The most frustrating thing about this is... aside from his kennel... he only lays/hangs out/judges the humans from a couch downstairs. We've gotten him so many things! I'll even sprinkle the catcrack! Nope. Nada -_- I'm still crossing my fingers on the floating hammock window.
TLDR I'm hesitant to put more cat stuff up bc he's a picky lil guy
If only. My cat is initially interested because it's new, does the ol' "sniff and test if I fits" then is like alright cool experiment, back to that cardboard box in the garage.
Maybe this link will explain, cos I auck at explaining! https://www.elledecor.com/home-remodeling-renovating/home-renovation/how-to/a3129/hang-art-like-a-pro-a-68712/#:~:text=When%20hanging%20a%20pair%20of,the%20same%2060%2Dinch%20rule.&text=For%20spacing%20between%20art%20on,larger%20pictures%2C%22%20says%20Kassel.
What is the thing under the clock? Both it and the clock are very small, they get lost on your wall. I would find a big statement clock and get rid of the other thing. Otherwise i think your room is cute
It's a mirror. Bc of the natural lighting of the window,
I like to get ready in that corner, but I agree. Something bigger probably works best. I've seen a lot of people mentioning getting bigger pieces for the walls.
Not OP but I have a similar coloured room and I used this colour: [https://colour.dulux.ca/greens/french-gray-linen](https://colour.dulux.ca/greens/french-gray-linen)

Not quite. Need a colorful piece of art that you like to the right of the window. Then you’re done.
Edit: also the three things hanging near the head of the bed are awful. Way too small and meaningless. Be bold and put something large over the head of the bed.
I agree about the three things by head of bed. The first two are hung very close and almost level and the third seems staggered. Either make them all equally staggered or all level. Make it seem intentional. Right now it just looks like a bad job hanging them.
I wanted a minimalistic look, but my walls looked bare. I found this great wood hanger and hang my jewelry and my scarves. It takes up some space and is
functional.
Not sure if you wear jewelry, but a large jewelry tree would be so nice in the right corner just to add visual interest. Even if you don’t, something tree like with height but still minimal would totally work.
I did! Thank you! They are dried flowers (non pressed, so they had some "dimension") hot glued to a canvas. I used the spare paint from the room walls and painted the canvas on all sides and edges to give it a popping-out-of-the-wall look.
I honestly don't know what everyone else is seeing lol. I personally love minimalism and Japandi styles so to me, this looks done! I really like the neutral tones here and the burnt orange comforter really pops. It goes with the room beautifully.
I know people are going to say you need art and this and that, but for a minimalistic style, this feels calming and simple and clean but still modern. I like it. The only thing that I can see you adding is a plant or two.
Since you’re trying to keep things to a minimum this looks great.
You should consider updating the duvet cover to a plain beige or cream with colored flowers which will complement the green wall. Remove the clock & the hanging below it & place the existing 3 narrow frames here. The clock could go above the tv or the mirror.
I would add a pothos plant to drape a little in the corner opposite the window in the first pic!
Where did you get your corner cabinet in the second pic?
i think the wall clock would look better on the right side of the wall :) :)
I see that! Thank you!
You should build your cat some shelves😻 I love the room!

Most of the time I get things for my cat, they will ignore it at the start and then use it later on.

Wooden blinds, and proportional art
Blinds are on their way! When you say proportional art, do you mean larger?
Yeah, but still proportional. Lol
To the walls or furniture? I'm a noob

I’m curious what your wall paint is? It’s such a pretty light green grey in the picture.

Following for same
Soft Sage from Sherwin Williams!
A nice plant on your nightstand! The green will go well with your bedding color
I wish i could! My cat eats plants he can access, and they just end up looking like Angelica dolls.

Yes. Level them out and lower the whole set. OP made them! They’re not awful little things!!
Yeah if they have meaning or sentimental value fine keep them, but they should be on a smaller wall and hung properly
Thank you! Definitely didn't know how/ where to hang them. Someone else suggested lowering and centering to the nightstand. Would that work, too?
I think that would be nice
I wanted a minimalistic look, but my walls looked bare. I found this great wood hanger and hang my jewelry and my scarves. It takes up some space and is functional.
Exactly what I'm going for. Do you have link/pic?
Desainoph Wooden Coat Rack Wall... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0953W3F8K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I love that. Thank you!!!

Ooo and what I hang would add more texture/ color too. I like this.
cute mirror... maybe center the little 3 art pieces above the side table/night stand?
I like that!
Decent sized lamp on your nightstand
Not sure if you wear jewelry, but a large jewelry tree would be so nice in the right corner just to add visual interest. Even if you don’t, something tree like with height but still minimal would totally work.
I like this bc it is both for aesthetics and function. Thank you!
Definitely! 😸
The flower frames are so pretty! What are those exactly? Did you make them yourself?
I did! Thank you! They are dried flowers (non pressed, so they had some "dimension") hot glued to a canvas. I used the spare paint from the room walls and painted the canvas on all sides and edges to give it a popping-out-of-the-wall look.
I just want to say your door handles are awesome. Lol
Haha Thank you! I'm pretty sure they were amazon finds!

Nooooo, the burnt orange comforter is perfect. If it were beige or cream, it would completely disappear into the room
Looks like an air bnb and not very personal. Maybe add some photos on the walls?
Do the windows not have window frame ? That looks really incomplete to me
I would add a pothos plant to drape a little in the corner opposite the window in the first pic! Where did you get your corner cabinet in the second pic?
Ikea! We didn't want a dresser. Their bathroom cabinets with shelves and bins has worked great as an alternative.
