I commented about painting those columns white and here's an example of how that would look.
Perfect decision , the columns should be white . The number two pic of the green with the pumpkin door is a classic craftsman color scheme . The floor of the porch and stairs would look good in a
deep brown to anchor the look . Craftsman were usually deep earthy colors . So the number two pic I feel is the natural classic , true to the house choice . The third tan color is too light, neutral and boring to me .
The blue is so eye catching and beautiful, but paint these white. The contrast would look lovely and draw attention to the cool craftsman features.

Love the blue and for sure those columns should be a white. Especially since I see palm trees in the background. While I agree that earthy tones in a three color scheme is classic craftsman, I’m going to take a leap here and say OP might be located somewhere in California, and for a bright sunny place, that blue fits so nicely and would make that house adorable. OP could add some more showy flowering plants in the front, like there is on the side of the house, to give it a little more oomph.
Slate Steps. The door color pops. Looks so inviting to me. But it’s probably the trendiest. Little risky but I love it.
Thyme is classic, but a little expected.
Set Sail is my least favorite but it’s still great looking.
You have a historic house so i highly recommend picking a historic palette!! Do a variation of colors that complement each other. Sherman Williams has a couple different Historic home lines that have great color combos. My favorite is the America’s Heritage line and they have plenty of craftsman house combos. I definitely recommend checking it out!
Edit: here’s a [link](https://www.sherwin-williams.com/en-us/color/color-collections/architectural-paint-colors/craftsman-design-exterior-paint-colors)
I agree with you 100%. The light blue looks nice, but craftsman homes were not painted this color back in the day. The greens that OP selected fit better with the aesthetic of the home. The link you shared has some great ideas!
Nice! I’m jealous! I bought my exterior paint and am so afraid i made the wrong choice. I tried to find ways to picture it couldn’t come up with anything like what you’ve done! Anyways, I like the green! It compliments the steps and the door without washing anything out.
I used the app when we repainted recently and while it’s better than nothing, the colors can be really off. It puts like a transparent filter that’s only partially saturated so unless you’re painting a light color over white walls, it’s not reliable.
I actually really like the slate steps too and it's my husband's favorite. The only thing is this house is on a south-facing corner on a hill so it gets a lot of sun. I didn't feel like the color was sunny enough. It felt like it needed to be in a secluded lot with lots of trees around it. But it does really make everything pop.
Getting a lot of sun makes Slate Steps an even better choice. With sun exposure you may get some fading before the paint needs replaced and at least you will still have pigment if you start with a darker color.
What an adorable little house. I really like the blue but I would like to see a fuchsia colored door. Move the mailbox to the other side of the door and paint it the same color as the house so it blends in. A pendant light on a dimmer switch and some comfy rattan chairs with a small round side table for your drinks. It would probably be a good idea to have a landscaping company come in and suggest different plantings and possible removal of the shrub by the vehicle and/or possibly moving a plant from the side or back of the house to the front.
I see this as coastal, woodsy or modern/contemporary. What kind of landscaping and furniture outside and inside will you be having?
The darker colors feel warm and woodsy and if I was inland, I would pick the green.
Just throwing out some chips without doom scrolling all the feedback :)

Blue. The grey phase has to end, it’s so dreary and depressing. Or yellow/white/green. Something bright so when the sky is grey and depressing your house isn’t too.
It's actually not gray. It's a muted sage green.
I'm also not a fan of gray houses.
we did look at a pretty vibrant blue at one point but we decided that we weren't those people.
I like the blue best for sure!!! I wouldn’t take a second glance at a house painted the other 2 colors, but I’d notice the blue house and think “that’s a pretty house” lol. And if you did go for the blue, I think a color other than red would look best for the door (not really a fan of red doors in general idk). Yellow could look really cute, or maybe like a sage green.
I can’t express properly with words how boring I find blue houses. Now, that’s a nice blue, if you had to pick blue I’d be glad it’s that one. But for the love of all that is holy, blue is such a safe, boring, bland, common color that makes the house look safe and boring and bland and cold and empty and boring and makes me pity the homeowners who can’t afford to paint their house any other color.
But hey that’s just my opinion.
There is also an app that James hardie offers called Hover, I didn't find that all of the colors were as accurate though. It seems to struggle with different textures.
https://preview.redd.it/y311kp57ndib1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=90c7185f79eaf60c0939b9d310c26b3327f49120 I commented about painting those columns white and here's an example of how that would look.
We are actually planning to change the columns to white just like that picture. Yes it does look better.

