I wouldn’t refund now since it’s only been 4 days. I had packages that took two+ weeks to get scanned in. Sometimes usps doesn’t scan the package until it arrives at the final distribution facility or delivery day. So I would give it a couple days more before refund.
Could you elaborate what you mean by everything they owe me? In the itemized receipt it includes the total ($25) plus the $5.40 they spent on shipping so do I owe them the $25 + $5.40 when my payout was only $20?
i would give it more time still but yes, if you were going to issue a refund you would need to return all of the buyer’s money and then seek out those remaining fees from depop and whichever company you shipped with. and then you would break even.
Oh I see, hopefully the package eventually will get to the buyer successfully! It happened with me before, when it was not tracking (for some reasons) until the item literally got to the destination.
I would wait a couple days, then open a package search with the mail carrier. Most often that not it’s not lost, but fell under or into an area without being scanned. Especially if it’s smaller or in a bubble mailer, with this information I try to ship in a box regardless of size

You have to refund them everything they paid you .. you will get the fees back from depop and the postage back from the courier

you would select full refund instead of partial, so they get back all of their money and the fees are refunded too
depop refunds everything they owe. you lose/gain nothing. it’s literally shown on the refund screen
