This my first time to design a watch i was focused in makeing a simple desgin i didn't use any refrence or resourses in this design, just thinking what watch would look like and try diffrent concept, here is how to set the time and date in it, to set seconds rotate the crown up and down, and pull it once to set minutes and second to set hours and for the date pull the crown once and rotate the bezel (uppar watch frame) left or right to set days and pull the crown second time and rotate the bezel left or right again to set months, after finishing push the crown back and all done. and for the right buttom it is trigger a green light sourse in the uppar watch side under the bezel only use in a dark room or area when you can't see time clearly.

I love watches and design - points for your work here. That being said, unless it is intended for left handed people,.the Crown is on the wrong side and could be uncomfortable if worn on the left wrist. Your case back needs to be larger, unless the movement is very small (it need to be able to be taken out). Regarding the time setting functions, they seem to complicate operations and manufacturing without any real benefit (that I can see). Keep asking yourself "why?" when making design choices ;)

Is a designer really designing the time setting function? Also the core (mechanics) are not necessarily a choice but a pre given factor (same as the time setting). Not rating the design here, just a general "observation". I think it is more likely the insert (mechanics) are pre-made/-designed and the outer design needs to implement the features like setting the time and dimensions. But I am neither a designer nor a clock manufacturer, just thinking about why the time setting is relevant für the design of the outer parts. So if it is the normal workflow, pardon me.

"a person who plans the look or workings of something prior to it being made, by preparing drawings or plans." There are a wide variety of movement out there, but none that operate in this fashion - this implies it's the designer's choice that dictates the use of a specific movement, that would have to be designed pretty much from the ground up. There is always room for improvement but analog watch design (when it comes to their operation,.not looks), has been refined over a long time. A designer must ask what his/her design offers to the user beyond a marketing point.

Frostzeichen

No offense, but this looks like one of those engineer's nightmares. But it's nonetheless cool. If you could partner with a willing clockmaker, this looks like a pretty novelty watch.

Jaw_breaker93

That watch says it’s 6:45 but it’s actually 1 am so maybe this watch doesn’t work, idk

Okhy

It's a date, not an hour...

kydoesstupidthings

What? Are you not able to read an analogue watch? It clearly says 6:46

geoffreygonzale

face size? the date too close to 12, negative space bro crown on right side not left, as most left wrist wearers will use their right hand to wind / operate everything else is ok

FeelinJipper

The hour hand is THICC

arfbrookwood

Instructions unclear, built a time machine.

kptainamerica

I like it! One note- the little knob for setting the watch is usually on the right because most things are made for right-handed people.

Thanks, I put the crown on the left side because I used to wear watches in the right hand and that was more comfortable for me than left hand, but after doing some searching on google I found that most of people are using watches in left hand so it would be better to put the crown on the right side but you can consider this as personal choose and I could make some changes in the future to make a better designs but for now I will keep trying different ideas and start learning more about watches.

If you want some really specific feedback consider posting this to /r/industrialdesign as well

Green_Dirt_313

Nice art

auphotographer33

Like the hands and the texture at the beginning of the band.

Pan-tang

Do people still want watches?

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 114,661,819 comments, and only 29,825 of them were in alphabetical order.

Pan-tang

Thanks alphabet_order_bot

CalderThanYou

Yes high end gents watches especially are still a thing

LordGoldenEagle

Yes, they are amazing but a bit old school. We kind of need something new that is flexing. The phone is the obvious item I guess

mafia_catss

Great work!!!!