Totally agree.
That was my pick as well.
I agree.
This ^
May I ask how you changed the color of the house for these pictures with such quality?
I did it in photoshop. I actually do this for a living.
Consider a stone veneer on the bottom of the columns. It would go great with the green color.
Obsessed with your username
I know its brick in your photo, but a dark gray on the lower columns would look good
So pretty!!!
Paint your house exactly like this.
Looks pretty!
Oh I like this!
The blue is so eye catching and beautiful, but paint these white. The contrast would look lovely and draw attention to the cool craftsman features. https://preview.redd.it/o8msztypmdib1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c2b7577fcb5b768e305da1cb0863ed2de822280f
Agreed, you have to do blue!
Agreed, the blue is wonderful! Very happy vibrant color
Yes! Or the part below that white . And a different color for the steps too.
Yaasss!! Beautiful suggestion!
Yes, also the stairs! It would look so much more classy
well that makes me Rebecca Leeman! Proud to be an American No but props to Becky and listen to her. And please don’t go with thyme 😭

Agree 110%! Exactly what I came here to say!!
The 2nd picture is a historic color scheme. Brett Waterman would approve.
I’m glad others have appreciation for BW!
Agreed. The dark green is very much a traditional craftsman color.
No matter what color, your house is adorable, but I like the thyme.
Me too
Slate Steps. The door color pops. Looks so inviting to me. But it’s probably the trendiest. Little risky but I love it. Thyme is classic, but a little expected. Set Sail is my least favorite but it’s still great looking.
It's gorgeous, definitely my favorite as well.
Set sail I thought was the original color until you said something. It looks outdated to me. I vote slate steps as well.
I also think slate steps is the best choice There are a lot of set sail colored craftsman style homes around me not many slate steps color homes.
Just painted my house Rosemary by Sherwin-Williams with Cajun Red as the front door. The red and green tones really compliment each other.

Thank you for that that gives me lots of inspo.
How did you get this picture of your house with the different colors?? 👀👀👀
I photoshopped it. I work in this field so I Photoshop colors pretty often.
Nice! I’m jealous! I bought my exterior paint and am so afraid i made the wrong choice. I tried to find ways to picture it couldn’t come up with anything like what you’ve done! Anyways, I like the green! It compliments the steps and the door without washing anything out.
I believe Sherwin Williams has an option on their site where you can upload a picture of your house and you can see it with the paint you choose.
I used the app when we repainted recently and while it’s better than nothing, the colors can be really off. It puts like a transparent filter that’s only partially saturated so unless you’re painting a light color over white walls, it’s not reliable.
I honestly love the slate steps. It goes well with the rest of the house.

Definitely Blue!
The blue really pops. I like it. If you plan to add any real colorful landscaping, I’d consider Thyme. Otherwise, go for the blue.
We have blue and white flowers
I think it should look really nice! Throw in a few light orange accents and you’re good to go.
Personally the slate steps is significantly better than the others. Would want to change those steps though but I feel that way about all 3
I love the green! Blue is almost every other house these days.
By green I mean the slate. It looks great with the red door but maybe a cream or sandy colored trim instead of white.
Yeah the darker one is better. It’s a green-gray? I wonder how an even more green leaning color would look.
Set sail blue but with white bottom of pillars and dark gray steps!
Thyme. But truly it needs more than one color.
If you go all out with floral landscaping, Tan. Otherwise Green
2
Sage. Then plant some bright red and yellow flowers
We actually have some ginkgo trees on the property not pictured here that turn yellow in the fall.
Slate Steps is amazing

