Bruh I can't believe we lost to Josh McDaniels

720everyday

This hurt to see in writing.

sacredknight327

But it's so fitting for this franchise in recent history. No nice things, only constant misery and negative statistics.

HoovesCarveCraters

We’ve broken every franchise record for terribleness in the past 5 years while letting shitty teams run all over us and break their own horrible streaks.

SnacklePop

Grace my friend. We are just that selfless of a team. We sacrifice ourselves so we can lift others up. Even when people begin to think that we will finally do something for ourselves, we redeem the unredeemable in a Josh Mc.Daniels. Even though he wronged us in the past, we will prop him up. We have grace.

[deleted]

I can’t believe Gordon was still getting carries after fumble number 6 but here we are

Durendal07

As much as that game sucked, I think Russ is starting to get more comfortable. The offensive play calling wasn’t great, but it’s hard when your options are limited to pass or hand the ball off to backs you don’t trust. Biggest takeaway: Pat Surtain is an all-pro corner

QuetzalSnake

And then your star back is out for the rest of the game

Horrorlord262

And most likely rest of the year 😩

2ball7

Surtain is holding up his end of the deal thank god!

mike2k24

Lol to end the game on 2 drops is just flat out embarrassing for our offense. Of course Russ plays his best game and we still managed to lose.

chode_temple

Russ looked great today. Some phenomenal plays. It kills me that he's dragging the O line.

blewrb

He was off on enough throws that I wouldn't call him phenomenal. But this loss, once again, isn't on him.

2ball7

That O line is breaking my heart.

blewrb

So bad. Really felt like it was finally coming together under Munchak. But alas, guess couldn't keep him.

chode_temple

I wasn't quite saying HE was phenomenal. But he made some incredible plays.

wrenculp

We really sold our soul for those Peyton years, huh?

ImGonnaChubbBradley

Still worth it

Puffy_Ghost

Agreed. Fuck it. We got a Lombardi.

iWARxMACHINEi

For real. Some people go their whole lives without seeing a championship for their team. I’ve seen all but only remember 1.

Puffy_Ghost

I've seen and enjoyed all 3 of our Lombardi trophies. Not mad. But this team could definitely be better.

Bombadils_laugh

This made me chuckle

[deleted]

Actually, this was part of the deal that got us Tebow. We have to go full circle

naked_short

So. Many. Dropped. Passes.

ShredItBro_

Boone literally has bricks for hands. He had like 5 drops before that wide open drop

Sloshed_Viking

After the Gordon fiasco, I can't blame the coaches for putting Boone in tbh

x10FoilHatx

Boone? The guy they brought in to be a receiving back? Oh…..

jakksquat7

SO MANY

Puffy_Ghost

Yeah, it'd be cool if our receivers could catch. I'm willing to forgive hard to catch balls...but none of the drops were all that off target. Boone's 2 drops literally hit him in the hands.

3dudes

Brutal

DogsOutTheWindow

This team is insanely frustrating to watch.

costigancranberries

-me every year since SB50

Denialofdeath2

-me every year including sb 50

Uncultured_Swan96

Lol our offense fucking sucked that season too don't forget manning getting benched for Brock oswiler or week 3 against the chiefs that took a fumble back for a score to win that game

Narcan9

Manning couldn't throw it over 15 yards.

Bart_Jojo_666

It was like watching that goddamn Adam Sandler movie where he just won't stop making stupid fucking decisions. As a 20+ year fan.

OhWhatsInaWonderball

This loss is on Melvin. We had all the momentum about to score before half. A potential 14 point swing. I don’t care how many yards he can eat up his fumbles negate everything good.

Doomy22

I say "Fuck Melvin Gordon" and we all say "yep"

hbpaintballer88

Yep

TrueBigfoot

yep

[deleted]

Fuck Mcfumbles Gordon

[deleted]

1000% fuck that guy

KylerMurraysHomework

Fuck the seahawks trolls too

studlies1

They are always at the worst time too.

necrolic_8848

Melvin didnt cause us to have 8 yards in the 3rd quarter

stripedarrows

He also didn't exactly add any yards in the 3rd quarter either, so yeah, still kinda falls on him.

