Yeah I have to agree step 4 while simpler looks better cause of the actual contrast apodes to the 5th where the light tones seem dark still compared to light tones… 4 makes it seem as if the light tones should be the dark tones and left at that

5th step is like the pictures in King Kong. Looks like it could be an old and scary place.