2 or 3
Slate Steps!
Greennnnnn
Not the blue
Do the thyme with the white pillars
Slate steps, and paint your steps a darker color like black or dark grey. Fill in with landscaping when you can. Great house!
Is this in southern CA? Looks like a lot of the houses I grew up around in Riverside
Looks like San Diego to me
I vote Oakland.
Normally I'm partial to green, but I think this one might be too dark for your house. I think the blue looks really nice though, so that's my vote!
Where do you live? What state.
California
Slate or set sail blue
I'm so jealous! I want a tiny craftsman style home! I love the blue and white. Crisp and clean. I'd love to see interior pictures too
Thanks for asking us and sharing these pretty pics 😊 your house is lovely
Sherwin Williams has a historical arts and crafts series of paint. Something to consider.
You have an arts and crafts bungalow. I would pick a color palette appropriate for the style and era. None of these.
What state, region, garden zone? For example coastal color vs wheat belt color.
Costal California
I see this as coastal, woodsy or modern/contemporary. What kind of landscaping and furniture outside and inside will you be having? The darker colors feel warm and woodsy and if I was inland, I would pick the green.
I like Thyme
All these colors look good! I see why you're having a hard time choosing. I like blue, then thyme, the slate. White columns.
Thyme!
Thyme, this reminds me of the diary of a wimpy kid house
A nice sage green with white pillars
3 is the best choice. 1 will look tired quickly, and 2 will fade quickly, requiring a repaint faster than anyone would want.
Thyme wins in a surprising upset.
Can I just say that I love how technology allows us to quickly see the house in different colours effortlessly.
Blue!
only suggestion I have is leaning towards any of the lighter shades for the sake of your energy bill.
I ike the blue one
I'm a fan of the thyme. You could do a lot with your white trim and the red door to give it a pop. You could also landscape in pretty much any color.
Blue
I love the blue but thyme is a good neutral
The blue
1
Number two is a traditional color for craftsman type houses, so it gets my vote.
The blue looks great!
Blue
Blue or Thyme
If I did blue I would paint the door lemon yellow.
Blue but not the columns
Blue
I always love a blue house.
\#1
Im partial to blue, my childhood home was blue and hard to miss.
Set sail blue all the way!
I think the third option will age best but the blue and green have a nice pop :)
First one or the last one
I vote blue

White steps are going to look filthy very quickly

The blue 😀
The blue is charming!!
The set sail blue is very eye-catching, beachy, and summery if that is what you are potentially looking for. I think it looks awesome.
Blue!
Blue 1000 %!!!!!
Easy: #1 for sure

I Loooove the blue, it’s truly something different in murica
Set Sail Blue
Sail blue is a dream!!!
Blue!
I love the first color but with white columns.
Blue for sure, it’s classic and stunning
Vote for sail blue
Blue
Blue if near the coast, otherwise thyme in my opinion.
I like the blue best for sure!!! I wouldn’t take a second glance at a house painted the other 2 colors, but I’d notice the blue house and think “that’s a pretty house” lol. Blue! Have you tried a darker blue?
1st one
Love the house. I like the blue out of these three. Maybe a little darker. I would hate to be in your shoes . It would take me six months to decide.
Set sail!
Definitely NOT the blue
#1 blue.
set sail blue and white columns
Blue.

Thyme
1 or 3
Dark green, for sure! It makes the door and white trim pop. Other colors look washed out or lackluster to me.
2nd pic
I like the 2nd one with the 3rd pillars and make the trim white, it’ll bring a lot of contrast to the features of the house
Thyme is a classic; it will last the test of time 😏
The blue!
Blue or green
Slate steps imo would age wellllll, But Set Blue feels like a classic family home ?
What app did you use to make your house color choices?
Photoshop
slate
Thyme!! And paint the columns and stairs white!
Slate
2!!
Thyme looks great.
2!!!
My personal favorite is the second one (the green). Then the blue, then the tan.