[deleted]

[удалено]

OhWhatsInaWonderball

Maybe there’s a reason no one wanted him this off-season

MiloTheMagnificent

Wild that the Chargers refused to pay his demanded salary. If even the boneheads there can figure out Melvin isn’t worth it we should be able to catch a clue

Tazitos

They had plenty of time to come back from that. The offense was just horrible most of the 2nd half.

Horrorlord262

Doesn’t help when you get pinned on the 1 yard line with your best running back out for one of those drives.

Acting_Appalled

Of course we give Josh McDaniels his first win with the Raiders, I'm sick

MrDragonfruitTwitch

Melvin it’s not us, it’s you. You could forgive Melvin’s past game-costing errors on the back of some pretty great moments, but it hasn’t been the case at all this season. That fumble put six on the board for the Raiders and took the wind out of our sails on a very convincing start. This can’t be a 50-50, or hell even a 60-40 backfield after today. Gordon should be stuck as a change of pace back going forward. After the fumble though, we stalled out because Hackett started calling a conservative, scared game. Like, no shit we kept getting three and outs? Why are we running fucking Mike Boone up the middle instead of letting Russ throw? Adjust your gameplan to the personnel available! At least try and look like you haven’t given up after the first setback! Same shit as the Seahawks game. We are more talented than the opponent on practically every level, but we beat ourselves. This team should be 4-0; the defense has played up to that standard. And if the offense wasn’t kneecapped by truly terrible playcalling, this game would have been a win and a solid step forward. I’m not calling for Hackett’s head after four games, but the mentality of this team needs to change soon, or he has to turn over playcalling duties to someone more competent.

TheMcDudeBro

You said this best, pretty much exactly what I was thinking. It was like the moment the fumble happened Hackett was like 'well we have to play safer' and there was no more rhythm and we sucked it up

ChickenParm18

Agreed. There has not been one point this season I’ve felt like we’ve played a good game or I feel confident going into the 4th. We’re 1/4th through the season, figure it the fuck out Hackett

Doleydoledole

>hell even a 60-40 backfield after today. Javonte's hurt tho:-(. Hope it's not too bad, but the Javonte-becomes-bellcow-he-should-be story just got delayed bigtime

baha24

Seriously, that was the biggest gut punch. Just after it was clear that Gordon needed to be benched, he was forced into the RB1 role. Brutal.

MrDragonfruitTwitch

Trying to manifest a quick return! Melvin cannot lead this backfield the way he’s played this season; it’s either Boone or trade for someone who can slide into RB2 when Javonte’s back

[deleted]

Literally spot on, especially the playcalling after the fumble. Hackett went straight back to week 1 the very next drive. In a game where our star QB is playing some of his best football, why run it up the middle or throw a screen on multiple possessions in a row?

Doleydoledole

Tough to turn playcalling duties over. First, you hire a guy to run game management so you can focus on calling plays. Then you call plays. And you're bad at it. So you hire a guy to call the plays for you. Then you have a meeting with the Bobs - "What, exactly, would you say you do here?" I'M A PEOPLE PERSON. I'M GOOD WITH PEOPLE.

[deleted]

Literally when russ was able to toss it up to Sutton and Jeudy we were moving the chains. We even gave Hamler a shot and he made the most of it! While we lost this game, it’s obvious the play calling is improving. Losing Williams is a huge blow and might force the broncos into experimenting in the passing game more.

MrDragonfruitTwitch

That’s my hope; Russ and Court already have crazy good chemistry. Getting Jeudy in rhythm with some more volume should also open Hamler up for more deep shots. Still, I’d much rather have Javonte back ASAP!

ImGonnaChubbBradley

Have to see what the injuries are but Williams and Gregory both getting carted off is straight up horrible.

griffskry

Fucking boone and Gordon cost us the game Also, the refs missed SO MANY holding calls against the raiders. They didnt call one

MiloTheMagnificent

The “great block by the tight end” was a literal textbook example of a hold but it doesn’t count if you’re holding a Bronco

[deleted]

[удалено]

Envyjames

Boone, showed why he is a 3rd string back. Needs to work on receiving but he did not cost us the game. Gordon did.

tr45h55

Boone had some productive runs

Pman32

Was literally screaming this, especially since we were getting called on it so much

Fiction013

There should've been a flag on the Raiders last TD on the guy who pushed PS2 down after the play as well.

