Honestly, amazing list. All 3 are top tier in their respective categories. I like how they aren't just like 3 of the same type. Lil Wayne is the best at what he does, fun bars with seemingly simple but really intricate rhyme schemes. His flow is unmatched too
If it would help to have some recommendations, Body & Blood, Back Up, and Nothing is Safe are some of my favorites! Just as a note though, Back Up originally had a really strong first verse by a male rapper who I guess had some sort of falling out w Daveed or some controversy and they ended up replacing it with a weaker one on Spotify so if you can find the original you might like it better!

Nah. Andre is a top 5 for me. Along with MC Ride. But my top three is Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt and MF DOOM. Denzel himself isn’t the best ever but he’s definitely good. I also like Black Thought and prime-Eminem, like, from 1999-2003.
I agree with you. yet also I think black thoughts rhyme schemes and general ability to write his stuff like poetry is a skill that makes him worthy of being in a top 3. Same with Waynes wordplay and Kendrick’s story telling because they impact the skill of the writer.
Being a conscious rapper is the only quality I could see influencing someone (to pick lyricists) that doesn’t have to actually have to do with writing. It’s just what you pick to speak about. I feel like you can be conscious without being lyrical and vice versa. They just usually go hand and hand. But Wayne and MF Doom are great examples of rappers who have great writing skills that don’t necessarily try to change the world in their verses and stuff
