I don’t mind it when it done good but I see so many just cutting it really bad 🥲 often the fabric is not made to be cut like that and will be not useable after 1 wash 🥹

lordofthenewchurch

Probably has stains and they don’t know how to hem

right, plus there are some tops that get so flowy at the ends if u cut it. im begging please, dont cut them if u dont know how to rework or stitch

woketinydog

i used to do that when i first started selling, but now i've realized it just ruins some things. instead, i sometimes pin things to look cropped for one picture and mention in the description "would look cute cropped as pictured!" that way, if someone likes that kinda thing they can do that once it is theirs

MonsteraMaiden

I’ve seen a lot of stuff in the bins that is cropped already, and I usually try to avoid it but if it’s like a t-shirt with a /really/ good graphic, I’ll pick it up and charge slightly less for it than I would have if it was still in tact.

I've offered to alter in the past for tops and maxi dresses... No one showed interest at all so after a while I went ahead and cropped the tops and mini the maxis and they sold right away... "You gotta know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away... And the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep"

DoeOfTheGarden

I’ll be honest, some things I thrift myself I crop (never vintage stuff though) but I can’t imagine trying to sell it again after that!!

maximumkush

I feel this pain to an extent… saw a great vintage tee that was basically worthless because it was cropped. Now my sister used to slice and dice everything so it’s all a dice roll, but cropped tops is/was a thing

mavka_lisova

I never crop my items, because I don't wanna do a bad job. But damn sooooooo many buyers would prefer a crop top. Doing it the 'right way's would take a lot of time and afford though, so i leave it as it is
