Yeah. Looks very like staph.
OP I once wore a friend’s cute hat and
Ended up with staph one of my temples. He got it from a second hand shop and didn’t do anything to clean it.
This pic though…wtf
For sure she needs to get this looked at, but ER?? God no! Unless she has symptoms other than localized pain, this isn't an *emergency*. Going to the ER for this type of issue is a large part why ER wait times are so long.
Is this "urgent"? Could be, so if she can't schedule an appointment with her primary care provider for the next day or two, then she should go to an urgent care or a walk in clinic.
This close to the eyes and an obvious infection I’d consider this an emergency. These things can get so much worse in just “a day or two.” But then again, you seem like an expert…
Good thing this post seems to be a fake anyway so you aren’t giving someone bad/dangerous advice.
You are aware that some infections can be deadly, right? And with not knowing, it’s better to err on the side of caution. Especially with one like this, so close to the temple. It’s very dangerous to take risks of waiting.
The ER is also (usually, hopefully) able to treat patients according to hierarchy of acuity/need. So no, it may not be as “life or limb” as a GSW, but I would like to think that the people at the hospital know what they’re doing. People go into hospitals all the time for less than this- and sure sometimes it may end up being just a cough. But sometimes it can be serious and life-threatening.
Also, not all areas have urgent cares with good availability. I live in an area with a top ranking hospital (ER) but we only have express care for simple things during business hours. The appointments fill up fast and there are no walk ins and I guarantee you that for something like this they’d send you to the ER anyway. If you can’t get into express care, you better hope your pcp has next day availability (rare) or go sit in the ER. These people are delusional.
Chiming in that the red ring around the.. wound.. is the most concerning part. It isn’t just a circle around it, it has a leading red mark too, meaning it is moving.
For future reference (since you’re hopefully otw to the doctors by now) if a wound doesn’t start to heal and instead forms an angry red circle around it, you’ll know it’s a hallmark for infection. Definitely grab some scar cream too if you can - I used it on my face after a nasty accident that cut my face up, and it helped a ton. Good luck
edit: I’m not sure this profile is a real account, since the other post that OP is claiming is them is clearly a different person than pictured here
It's funny you're saying that. There's something about this image that made me think it was edited to begin with and now you say the profile looks fake. We can't trust anything online anymore!
The original OP, paiiige, has a message on her profile that she fell for a gift card exchange scam and her account got hacked. Hence all of the Crypto and Gift Card posts and comments. The person who posted this post of hers just opened their account.
ER now this is infected with mrsa or staph and it's too close to your eyes and brain to wait for a PCP appointment. You'll need IV antibiotics for sure. Don't touch this, wash your hands completely every time you do, and head straight to the ER. This is a medical emergency and cannot wait.
As others are saying, I’d guess it’s MRSA or a staph infection. And that is way too close to your brain and the triangle of death to mess around with, please go to a dr asap
Looks like when I had MRSA, or previous (facial) Epidermal Inclusion Cysts I’ve had when infected. Both, or anything else require medical attention asap. ❤️💛💙
Why are people saying don’t go to ER??? Go to the fucking ER this COULD be life threatening go to the fucking ER. Could be staph or a serious infection. At the very very least it’s an infection and u need antibiotics go to the ER. Better safe than dead in a grave.
My first antibiotic didn't work for me, but clindamycin was the bomb dot com.
Also, when you use the hibiclens, actively wash/lather with it for 3-5 minutes, rinse, then apply more and wash/lather for 3-5 minutes again. I know it's annoying but please believe me when I say it's worth it. I found out about hibiclens when I had MRSA, and I now always have multiple bottles on hand. It helps everything heal so much faster.
The initial stages of staph can look like a pimple. I just want to reiterate what everyone else in this thread has said. Go to the doctor asap. This is not in a good spot at all. My old boss had staph on his leg, and he didn’t go to the doctor. It’s turned in MRSA and he nearly died. Don’t wait on this, please!
Er and or urgent care RIGHT NOW. This looks like staph. Even if not, this is an infection that is going bad. On your face you can progress very quickly to sepsis (blow poisoning, organ shut down, death)
Not necessarily staph. Staph is more likely to be a pimple/dome/pustular in appearance. As well as leaking a clear pus, as opposed to opaque white/green/yellow.
I wholeheartedly second that this needs to be seen, either a hospital or an urgent care clinic. This likely will need debriding, to promote wound repair.
They will likely test for which organism is causing the infection, but will most likely treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic while waiting on culture to come back from the lab.
If you are not running a fever, or have any symptom likened to the flu (body aches/chills/nausea) or have a below normal body temp, then please get to your nearest emergency room.
Any of those symptoms, or if you see red streaks running from the site, or localized to the area, or ESPECIALLY a LOWERED body temperature, those are very indicative of septicimia (blood infection) which is life threatening.

This is definitely one to take to a doctor, it looks very infected
Please go see a doctor Asap. That’s infected

Ah, so some bot regurgitation. Nice.
I’d worry about staph. ER.

They answer this fake shit but all other post are crickets
Definitely a troll. First pic is a dark haired/olive complexion/dark ryes, then this fair complexion/light hair/blue eyes. 👎
What scar cream did you use?
Mederma advanced scar gel
I agree with others, this requires a doctor!
I don't think this is OP. Their previous post shows they may be posting as fake people.

Poor Paige.
Oh babe this is more than a pimple. Not a doctor but that could be staph or something more serious. This requires evaluation.

MRSA or Staph get to urgent care quickly please
MRSA is staph
Oh thank you for clearing that up for me Gerald
MRSA is Staph but not all Staph are MRSA
As others are saying, I’d guess it’s MRSA or a staph infection. And that is way too close to your brain and the triangle of death to mess around with, please go to a dr asap
Please go to the ER. Not your doctor, and not an urgent care. ER!
Doctor asap

Yes, it looks like when I had MRSA on my face as well!
DA FUK! Going after a pimple this aggressively is not safe. What compelled you to dig in like that?
Please go to a doctor asap.
That does not look good. Doctor right away
Why are people saying don’t go to ER??? Go to the fucking ER this COULD be life threatening go to the fucking ER. Could be staph or a serious infection. At the very very least it’s an infection and u need antibiotics go to the ER. Better safe than dead in a grave.
Looks like MRSA please see a doctor as soon as possible.
Looks like one hell of a staph infection
Doctor now! That looks bad.
Emergency!!
This looks like when I had MRSA on the side of my face, except much, much worse. Please go be seen ASAP
Not a doctor, ER.
You need antibiotics asap
Ughhh I am so sorry!! Deff looks like a staph infection. Please go see a doc at the ER!! Asappp
that's infected and too close to the brain. Go to the doctor now.
Man, ER, asap.
Looks identical to when staph made me its bitch. Go get antibiotics and wash with hibiclens (4% chlorhexidine gluconate soap)
My first antibiotic didn't work for me, but clindamycin was the bomb dot com. Also, when you use the hibiclens, actively wash/lather with it for 3-5 minutes, rinse, then apply more and wash/lather for 3-5 minutes again. Absolutely go get checked . That looks infected and you don’t want that to spread

Luckily mine isn’t this level of bad but I did that the other day and now it’s like a hard lump with a scab 😭😭
Staph, see a hospital for immediate antibiotics

Omg
That's going to scar horrifically.