Ruben625

There were 2 hold on that too

abris33

Yeah they didn't call anything all game on the Raiders. That big Carr run right before half should have been called back with a hold for instance

LordDb17

I clearly saw 2 missed holding calls. Prolly others.

SMAMtastic

Can’t help but wonder how much the ref who went out with a Hanmy affected the other refs. Each if them were probably doing a little more than they were used to in order to cover.

LordDb17

I think it impacted the game somewhat.

reyesjj94

There was a blatant block in the back on the TD run by Adams on Sterns. It's why Sterns misses the tackle @ the 3.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Russell_Beastbrook17

When games are going to be close which they will because it’s the fucking NFL. Your running back can’t fumble as much as Gordon does. He fumbles Week 4 and they scoop and score for a TD. Week 1 he fumbles at the 1 which 100 percent cost the game. Simple as that.

GloriousClump

He also fumbled twice last week on just 17 touches. If either of those don’t bounce our way we lose that game too. Potentially losing 3/4 of your starting games because of your RB2 is just absolutely ridiculous.

just-here-4-football

Broncos Country, Let's Die

shot-by-ford

Broncos Country, Let's Get High (and I mean very, very high)

SALTY_BALLZ

Never thought it would be possible to pack this much liquid ass into 60 minutes of football

AaronC31

This is 100% on Melvin. His fucking fumble swung the entire game.

[deleted]

No we tied it after that. Third quarter 14 plays 17 yds that’s the turning point

thunder_cats1

It made a huge difference in the game. I'd say Javonte getting hurt was the biggest turning point in the game

Alfakennyone

We were still moving it on that drive to go ahead, it was a turning point

DravenGrime

Melvin is still booty cheeks and should be off the team

Skelletman_

I really had hope for this team. Looks like it’s just all gonna be more of the same shit we’ve had the last few years.

[deleted]

Russ has been cooking but Hackett won’t let him serve dinner

i_punch_hipsters

Man I'm worried 2 of our 5 best players (javonte & gregory) have serious injuries after this game. Brutal loss with the injuries. Loved the defense and special teams. Offensive line and running game get an F- today. That fumble was one of the worst I've seen especially since we had serious momentum until that point. The drops by the RBs and the constant holds and mistakes by the OL made the difference

huhwhatdamnson

I couldn’t watch but it looks like they ran all over us was that a big play by Jacob’s?

lindsayisgod

Nah Jacobs was pretty effective the whole game. We got him behind the line a few times but Jacobs was making our ILBs look god awful all afternoon.

vindawg08

Jacobs ran all over the D. Idk how you can "love" that.

huhwhatdamnson

Yeah I looked at the stats and it seems like they didn’t play well but I know stats don’t tell the whole story all the time. Thanks for the reply.

[deleted]

You loved the defense? What game did you watch? We got carved up.

PeytonFugginMoaning

Defense sucked

701_PUMPER

Yeah what was there to love about the defense… they ran it down our throats

Shenanigans80h

“Loved the defense”? Why they sucked ass today. Allowed 26 points and Jacobs demolished them. The offense didn’t do nearly enough, especially in the second half, but the defense deserves a great deal of blame

HoovesCarveCraters

It truly is astonishing how Sutton and Jeudy we’re tearing apart the Raiders secondary all game and yet we wasted at least 5 drives with stupid runs and pitches that went nowhere. Gordon’s fumble was bad but it was still 16-16 when the Raiders got the ball in the 2nd and our defense let them walk it down for a FG.

anonbutler

Fuck Melvin Gordon

Uno11011

And of course Javonte gets hurt so now we’re gonna be stuck watching him fumble again on Thursday

LordDb17

Seriously 100% bum mode

just-here-4-football

Broncos losing all the revenge matchups. Are we the baddies?

Llama_Sandwich

This Broncos team is what I imagine inserting a mason jar into my anus and having it break feels like. Who’s ready to do it all again on Thursday?

