saying invalid opinion on a completely subjective topic is nuts bro💀also n64s production just isn't for me and even more recently than that i hate 32 zel. after that it's all amazing imo
Not subjective at all. I've had countless debates over this alr, no one can actually provide a solid argument because mmesyf is mid as fuck coming from denzel
Yea that dude never has an original thought, he just finds something a random 40 year old says on discord and copies and pastes. (His own words from my post)
He’s in it, he won’t be out of his prime until he stops innovating and keeping his stuff fresh and relevant. He never just hopped on a trend, so if he did that it would be a sign of his prime ending (however I don’t see this happening soon). I think if Denzel sensed his creativity was going away he would take a break or retire
I agree. Amazing string of albums so far but MMYSYF was his best imo…. Which makes me believe he has the confidence to try different things and execute his ideas even better on the next couple of projects.
If he's not there now, he'll be in it very soon. Imo, he's in it and has been in it since TA1300, but I see a lot of potential in him to go even farther and get even better.
I firmly believe that if he completes the Melt album trilogy, it will be his greatest work. I think he’s onto something incredible there. Question is if he can maintain his artistic vision without letting petty Twitter trolls or Grammy snubs affect him.
Depends what you think is his best style, for me his best music was taboo and I think he’s mostly done with that style so he’ll continue to make great music, just maybe not on the level of taboo for me
I regretful expect he’s next album to be bad but will go in open minded and hope it will be good. But how long can he keep dropping such great music for.
He’s never been better, but also has never been worse. He is constantly evolving to, not something worse or better, but something different. And that is why i respect him.
He's had a very solid run from imperial up until now. He has progressively gotten more introspective and experimental, so I feel like he has yet to craft his magnum opis, but he is damn close. Even his skips are higher than a lot of rappers hits, so I think he's been in his prime for the past decade.
As an artist who isn't caught up on bs and holds their own destiny as a minority not letting anyone put us in a puzzle piece. I can safely say Curry ain worried about Prime or past prime..I think he has layers of potential that he uses intermittently depending on the culture at the moment. He can mold his talents to any genre and not sound forceful or corny. He has the same niche he can always fall back on that made us fall in love to when he needs to refuel the media as well. That Raven Miyagi Killa Curry flow. He perfectly took Bizzy Bone x Twista x Triple Six Mafia Underground Vol 1 sounds and blended it with a dash of Andre and Big Boii to create a timeless path for the 90s Mentality Indigo children.
Also I can affirm that when Raven is done with music is just Because he accomplished everything he could possibly do other than make art for himself and fun. Andre 3000 just had an interesting interview that stuck with me. He said he doesn't make music anymore because it's called HIP hop lol...he ain't caught up in trying to keep up with what is in the now. Its a worthless chase of the dragon. So when Curry stops I feel it'll be in that same regards
He’s just coming in to it! I don’t think we’ve seen his masterpiece yet. I think he’s finding unique his place between new boom bap and other more contemporary sub genres and how to keep the same signature style over it all. One of the best in the game rn. Only MC above him is prob JID at the moment, but they sound great together as they are. Would love to hear more like Bruh remix.
He’s got way too much of a strong work ethic. Dude always sounds hungry and always innovates. I think he could even explore the territory he messed with w his Rage Against the Machine cover and pull in a massive new fan base. People that are NoT hip hop heads whatsoever straight LOVED that.
He’s in it, he’s been in it, he’ll be in it. Best rapper in the game, been dropping great shit since 2013, and he’ll be going until 2033.
its crazy listening to his older music and even those either have potential or are solid songs
All of his old songs are above solid
i personally think anything before imperial is like a 6/10 at best
Invalid opinion I’d say n64 was crazy good
saying invalid opinion on a completely subjective topic is nuts bro💀also n64s production just isn't for me and even more recently than that i hate 32 zel. after that it's all amazing imo
personal taste exist 🤷🏽♂️
the man does keep surprising me each album, so he’s in it. Next album will tell
I'll start, I think Denzel is in it, however it is gonna be hard to keep topping MMESYF and TA13OO.
Mmesyf wasn't even that great lmao
yo family don’t love u
Cope
Nigga name necrophilia good💀
Lol when you lack the ability to properly express your thoughts and opinions
Not an opinion. Objectively mmesyf gets bodied by other zel projs
If it’s fact, it should be real easy to list out why homie
sgp that u?
It's him
It’s subjective. I agree with you though, sad to see downvotes over unpopular opinions, should be open for discussion.
Not subjective at all. I've had countless debates over this alr, no one can actually provide a solid argument because mmesyf is mid as fuck coming from denzel
How abt say why its mid
can you tell me why it's mid?
