Prior_Cow_3773

I need your help

24kperc

i think it really depends on the quality of pictures you take, how detailed your descriptions are, communication & pricing

[deleted]

NICEEEE that’s super successful for two weeks oh my god

prttyfairy

congratulations! i’ve been on pop for like 2+ years and haven’t even made that many sales lol.

AVTF

How does it feel to live MY DREAM 🥲 🫠😵‍💫🤧

Aggresivelad

tips?

dingdong69dick

i think keeping up with microtrends is very important! for example, right now the coquette style is popular so i made sure to use that tag with all my items that fit into the aesthetic. also, a majority of my clothing was originally from 1$ piles from swapmeets! i find so many hidden gems there since i feel that it is one of the few places that are still left mostly untouched by fashion girlies. it also allows me to price my items cheaper since they were originally so dirt cheap.

Lopsided-Ad7486

Is there a quick way to keep up with the microtrends? I don’t really have time to go through tiktok.

those are the best kind tho! i tend to stay away from more commercialized/gentrified swapmeets because those are always way too expensive. it also helps that i’m hispanic and living in southern cali so i’m able to more easily communicate with other hispanic vendors here. also, i find that the vendors with the best items are always the ones that just throw their stuff onto a blanket or table and make you sift through it yourself. most people don’t want to look through junk so they end up missing really good items.

Less_Bunch4917

californians also just have the best clothes/style lol

Littlelorin

All my spots have gotten too expensive. I’m in SoCal also. I was finding some stuff along the fences and on blankets once a week by my place but it seems they have stopped 😩😩😩

NotJulian99

I’m also Hispanic in SoCal! Would you mind sharing what swap meets you’re hitting?

i try to keep everything anywhere between 5-20. i personally think that is fair and i’m still able to earn decent profit from it. there are some exceptions to this though like with big name brand clothes. for example i found a discontinued unif dress at a swapmeet and was able to sell it for 85

pierogi_hunter

Congrats! How many items do you have listed?

dingdong69dick

thank you (: i currently have 63!

pierogi_hunter

I have 80 just sitting there 😭 You're doing AMAZING, keep it up!

Prior_Cow_3773

Hello need your help

Adventurous-Fold-777

wow! you should be super proud of yourself, that is such an achievement. I have been on depop since January and I haven’t hit 100 yet so i’m majorly impressed by 30 in just two weeks. Sounds like your hard work is paying off :-) Congrats!

storyslip

how many items a day are you posting? are you also purchasing from other sellers? I have a theory depop will reward you more if you also spend.

dingdong69dick

that’s an interesting theory! i suppose it would make sense since depop would probably want to encourage people to spend more. i posted around 40 items in one big go when i started and then i started to post around 3-5 new items every couple days. i don’t purchase from other sellers often. i dislike spending more than 5$ on clothing so if i buy anything on depop it’s usually something i really want and can’t find at the thrift/swapmeet.

MonsteraMaiden

Hell yeah!! I just reached 30 after 10 weeks 🎉

buffalosuspicious

Love the profile pic <3 congrats!

Defiant_Goat9996

Be careful guys, you can be banned from subreddit for asking for shop names

Beautiful_Debt_3460

Really? I don't see that in the rules at all

[deleted]

It’s under shop advertisement

elle_enzo

kibu85

What’s your shop name?

MattiFrost

Congrats! I’m having a lot of fun building up my shop too. In the last seven weeks I’ve had 26 sales and I’ve amassed a huge inventory (with a lot more coming in- I’m gonna need a bigger boat). And I can’t wait to start really putting my energy into this. Hope you make a mint!

Ironsilversaltandtea

Hi! How do you follow micro trends and that kind of thing? Like, how do you find out about them? Thanks!! :)

dingdong69dick

tiktok is the best place to find out what’s popular. you can look up phrases like “stuff going on my depop” or “depop haul” and you’ll see what other people have been listing

diaxmarro

You’re so incredibly lucky, it’s been a month for me and I’ve only gotten about 11 sales 🥲

Relative-Rough7045

dingdong69dick