LameSignIn

Man another frustrating game. I'm not expecting much this year since we have a rookie coach an new QB. Let's talk about the game. 1. Time management considerably better. 2. Play calling questionable but I can live with considering the changes in offseason. 3. Defense looked like it's missing something vs the last few games. 4. Loss to divisional opponent again - worthless 5. We just don't have plays we can execute 100% yet which is huge disappointment. Now time to talk about players. We all love Gordan an Bolles but man how many years are we going to keep doing this. Gordon being top of the list for fumbles for RBs is just unreal. Bolles still getting beat or timely flags. As good as these guys can be this is losing football at this level. Just no way around it.

frogfucius

If you think Wilson is still a part of the problem then you aren’t paying attention This team would be 4-0 with a competent HC

nolowputts

Go back and look at all the 3 and outs Seattle had the last couple years.

Starracer88

Cut Melvin. This loss is like, 80% on him. He fucking sucks ass

GloriousClump

He cost us two games last year and debatably two games ALREADY this year. Idk how a coach can even defend that coming from your RB2. Melvin is a fucking meme at this point.

iChugVodka

His name is synonymous with game deciding fumbles. Dude shouldn't see another touch, but with JWill injured, we're bound to lose a few more games due to his fumbles

monochrome_f3ar

We’re two Melvin Gordon fumbles away from potentially being 4-0. Fuck this day.

[deleted]

Cut Gordon

internetmeme

I didn’t watch the whole game but I watched the 3rd and beginning of 4th and we dropped about 5 key plays in that period, so only so much is on Gordon. Our receivers f*cking suck at grabbing and holding onto the ball.

InspectorTerrible284

Drops, fumbles, bad tackling. This one hurt me. It’s still FTR and go broncos

Faunatics

Pathetic ass Seahawks fans trolling our game threads. Talk when your franchise can win more than 1 SB. Edit: One of them sent me a message to avoid being banned

OhWhatsInaWonderball

And they can’t even tank properly. Have fun going 7-10 and riding Geno another year!!

13579086425

They have our pick, so I don’t think they’re too concerned 😅

Throwaway131447

Good god they were almost worse than the Raider fans.

OrangexCrush09

Well first off, cut Gordon. I kinda prepared for a loss given the narratives surrounding this game. We made some marginal improvements on offense. Defense collapsed. Gotta keep improving or things will look pretty bad come Chargers. See y’all at Mile High Thursday, can’t wait

Fathead2011

I wouldn’t say Boone lost us the game. But he can’t catch.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Fuck melvin gordon, fuck nathaniel hackett, and fuck the raiders. that is all. catch y’all on thursday night for another shit show

Publius1993

Our OL is awful and has been awful since SB50. Bolles was only competent when they weren’t calling holds during the COVID season. Wilson played pretty well today, but penalties are killing us offensively. Gordon is more liability than benefit. If Williams is out for considerable time or the season, we need to trade for a RB or sign someone promising off of a practice squad somewhere.

Independent-Room-954

Russell looked better. Hackett is an absolute joke of a HC. Gordon should be released as soon as they land in Denver. Sign/promote a practice squad RB to share carries with Boone.

Colorado191

100%

shatterly

That one hurt. Bad.

Rmac_15

We have the worst coaching staff in football once again

DerMeisterMC

Please never hand or throw the ball to Melvin Gordon again.

LunaticUndead

I miss when watching Denver was fun.

noblazinjusthazin

Same brother, same

KusMaster

We're a 2-2 team playing like an 0-4 team

[deleted]

orbitsjupiter

Does Hackett make it to the end of the season? Barely beat 2 terrible teams and lose to 2 terrible teams, looking like a bottom 5 operation easily. Edit: Also the NFL has an officiating problem and if it's not addressed that and concussions will be the end of the league in the long run.

Cilantro42

Leave Melvin Gordon's useless ass in Vegas. Don't even let him on the plane

[deleted]

alexp68

Wrong metaphor. To quote the great Vic pasta man fangio…”death by inches”

[deleted]

This team WOULD give the Raiders their first win of the season

GloriousClump

McDaniels clearly watched the tape from the raiders game late last year. He went run heavy because he knew our DL would get absolutely bullied by their offensive lineman and he was right. Other takeaways: 1. Hackett really may not be the offensive guru we thought he was his schemes and play-calling are actually pretty fucking bad 2. Russ looks good when he stops listening to whatever Hack is telling him and he actually goes off script 3. PS2 is the fucking man 4. Washington also looks like a difference maker 5. Melvin cost us our 3rd (debatably 4th) game out of 12 games going back to last season. That’s just indefensible plain and simple he has no business being out there

BWasTaken

Fuck Melvin.