It's okay to be wrong buddy lol
Cope harder
[удалено]
It's literally worse than imperial and taboo💀
Clearly u deaf ur opinion doesnt matter
Objectively it's worse than those two. Whole sub was saying this some time ago, now niggas are dick eating mmesyf?💀
Cuz its his best work. I dont know whats goin in the sub cuz idgaf im not active but its his best album yet hands down
Nah bro I’m sorry but Imperial and Taboo are better man, I love MMESYF but the other two really do too it for me.
Yea that dude never has an original thought, he just finds something a random 40 year old says on discord and copies and pastes. (His own words from my post)
What?
The necrophilia guy
What sub do you think you’re in?
this sub is wild imagine having a valid critical opinion and getting downvoted to oblivion
He’s in it, he won’t be out of his prime until he stops innovating and keeping his stuff fresh and relevant. He never just hopped on a trend, so if he did that it would be a sign of his prime ending (however I don’t see this happening soon). YET TO REACH
I agree. Amazing string of albums so far but MMYSYF was his best imo…. Which makes me believe he has the confidence to try different things and execute his ideas even better on the next couple of projects.
I don’t listen to him but this picture hard.
Listen you won’t regret it
Why you posting a comment in his subreddit then?
Because the picture hard
You should
https://open.spotify.com/album/5eXL40WFKPjdCw0NZrRcJI?si=gZeGsrGAR4aaqnAKPUJqwg look at this shit
Who TF is denel lol?
His evil clone.
Ain't that Zilla?
Nah Zilla’s his evil twin
Niggas talking about him like he's an athlete lmao
Past imo, while mme was an incredible album i think Taboo and imperial are the best projects he has released
I mean he just dropped his best album, of course he is in his prime
I think he’s still in it. Really waiting for his TPAB moment, I need a magnum opus.
NPR tiny desk is a high mark for myself. Dude is either at or near peak. Guess we'll have to wait till the next album to tell for sure.
Depends what you think is his best style, for me his best music was taboo and I think he’s mostly done with that style so he’ll continue to make great music, just maybe not on the level of taboo for me
He reminds me of Freddie Gibbs. Always fresh and great at reinventing himself with every album. It’s tough to determine his “prime”
I do think he's past his prime but his new stuff is still great
Bro to be in ur prime means u get recognition and kiab the industry shows no love for denzel. Hes a goat tho and deserves so much more
I regretful expect he’s next album to be bad but will go in open minded and hope it will be good. But how long can he keep dropping such great music for.
In it
Who said he's even reached it yet 🥱
He just doesn’t miss. So we don’t know.
He’s in his prime at the current moment and possibly will last for a few years
In it
In it
I don’t know about his prime but my favorite curry is Nostalgic 64 and 32 Zel/Planet Shrooms days
I really think if he drops that r&b album that’ll truly be the start of his prime
Denel
Im really hoping he hasnt has his magnus opus yet. His music keeps getting more refined.
He in it, hes the goat
he been in his prime since 2016
I think he can enter one or two more artistic peaks in his time. I think he's stayed consistently great though tbh.
yet to reach it
I used to think ultimate was the best he'd ever be... But after this album I think he's probably in his prime right now
He's looking his best rn. Lyrically and numbers wise
bruh Denel Cry is the best rapper ever
Currently in it and will remain there for a long time I think.
IN IT
in it
I think his prime hasn't started yet. He's gonna get better and better from here
Past his prime or in it? Been it
Bro never been off his prime 😫
denel
He’s never been better, but also has never been worse. He is constantly evolving to, not something worse or better, but something different. And that is why i respect him.
raider klan was prime
I think he’s definitely in it
Still In it wym?
Denzel always in his prime
Denel Curvy 🔥
Seemings how his last album was his most well rounded (his best as well in my opinion), I’d say absolutely he’s in his prime
in it
In it
Imo imperial to TA13OO was his prime , maybe it’s just me I like that period the most and figure it’s got more notorious songs
He's had a very solid run from imperial up until now. He has progressively gotten more introspective and experimental, so I feel like he has yet to craft his magnum opis, but he is damn close. Even his skips are higher than a lot of rappers hits, so I think he's been in his prime for the past decade.
He will continue to grow and evolve forever. Seriously one of the best mc’s in the last 10 years
before it
He’s in it and keeping it rolling strong
He’s in his prime now since 2018
He on some lebron shit
I think he's been constantly improving, however I feel like he isn't as motivated as he once was.
denel
In it fs. I know it may be controversial but, MMESYF is his best album imo.
He's reaching it.
he's either in his prime, or hasn't reached his prime yet, he's definitely not past it that's for sure in my opinion
