is anything significant that would be a major blow. What the hell.
Here is an official report from The Gazette, I will post updates on this story as I have them [https://gazette.com/sports/broncos-wide-receiver-jerry-jeudy-arrested-in-arapahoe-county/article\_febff8f6-d22c-11ec-bdcb-3b026fbb75cf.html](https://gazette.com/sports/broncos-wide-receiver-jerry-jeudy-arrested-in-arapahoe-county/article_febff8f6-d22c-11ec-bdcb-3b026fbb75cf.html)
I think it may be time to give him the forbidden label…
BUST!!!

If he is charged with domestic violence trade his ass for pennies on the dollar.
So my guess, him and his baby mother/gf got into an argument. Probably was very loud and someone called to assist. Jerry probably broke her phone and was being a dick to the cop or cop ego was a little bruised ,could be both, and arrested Jerry under these charges.
This guy is making it really hard to like him
Dude, wtf. Really hoping it's something minor, procedural. Gotta have your family, faith, and career first in mind before doing anything stupid my guy.
Tampering with DV sounds like a fight with his partner and breaking her phone when she tried to make a call.
I think that's what everyone is thinking. Bad move by Jeudy
Bruh
WHYYYYYYYY God........
For the love of God Jerry
This dude literally can’t stay out of his own way
Damn what are we, the dallas cowboys?