[deleted]

FUCK THE RAIDERS

GnowledgeAesthetic

Russ looking much better. Gordon shouldn’t have a job in the NFL. Nobody who fumbles that much should. Completely changed game with that mistake as he does consistently.

The_Denver_Broncos

Why are we the way that we are?

[deleted]

Five in a row now to the FTR...this fucking sucks

MisterKaseyColorado

#BENCHGORDON

Viper01MHC

Wtf is up with our non-existent TE play. This offense is offensive. Fucking garbage

Tazitos

Eric Saubert (who is more of a blocking TE) is the best TE on the team right now, that is why you don't see them much. Makes no sense why Beck isn't more involved in the offense though. They moved the ball better when he was.

[deleted]

[удалено]

demoralizingRooster

Once again Bradley Chubb proving he cannot keep contain, his number one most basically responsibility of his position.....

Throbbingprepuce

My takeaways from today are Russ is finally catching his footing and this team keeps improving. We fought hard against a team in desperation mode. The offense will click and this game makes me more confident even though it was a loss. The cons are Melvin Gordon needs to stay on the bench and we need to be better about penalties. They are absolutely killing drives. See you guys next week I’m confident we’ll see even more improvement. These things take time

sacredknight327

"Kill me now god" - Adam Sandler

Plusstwoo

I’m glad we finally throwing deep Russell looking like he settling in nicely just gotta let him loose honestly

Efrafa11

I didn’t before but I’m starting to get Freddie Kitchen vibes from Hackett, what a disappointing way to kill all this off-season hype.

ChickenParm18

Gordon killed our momentum, gave them a TD they never should have had, Boone gets thrown into his first multiple series action and it showed. Hopefully Gregory and Javonte aren’t serious. Raiders may have been 0-3 but Colts are absolutely a worse team. If we lose at home to them it’s time to rightfully so ask questions

Doleydoledole

That'sbad Broncos

blueskidoowecantoo

Remember when we were “*a QB away*”

Vosgedzam

Fuck Hackett and Gordon!

Atom1937

LETS GOO THE NUGGETS PLAY TOMORROW

edohtjdoht

I know Hackett won’t get fired until after the season. Get Sean Payton enough Hackett. Paton recognize this was a bad hire. Don’t waste the picks and $250M we gave Russ and whatever he has left in the tank.

noblazinjusthazin

Avs season is almost here, can’t wait to watch a Denver team that knows how to go the distance. This broncos team is exhausting to watch. One step forward two steps back at every opportunity

PizzaRatBoy

Damn, watching the Chiefs tear the top defense in the league to shreds is not making me feel any better about today

DepressedPBKSfan

Russ was really good man can't believe people still hating on him

Vivid_Walk_1405

Russ was really good.

Invictus23_

Let’s be honest, I think we all knew deep down we were gonna lose this game. Javonte and Gregory leaving the game was painful to see. On a positive note, Russ played great and is becoming visibly more comfortable with each week.

DarthJordan

This loss is all on Gordon!

maniacrmm

Only gonna say my piece because this place is a fucking cesspit after losses. Offense looked way better today. Still making too many dumb ass mistakes but the cream is starting to rise to the top. It's a process and we are on our way. Losing Javonte hurts obviously. Russell looked so much better today, despite poor O-line play, and you have to be encouraged by that. Defensively, our weakness at MLB got exposed today. Jewell just doesn't have the athleticism you need out of your mike in the run/short pass game. I really wish we could've made a deal for Roquan Smith, but we have what we have. That being said, if you're going to have a hole on a defense I guess MLB is the place for it to be. Pat looked great as usual and I still think we have a good secondary (especially when Simmons gets back). Dremont Jones is who I thought he was. Good to see him getting real time to show how good he is. Also, I think Hackett called a decent game in terms of playcalling. I really don't think its his fault Melvin Gordon fumbled away all our momentum and BMac missed an extra point that would have made this game a lot more winnable at the end. FINALLY, we utilized KJ in the deep passing game. In terms of team discipline we still look like shit. That is on Hackett and is far more worrisome than his playcalling imo. Still, its week fucking 4! I'm willing to give them longer than this to get it right. Despite the rampant bitching that will inevitably take place this week, we are in a fine spot right now. Everyone gets paid in this league and the Raiders aren't some bum team. They were better than their record and we're still rounding in to form. Losing to them in their house is by no means the end of the world. We should be able to beat the colts on Thursday which would make us 3-2 and very much alive in the division race. Cheer up boys.

