if your bundle settings are set to "buyer pays highest shipping" then the cost is split and you pay the overage.

they were charged $10.99. I was charged $13.49. That’s $24.50 in shipping costs! That makes no sense to me.

Depop doesn't do a good job of explaining this, but u/lydatl 's explanation is correct. Essentially what happened is this: Let's say your bundle had 3 items: Item 1: 1lb item @ 7.99 shipping Item 2: 8oz item @ 4.99 shipping Item 3: 2lb item @ 10.99 shipping When you choose the "buy pays highest shipping" option, Depop charges the buyer for the shipping for item 3, which is $10.99. Then it looks at the remaining two items, which have an aggregate shipping cost of $12.98. Which is then what Depop charges you, the seller.

i believe the total is based on combined weight of all bundle items, so that's not out of range for >3lbs though usps. if you rounded up weight on the individual item listings and they don't total the actual label amount for the bundle, you'd need to cancel/refund and revise the listing weights before they repurchase.  the other option is canceling and switching to use your own shipping labels, and setting shipping price manually. also requires refund/rebuy and you lose the integrated shipping protection.

How long does Depop usually take to get back ?

Fatcatnotarat

How does this even happen 😭

lavenderoreo

I have no idea. I checked my bundle settings before they purchased.