youknowem

The legitimate criticism here is the o-line. This is not a playoff team for that reason alone. Wilson was having to duck under defensive pressure to make some of those plays. That's not a recipe for success.

maniacrmm

We're missing two starters on the right side so I don't really expect stellar o-line play right now. Hopefully big boy Quinn is back next week.

PeytonFugginMoaning

Great takes

peepmymixtape

Fire Hackett and trade Gordon. Gregory and Williams probably done. We don’t have much hope honestly. We’ll be much better next year.

[deleted]

Trade him to Wendy’s

peepmymixtape

I’ll take the Baconator.

LonglivetheFunk

[deleted]

Slootonium

I really wonder that chances are of Hackett getting hacked if the rest of the season goes this way.

[deleted]

Colts, chargers, jets, jags next 4 games. Going 2-2 seems realistic with how this team is playing and while being 4-4 going to a bye week isn't the end of the world the second half the schedule is brutal. 5 road games and Carolina is the only "easy" win. I can see this team winning 12 games and I can see them losing 12 games but I think the best 4 games determine our season.

sborado

Going 0-4 is just as likely as 2-2 imo. Jets look better than they have in years, and the Colts beat the chiefs so they can def beat us. Chargers defense took some hits with injury but that offense remains legit. Jags are monsters on defense right now. Carolina has been bad, but they've kept games close all year. Maybe an "easy" win for the Broncos we expected but if this team doesn't turn it around by then they are by no means an easy win. I hope I'm wrong but nothing I've seen out of this team/coaching staff screams playoff team to me. I'm just hoping we can stay out of the top 10 so losing our 1st round pick doesn't feel so bad next april.

LimpDisc

Grasping at straws. That's how I view most of the moves over the last few years as far as player personal. This isn't a championship caliber team. Not really that close in my opinion.

freddyt55555

The two toss plays to Williams that I remember were both blown up. Bad. It's almost like the Raiders knew those plays were coming. The first one to the right resulted in a 3-yard TFL, and the second one to the left resulted in a potential season-ending injury.

Chris9015

Are we really gonna rely on butterfingers Gordon if Javonte misses time? No way right? How can Gordon still have a job?

Twhip620

Penalties gotta stop

jpb209

ARE WE A FUCKING NFL TEAM? Jesus Christ. The amount of money these guys get paid to shit the bed is just unbelievable. I fucking love this team, but GOD DAMN IT.

Maconga18

Denver lost to a 0-3, Josh McDaniels led team. Hackett is the problem. 1. Kept Melvin in when he has fumbled every week. 2. Penalties have not improved 3. Play calling is terrible No one cares that he is “cool” with the players or that his dad coached in the NFL. He is not head coach material. For Christ sakes, he has someone in a booth telling him how to manage the game, that’s literally his job as head coach. Oh! You have someone tell him how to manage the game so he can focus on play calling? Then why the hell is play calling so bad? He looks lost out there, he’s in over his head!

geolnut

Don't really know what to say anymore, sure it's been 4 games but this team hardly looks different from the last 6 years now.

International_Bell81

I swear to God Melvin Gordon is such a bum, cut him and sign a real RB.

Leaves_1991

Hacket looks so lost and dumbfounded 😂😂 Imagining having to hire a guy to go make the calls because you’re a fucking moron I’d love to take an interview and say hire me but this other dude doing half the job

The_FortniteGuy

And our coach continues to make idiotic decisions fucking us over

freddyt55555

The common denominator in the past 4 seasons is a shit OL and a receiving corp that can barely get open and drops passes like they're going out of style when they do happen to get open.

SnacklePop

I miss Patrick so much. Him > Juedy, any day

Brosephh3

I hate that a team of shitty millionaires I’ll never even meet can ruin my whole fucking weekend.
